- In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we follow the story of 5 centre forwards, who all have the personality of 'Mercenary'. They are potentially world class talents, but start out as young prospects who need to be nurtured to reach their potential. you can have 1 player whos career gets managed by you vs 1 player who's career gets managed by fm , who becomes the better player and who wins the most trophies
Almost certainly me, cos I'd just move the player to a team thats dominating, unless there are rules on place? I like the style of idea though. Kinda adjacent to second yellow cards agent series right?
@@jayhuahuait could be similar but you could try make it different by doing certain challenges. For example you can’t leave a club until you’ve won a trophy or even a player journeyman (win wc with African nation mls libatedores champs league and Asian champs league)
Do one with 4 player managers and go through there careers see if they go old school like a Dalgliesh or if they stop either playing or managing also give the opposite stats e.g. dirty player but disciplined manager.
Interesting. I am going to attempt a player/manager career sim. I might try something more complex once one sim is successful
@@jayhuahua you can choose players with bad hidden traits so not all the players always suceed ,and when you move the player it's best you do it as the manager too so you get random offers from random clubs and you have to take risks ,try not to look at all the player attributes on those team , it makes it a lot more fun

congrats on 6k! love the vids, i'd love to see something along the lines of giving a tiny nation (san marino maybe) 11 free agent mercenary wonderkids, and see what clubs they move to and how the sanmarineese national team does

Experiment idea - two identical teams of wonderkids, one has crap staff but perfect facilities, the other has perfect staff but crap facilities (might need to use in game editor between seasons to extend contracts/reset facilities) - see which team develops the best.
Staff is always a bit of a problem as it is very unpredictable, very hard to get it right. I am trying though

The fact I have 6k is insane. Mid Nov I had 3500 so the growth has been mental. Hope to keep growing
Just found your channel and I love the content. A lot of FM channels out there just want to teach us how to get better at the game which is cool but seeing so many cool experiments is very interesting.

You can do on field partners with different personalities to see who grows faster.
Ex two CBs, two CMs, etc
Identical stats, facilities, competition, and the like. Only separated by personality
I am looking at on field partners, hadn't considered different personality types for it 🤔
You should make a video where you give player high attributes that are useless for their role but on other are amazing, something like winger with good tackling and other stuff - it would be interesting to see if AI will re-train them to other positions or play them at their natural. Would be also good if u had different type of players - high potential, low CA and other way around Max CA so AI maybe wont retrain them knowing they maxed their CA

The best part of this video was right at the end 😂 nottingham forest have gone crazy 😂 probably the first video where none of the wonderkids met our expectations. Fair to say all of their careers have been flops
There was reasonable success but it wasn't as insane as it could or maybe should have been. I think Mercenary as a personality is still decent for progress and it let us all down here with it's moment in the spotlight

Challenge idea : how far can a team from level 10 (using custom database) can go while only being able to use youth players (club is under transfer embargo but has perfect training and youth stuff)

Just found a team called “something from nothing” in level 12
Would be interesting to see how a decent team (14/15 in relevant stats) with 20 consistency do against a perfect team with 1 consistency if you put them both in the prem or something
I have something set up for consistency kind of along those lines. Just need to simulate Nd record it 👍

Haha i am glad I can bring some peace during those testing times. Level 10 can be a bit volatile as editing into a database made by someone else is trickier. I would like to do something though... 🤔 any ideas
True, how about CAN A LEVEL 10 TEAM OF MODEL CITIZENS GET TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE? Think you’d need to make the club professional though so they weren’t on AMA contracts.
Guess you could do a variant where they’re locked at the club forever, and one where they are free to leave and have wild journies. 😂

Anyone else hate when a player plays in Germany or France / another team with second teams in proper leagues, and their career history screen gets so cluttered up with multiple lines per year for the second team and then the first team

Omg i am literally going mad at this in a video I am currently editing 🤣 also happens in Spain and the player plays for Villareal, Villareal B and Villareal C. Proper cluttered and it annoyed me greatly. So no, you are not alone
So mercenaries are more ambitious than people who are fairly ambitious, that makes no sense 😂

I too would love to see that. I have a player on my current save whose proneness is about 18 and doesn't get injured much, and another on 9 who is constantly getting crocked 🤦🏻♂️
