@Daniel Guevara Hi Daniel, Dallas Jenkins is not a Mormon but Angel Studios was founded by Mormon brothers. When The Miracle Maker was made by Murray Watts depicting the life of Jesus the puppet makers were from the former Soviet Union and had previously made propaganda films. I am well aware of the differences between orthodox Christians and Mormons. The depiction of Jesus in The Chosen is faithful to the Gospels.

I am late watching this interview, but I had wondered for many years what Jesus and his disciples and other followers talked about while traveling and in between the dialogue accounts in the Bible. I know Jesus said far more than what is in scripture and so did his followers. What was life like on the road? Did they joke and laugh? The stuff between the lines? I love the character portrayals! When you think of God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit do you think of Him by His scriptural attributes, or by the image you've seen in movies, books, or art?
The actor for the Matthew Jesus, Bruce Marchiano, has actually been asked to show up to conferences and talks in costume. That's never sat well for me, so I actively avoid all imagery of Jesus, which also includes other Bible times media.
Another issue is the sufficiency of scripture. If you need an aid to "get closer to Him" then is the Bible truly enough?
Doreen Virtue did an amazing interview on her channel that explains how grievous this show is even better.

I would be less likely to compare The Chosen to Game of thrones. To me the only thing that The Chosen has with GOT is it is multiple episodic program. The production and the care taken in every aspect of the program has more in common with Lord of the Rings in the amount of care given to be true to the text. Everyone involved in the making of LOTR was completely on board with making a movie wanted to be as close to the text of the books as possible. Those are the only two cinematic media representations that I have seen where the the entire production staff were completely on board with representing the source material as close as possible.

In prayers with the Lord, He will tell me one thing in my mind and heart and then sometimes I don’t understand so He clarifies in our communions. So that’s what I mean. I feel that it is because we believe that the Fullness of Christ's doctrine needed to be restored, thus the name of the church, but with that comes things that were lost, even now, from modern day Christian churches.
Alot of people don't like this, or are ignorant of what we actually believe, and so they consider us "not Christian".

While denominations have differing views on some things like baptism and if you can lose your faith, we base all these arguments off the inspired word of God alone, the Bible.
The LDS Or Mormon or whichever, is based on a flawed man’s revelation, to find and translate (with a seer stone, a act of sorcery the Bible condemns to begin with) a new book which they say is also the word of God, and then years later another which most people haven’t heard of, the Pearl of great price.
The LDS also says that. Satan is Jesus’s brother, we are also Related to Jesus. We were spirits before the earth was made, caused by Elohim (God) having sex with women in the spirit realms of heaven.
That black skin was the mark of Cain, and all dark skinned people come from Cain, previously barred People of Color from the priesthood for this reason but don’t anymore.
Jesus didn’t fully save you, you have to do all you can to be saved, and as long as you do all you can do you will go to heaven.
And that’s not even talking about [EXPLETIVE] crazy like temple rituals and, I am not kidding, secret undergarments. Look up the rituals they are on youtube

LDS sources: President Hinkely said "Do not believe in the traditional Christ. No, I don't. The traditional christ of whom [Christians] speak is not the Christ of whom I speak." Prophet Orson Pratt and apostle Jedediah Grant said Jesus was a polygamist, Brigham young denied the virgin birth. Bruce McConkie teaches Christ as a man that became God. Joseph Smith teaches Jesus was brother of Satan and was not always God. All of these things are not compatible with the Jesus of Scripture. LDS doctrine teaches that the bible that Christians use is corrupted. Why would one identify with Christianity if you believe that the basis upon which it is formed is corrupt? It's because it's a deceptive tactic used to dissuade any alarm with Christians that are unaware of the actual teachings. I can continue if you would like.

I have not at all leaned toward the opinion that Jesus knew every detail while on earth because He was our example as how to walk with the Father. He had to seek Him out and learn obedience through the things He suffered (Heb. 5:8). He lived in the same way we are called to live in terms of being in an intimate relationship with the Father and being utterly dependent on Him. I think He is our example in being Someone Who lives by the Father's voice just as we are called to do! 1 John 2:6 says that if we abide in Him, we should walk as He walked. In John 20:17, Jesus is already risen from the dead and is calling the Father our Father and God as though to show that we now have entry way into the same type of relationship He had (minus Jesus actually being God and THE unique Son of God...but we are still sons.)

It’s a hot topic because it’s not the same Jesus. They have a Jesus that’s spirit brother to lucifer and was created through intercourse between God and his wife while we have the biblical Jesus who was begotten and can actually save. There are many differences between Mormonism and Christianity that can’t be ignored for the sake of feelings and the sake of not offending. Yes they share the name of Jesus but beyond that that is all they share. Only one Jesus saves and it’s not the Jesus of Mormonism. Doctrine matters greatly and no I’m not one of those people who uses that too be a jerk. Just wanted to make that clear because I know there are people who do use it to be overly judge mental and rude. Yes the full name of the church is the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, but when they say Jesus Christ, they don’t mean the Jesus Christ of the Bible. They mean the Jesus Christ found in the book of Mormon. Biblical Christians have zero in common with Mormon/LDS as far as beliefs about Jesus are concerned. The only thing we have in common is that we are humans.

You do know that Jesus is like resurrected. And like Jesus did say in the Bible that he had ‘other sheep not of this fold’ whom he was to visit. Reckon maybe that Jesus was familiar with ALL people of the earth enough to want them to follow him too. Or is your Martin Luther Jesus merely dust on an old bible and not able to travel, bless others, desire others to save them? Yes, your new 1520 Jesus cannot perform miracles. Nor can talk to people today. Nor appear to chosen people now. Nope, the protestant Jesus cannot speak, move, talk, bless anyone after he died. LDS true Jesus as the resurrected God does all that. He is alive and not dead.
Lucifer as the bible preaches was the name of a good angel in heaven long ago. In fact the bible says Lucifer was a high ranking angel who knew Jesus in heaven. That is what scripture teaches. Then Lucifer rebelled, started a war, was defeated by God and took 1/3 of the other angels with him to hell. And Lucifer’s name was changed to Satan. All biblical if only you opened a bible and read it yourself instead of believing a scam artist preacher indoctrinating you with lies as I outlined.
At least LDS read and know bible better than all other Christians because we all read it as Sunday school. And all of the bible and Book of Mormon match. You do not know that for your religion lies to you and forbids you to actually read the book and not the internet silly. Haha I bet you believe the internet never lies. It says how Martin Luther also performed polygamy weddings. He told his people to ‘Sin and Sin Boldly!’ That is true because the internet told me. Hahahah

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ and believe in the Jesus of the Bible with all of my heart. He is my Savior. To me, he is no different than anything I have ever heard any Christian say. I have so many Christian friends and have never had a conflict. Perhaps the distinction you are speaking of isn't an accurate observation. Just a thought. Perhaps in God's eyes it would be worth it if we just loved each other, even in our differences. Even then, rather than focusing on differences, focusing on what we can relate to that is the same. None of us know everything, no sense in pretending like we do. Let us believe differently and love the same, as Jesus taught.
I love how the chosen depicts everyone havingnan opinion on "how" to follow the Scriptures and yet at the end of the day each and every one of them had so much to learn from Jesus, they were all humbled.
