You are an excellent interviewer. You ask different questions and brought out some new information and ideas from other Jonathan interviews. Thank you. My favorite scene is after the healing of the paralytic, when Jesus and his friends are leaving and he catched Matthew's eye, as Matthew kind of hides in an alleyway, curiously watching Jesus. And Jesus 'knew' he was there and stops to look at Matthew. That look they give each other brought me to tears.

I can tell you that it's wrong. We should not be imagining anyone's face when we pray; the Bible never gives us a description of Jesus, because it is himself that we are to focus on, not how he looks. Don't go on your feelings. Go to the Bible and read it. Throw away all the preconceived notions that the Chosen has given you. The Bible is about Jesus, in particular his work of redemption from sin. This tv show is only muddying the waters, turning Jesus' life into a soap opera that people want to 'binge', and creating an image in people's minds which they then carry with them into the Bible.

Do not believe Bobbett. Jesus was God incarnate, made flesh. He had a human face, and you can imagine it. From the earliest times of the Church the people painted Jesus for prayer purposes. You are not blasphemous.
I have been a Christian since I was 5, and have thought this is as close we will get to know what Jesus is really like. Chosen will stand with the Passion of Christ, although Jesus is more real in this film.

Being humble is something a lot of Christians fail to do, myself included. It is so easy to become judgemental or prideful in your daily walk of faith that it gives off a vibe of self righteousness that is such a turnoff in the world's eyes, like the example Jesus gives of the Pharisee praying that he is so thankful he is not like the average sinful man. It was the poor sinful beggar who felt so unworthy that he couldn't even pray with his eyes lifted toward heaven in repentance and humility. We all must realize that each individual's righteousness is as filthy rags in God's eyes. It is all because of God's grace, mercy, and love that we receive the blessings of the Lord. Being humble, that is something Christ emphasized over and over again to his disciples and is what Mr. Roumie has emphasized here as well, and he is so correct.
@Germie Napkins24 How do you know that the production crew is a part of LGBTQ?? Do you have a source for that? And ''One world relgion'' is not what Dallas Jenkins means with the slogan ''get used to different'' I'm pretty sure.

@@bevlp561 Jim Caviesel not only was hit by lightning twice while hanging on the cross during filming, but he contracted pneumonia and dislocated his shoulder which required surgery. Also, after being in "The Passion of the Christ," Jim found that for the most part that Hollywood had blacklisted him from working in other movies because of his personal, Christian beliefs. Fortunately, Jim has been able to earn a living in other faith based films.
I understand. I have two adult sons and even tho they were raised exactly the same they are completely different. They are 7yrs apart but my oldest has broke my heart in ways I can't explain. He never got into any trouble but around 14 when he got got first girlfriend he changed completely and I never got him back. I pray every night that his heart be changed but he seems to be getting worse. Luckily my youngest has been a blessing. Keep praying because The Most High knows our troubles and hears our cries and prayers. I will pray for your son and stay blessed friend!
I really like Jonathan. I was raised Catholic, and 42 years ago I met Jesus forgiveness and been reading and studying the word since. Ive grown so much in His love and care. Its all about Him and Him only that gets us to Heaven. No man made up purgatory or praying to anyone else but Him. That’s what He said in His word throughout the old and New Testament. Jonathan’s work as Jesus is touching my soul so much. It’s a gift. And yes we do have to stay humble to God. Thank you for your time you are giving to Jesus and Dallas. I Pray the same thing for my son. I miss the son I used to laugh with, play games with, imagine stories with, and hug. He left home at 20. He is now 40. He never wants to see me. I raised him to love Jesus, his sister, be responsible which he was doing well. Even starred in main roles in plays when at first He was quiet and shy. Made friends easily. A team player not a fighter. But His minister dad left us and was never a father to him again. That was 6. He went off and still does the job of an evangelist says he’s a biblical mystic? We stayed Christians in church and He had a great youth leader, and then his step-father lived two lives which eventually caused us to be on our own without him. It broke his heart. He never was the happy, light hearted, caring for the homes rules or even his sister which they were so close before. Drinking, partying, gaming, weed, he was going no where fast. His sister got him a do the military which was so great for him. He’s a ATC the past 15 years yet still I don’t get to see him. Life wasn’t easy for us so he has bad memories and connects them to me. His sister got lost without her brother in her life, no father, me working too much. They both were A students but my daughter never got out of the drug life since. We are all apart and who knows if we will ever see each other again. I pray for them so much. I could have done better. Now on disability and never married again. Been just me and God for 21 years now. I miss them both but they aren’t who I know anymore. The world grabbed them but I have to believe that Jesus won’t let them go off alone without Him for too much longer. I pray. Oh God I pray for my kids. 40, 37. Broken inside which needs your healing power and love. I pray for all us parents who are going through the same thing. God bring our kids back. Back to you and back to family. Thank you Lord.
Jonathan, how wonderful to hear about your Egyptian faith origins! I lead an effort to pray for the persecuted church, and we will be praying for the Christians in Egypt this month. May the Lord continue to bless all your efforts for Jesus!
Yup even without movies! And the Bible has been the #1 best sellers for decades and the most translated! Pretty good record for something so many feel was not 'alive' until now!

So REAL? Can you please show me where to find those words in the Gospel account of Messiah's words? It is fiction and fiction is not truth. Seek God in His word not in some fantasy tv series that will cause you to accept the ANTICHRIST who disguises himself as an angel of light. Wake up!!
Thank you, Paul. This interview was a blessing in many ways. Like your wife, I used Jonathan's prayers as a way to close my day with love and worship. As a protestant I found Catholic prayers a little strange at first but have come to appreciate them. The Chosen has definitely drawn me closer to Jesus and back to the Bible. I could not ask for more.

God Bless You, Always Jonathan Roumie! Your portrayal of Jesus in THE CHOSEN, the Holy One, the Son of God, The Master, The Healer(part man/part God), has inspired so many. As an actor, the human touch you add to each scene is simply amazing! It unites us in so many ways as human beings. I'm also a music lover. Thanks to my Father Dr. Albert Chassagne, the Hymns of Worship will Always be a Cherished Part of My Life. He was a Lover of Music(so am I), a singer, a musician. He taught us to Appreciate/Love All Kinds of Music. Thank-you so much for your dedication/approach to each scene in The Chosen. Thank-you also to director/writer Dallas Jenkins. God Bless you Both, Always! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We're just ONE family... Oh my heart at that point ❤YES we are. Whichever part of Christianity we've been brought up in, we're all members of the same body which dies without unity.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful interview. Jonathan engages beautifully in interviews. He is articulate, gracious and down-to-earth.
The Chosen is a phenomenal series. I love Johnathan Roumie. He does an extraordinary portrayal of Jesus. Even more than that, he is always humble and loving.
Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island. We have many beautiful Catholic Churches here. You have played a beautiful part in this series. God Bless you

This scene always brings me to tears. Jonathan is such the perfect choice to portray Jesus. Your interview shows the person and the heart behind the role. Thank you.
I just love this, the arrogance of that rabbi who doesn’t believe in Jesus and he becomes so jealous and disturbed while everybody else rejoices is amazing.
I first saw Jonathan being interviewed on the View, and found out about the Chosen for the first time. I’ve watched the Chosen about 3 or 4 times now - Seasons 1 - 3. Thank you.🎉❤

What a Blessing to get to hear about the real life of Jonathan. Thank you for interviewing him. If you can do one thing please let him know that when he speaks - Jesus’s messages come out through his Spirit. I also love that he prays as Jonathan - the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Rosary and his quick prayers of Gratitude. It’s nice to have the Chosen playing in theses times of the events that are going on in our world today, to bring people closer to our Loving Lord - inspiring people that don’t know him, to get to know him. Keep on being the messenger to the real world in what you are doing. God Bless you and all that getting the messages out to God’s people. Thank you again.
Paul is an extremely good interviewer. The questions were excellent, the followups were even better. This is a gift as important as Jonathan's gifts and skills. As this series gains more followers, I hope this interview will somehow be incorporated into what people can easily find. Tremendous interview.

Because of Jonathan, I started praying the Divine Mercy chaplet and for 33 years. I got really bad attacks when I would try to go to sleep. They have gone away. This man is so blessed.
Thé end of this interview reminded me.of a.beautiful versé that has Always been very spécial to me: Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

I love how Jesus Christ is the one who asks the questions of, "Who is this that speaks Blasphemes?" & "Who can forgive sins, but God alone?". By having Jesus Christ's character saying this, it gives us a different context and a different feel to how this situation is often portrayed. It shows that Jesus is in control of the conversation and that he can decern their accusing thoughts and perceptions. I love that you included the crowd cheering. It's totally the response I would have expected.
Jonathan Roumie is so perfect for the role of Jesus and shows a very Humble heart. Anyone wanting to watch this at any age would definately enjoy the way its not Hollywoodized. It teaches the Bible. Very well put together and excellent acting! Love it!!!!

This is one of my favourite interviews with Jonathan, because of the way we can see your own heart as an interviewer. Your questions are born out of real interest to find the person behind the role, real appreciation for his path without pious shoulder-slapping. I like coming back here from time to time to watch it in light of the path Jonathan has gone since then, and it always feels like good wine, in that it only gets better watching it over time. My Jonathan has led me to my REAL Jesus who I need so dearly. I invite that same Jesus to infuse my art and continue to guard my heart ! I love my Jesus ! I love Jonathan ! Thank you for this great interview !💜
God bless Johnathan playing this critical role of Jesus in The Chosen. I love and have season one and two. My favorite scenes of Jonathan is when I gives reverence to God before and after miracles. It's amazing to see this and feel how Jesus and his disciples are human just like us today! I look forward the the upcoming seasons! 🙏
Jonathan will officially be the face and the voice I hear now, when I think of Christ! I have never been happier to see a Christ who actually looks like what Christ may have looked like while on earth. And when I see Jonathan, I feel 100% like I am watching Christ. It's so beautiful! I almost never like the actors they hire to play Christ. He is almost never right in my mind! Jonathan is one of the first ones, where I didn't spend time thinking, "Oh man. Why did they choose this guy? Oh man, I wish they would've chosen someone else. He just isn't right." I know God is behind this series!, And I was doing the happy dance when I found out they were finally making a detailed series about Jesus Christ! How he has never had even 1 long TV series, is truly unbelievable to me! But thank goodness for these good men, having the strong desire to create this! And thank goodness for all the wonderful people contributing to help it be made! This is truly the spirit moving us to fight for our own film content! We know the money, and the people behind it, are truly godly men and women! People who have been changed by the holy spirit! Who have a desire to give the world the best medication one could ever find, Jesus Christ and His incomprehensible love, light, and joy!

We really needed this in the time and the gospel needs to be spread far and wide. I am excited for today's episode but Dallas said the wouldn't be ready until 2022. I just finished watch season one again for the third time. I am sure I will replay it many more.
Linda hope it will draw you closer to YHVH and YESHUA...BE BLESSED and SHALOM ALEICHEM
Yes, I pray that all involved in the production and their entire audience comes out of whatever they were raised in into being a true follower of Yeshua and the Holy Scriptures.
Thank you. God Bless you for giving so that others may know.
The apostle Paul said their is but one faith and one baptism and that is in Yeshua Hamashiach, not a different faith nor religion.
Because of this series, I have fallen in love with Jesus like never before!!!!
Robyn Gulf Shores Alabama
Robyn, that is awesome! I'm so glad you are enjoying The Chosen. I have interviews with producer Dallas Jenkins and actor Noah James for The Chosen on my RUclips channel or website: paulcardall.com/podcast
I am praying for you Jonathan for your strength and your walk with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit so that others can find Their way. Thank you for obeying God’s call.
I know right
Jonathan, I'm praying every day for you. I'm gonna pray as hard as possible you don't have the same experience Mr. CAVIEZEL did... we can only try but I'm definitely praying in advance for your protection and the rest of the cast.
What do you mean about Caviezel's experience?
@@bevlp561 I don't think this person ever answered your question oh, so I will attempt to do that. Jim Caviezel was severely injured during the filming the passion. He lost so much weight and he contracted pneumonia as well as dislocating his shoulder while he was hanging on the cross. He became very ill and spent time in the hospital.
He won't as the chosen does not upset anyone. The status quo hated Mel and Jim for showing the 'true Jesus' and what he suffered for us!
Wish my son was as careing. I pray God works his miracle
Makes you love Jesus Christ even more and more ♥️✝️♥️
Thank you Patricia!
Amen 🙏🏾!
Holy Spirit does it for me!
Jonathan, how wonderful to hear about your Egyptian faith origins! I lead an effort to pray for the persecuted church, and we will be praying for the Christians in Egypt this month. May the Lord continue to bless all your efforts for Jesus!
Whether we like it or not Jesus Christ is the most famous MAN in the world. Period 😍
Yup even without movies! And the Bible has been the #1 best sellers for decades and the most translated! Pretty good record for something so many feel was not 'alive' until now!
I love when, in THIS JESUS VERSION, Jesus says to the crippled man, "Easy does it."
So precious! So real! ♥️
Thank you Kathleen! I'm glad you are enjoying it. I also have interviewed producer Dallas Jenkins and actor Noah James from The Chosen. You can find them on my RUclips channel or on my website: paulcardall.com/podcast
So REAL? Can you please show me where to find those words in the Gospel account of Messiah's words?
It is fiction and fiction is not truth. Seek God in His word not in some fantasy tv series that will cause you to accept the ANTICHRIST who disguises himself as an angel of light.
Wake up!!
I need to remember "easy does it"!❤️
It's not Jesus that said it. It was Peter
Jesus adored his mother more than anyone. That's why we venerate her.
Cynthia, if you are enjoying The Chosen, I've also recorded interviews with producer Dallas Jenkins and actor Noah James (Andrew). You can find those here on my RUclips channel or on my website: paulcardall.com/podcast
He has done so many things! Soo knowledgeable, his parents must be very proud of their talented son. I wonder who owns his early art work.
What a warm, moving and intimate conversation with Jonathan! Thank you!
Thank you Marie.
I love Jonathan's description of REDEMPTIVE SUFFERING. Jonathan is such a humble guy.
He is, thank you Regina!

An excellent interview... knowing more about the life of Jonathan Roumie....a wonderful actor and a genuine person.

This scene always brings me to tears. Jonathan is such the perfect choice to portray Jesus. Your interview shows the person and the heart behind the role. Thank you.
Thank you Diane, I have more interviews with The Chosen cast here: paulcardall.com/podcast
I just love this, the arrogance of that rabbi who doesn’t believe in Jesus and he becomes so jealous and disturbed while everybody else rejoices is amazing.
It's such a great show.
One of most loved scene - when the HIS BLESSED MOTHER asked Him for a miracle at the Wedding- 💖
The Chosen is awesome and so much about Jesus, not religion. For Jesus is the way, the truth and the life
Jesus, not religion
Amen, thank you Jim.
I first saw Jonathan being interviewed on the View, and found out about the Chosen for the first time. I’ve watched the Chosen about 3 or 4 times now - Seasons 1 - 3. Thank you.🎉❤
Watching him always gives me hope! He is so loving and kind and one can tell by just looking at him.
Yes.
Johnathan you are the perfect person to play Jesus, you gave him the beauty and humanity that we crave to relate to him and yet you gave him the perfect level of elevation. Thank you 💕

Every aspect of it is a masterpiece. There are no weak departments in this production!!
Listening to lots of Jonathan interview, but this has got so many new question and answer..Learn many interesting backstory again. Bravo.Keep it up.May God bless both of you and everyone who listen.
I LOVE every episode! It brings me so much closer to God on a more personal level. Thank you!!!! You made me smile watching Jesus love and joke and care for others yet also teach. So fulfilling. I have watched it so many times. When Mary attended Jesus and felt needed again was so tender and sweet! God bless ALL of you for giving this master piece to us💘
Mechelle, I'm glad you listened to the podcast. I have interviews with actor Noah James and also producer Dallas Jenkins from The Chosen on this RUclips channel or my website: paulcardall.com/podcast
God has to have a sense of humor THE THINGS THAT WE DO SOMETIMES. I even 😃 at myself w/I do something and some verses I. The Bible God brings a sense of humor w/helps me to communicate to others w/respond to humor and it all makes sense. It's personal revelation s to me because I have a peculiar sense of humor. Well he is our Personal Savior He totally relates to us. But humor lightens the heart ❤ But seriously I think thus show is needed now during these days of uncertainty and change. God Bless all of you w/Holy Spirit 🔥 of protection and guidance, Armor of God and Holy Arch Angel's covering and protecting you all
Thank you for this interview. Jonathan is truly humble. Agreed, THE CHOSEN is worthy of awards.
I love The Chosen can 't wait for more episodes!
This world is as hungry for The ANSWER(JESUS) VERY HUNGREY. Knowing they will keep close to the truth of God's Word!!!
Whether they know itbor not, people crave Jesus and truth, and an answer about their future!! God's WORD has those answers and says, "Follow Me!"
Thank you Bonnie! I also have interviewed producer Dallas Jenkins and actor Noah James from The Chosen. You can find them on my RUclips channel or on my website: paulcardall.com/podcast
Definitely worthy of rewards. Wake-up Hollywood and get used to different.
Amen 🙏
Thank you for this amazing interview Paul. Jonathan Roumie (Jesus) is a wonderful Godly man! What a humble actor! Bravo.

What a great human being. Thank you so much Jonathan.
Paul, I loved this interview. I am addicted to The Chosen. I am hoping you do another interview with Jonathan after Season 7. I love Johnathan Roumie. The profound humility he has shines through. ❤❤
The DIVINE MERCY image behind him.... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
YESHUA WE TRUST IN YOU.....
Because of Jonathan, I started praying the Divine Mercy chaplet and for 33 years. I got really bad attacks when I would try to go to sleep. They have gone away. This man is so blessed.
I love Paul's comment/ question about people being spiritual without Jesus and how public finding might negatively affect the future of the show.
Thank you!
Thé end of this interview reminded me.of a.beautiful versé that has Always been very spécial to me: Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Thank you Gabriel.
I could watch that scene another 50 times and still cry

Excellent conversation! I had no idea who Jonathan was as a person, and a drummer, percussionist, illustrator, VoiceOver talent, and Location scout! Fantastic! What a really sweet and nice guy. Humble too! Love his acting in The Chosen, and that he FEELS his way through each scene. Amazing work, Jonathan.
Thank you Sheila for following the podcast, I have interviewed several cast members from The Chosen. You can listen to those here:paulcardall.com/podcast
Mm

I love how Jesus Christ is the one who asks the questions of,
"Who is this that speaks Blasphemes?" & "Who can forgive sins, but God alone?".
Love it!!!!

Thank you Johnathan for sharing your personal life with us God Bless you
This is one of my favourite interviews with Jonathan, because of the way we can see your own heart as an interviewer. Your questions are born out of real interest to find the person behind the role, real appreciation for his path without pious shoulder-slapping. I like coming back here from time to time to watch it in light of the path Jonathan has gone since then, and it always feels like good wine, in that it only gets better watching it over time. I congratulate and applaude you for this, Paul. I love it.
Thank you so much! I hope you also will check out the interviews I did with producer Dallas Jenkins and actor Noah James (Andrew). They are both on you my webpage:paulcardall.com/podcast

@Jonathan roumie you are so much like my son. He was also a drummer self taught and guitar and bass. Played in bands through high school. And continued for a while after college. He Was a fan of the simpsons and loved mimicking those characters, and do exactly what you do with voices. He’s meek and shy and humble just like you. God bless Johnathan playing this critical role of Jesus in The Chosen. I love and have season one and two. My favorite scenes of Jonathan is when I gives reverence to God before and after miracles. Glory to God! Thank you Marilynn.
He just isn't right."
I know God is behind this series!, And I was doing the happy dance when I found out they were finally making a detailed series about Jesus Christ!
