Hi Jeff , I do agree with you .The contemporary music is spiraling down ,so the people listening that crap too. Most of them have no idea about Rockabilly music - look at the comments. I could go on and on because Britain has become the most prolific innovator of music and fashion in the world, so I say again, using your theory, none of these styles should exist in the USA, but how boring it would be.

Durrgghhh. Where did I say it was a southern state. We took it ? what a cretin, nobody has took anything, the music spread beyond the US in the 1950's, and found a home in Europe. Show me a record label producing tracks in the states during the mid 1960's the 1980's if you can. We can show you many record labels and chart hits of the music during this time.

cracking tune, rockabilly music, rock and roll, call it what you want, loved this stuff for over 35 years, since I dug my fathers old record collection out from the cupboard at the age of 15, for you two guys arguing, here's a history lesson! in 1860 there was around 4 million enslaved africans sent from africa to america into a life of hard labour, they sang slave songs wich led to blues, gospel, jazz, rock n roll, etc, sam phillips was to have said elvis sounds like a black man! correct me!
