Please make a tutorial with the OBD adapter👍🏻

You plug in OBD and use Torque. It's not ICE science to set up a monitoring environment for a car on your phone. Well unless you like a walled off garden that's walls are starting to fall like the Berlin Wall.

I set my 85x to do a 80% charge, and overnight it charged to 100%….no idea why

I have exactly the same problem on two Enyaq 85x cars. It happens to me very often, I already claim it and they don't know what to do with it.

I've noticed when using the route-planning with the skoda app and have it set to 100% starting SOC. The car sets the charging limit to 100%. I have the 3.7 sw.

  • @rugbygirlsdadg
    @rugbygirlsdadg 6 месяцев назад

I now have 3.7 and it turns out to be a mistake. Off-peak scheduling from intelligent octopus via my Myenergi Zappi charger no longer works.
When charging from my solar panel excess, the car randomly stops the charging and only restarts when I unlock an relock the car.
My advice to everyone with ME3.0 is DON'T UPDATE until Skoda have fixed the problem.
While this might affect you if you only charge from the grid during the day, there may still be other serious charging issues.
I'll add that other owners are experiencing the same issues.

I have the same issue with my Enyaq 2024 RS. Mine charge to 85 %. The MySkoda app stops charging @ 80 %, but when I go into the car it says that the charge level is 85 % instead of 80 %.

Yesterday was 6th Oct. 24 and I charged my new Enyaq sportline at home for the first time. I charged from 37% to 80% and this morning I also find this same problem . The car has charged to 83% ??

I think that with so many battery cells there could be post charge variations due to temperatures of individual cells . I'd guess that the batteries are split into groups of cells for monitoring so the software can't access the finished state of charge until everything evens out. (only a guess - I've got no expertise in battery management!)

Interesting. I have a 2022 Enyaq on ME3.0. I have no problems with charging currently. I am getting an update to 3.7 next week and I'm concerned about overnight charging via my energy supplier octopus energy. They control my Myenergi Zappi charger remotely and will be turning the charger on and off for several slots overnight.
Currently it works fine. I'm hoping it still works after the update. 🤞

i have just bought a 7 months enyaq coupe vrs , its got software 3.2 on it ,
very happy with the car and love driving it , i bought ohme pro charger ,
i can connect the charger with octopus energy for the cheap tariff ,
i have the skoda connect app on my phone and show up fine there but
in the ohme app where you connect the ev i try to use my skoda connect password
to log in so the charger can see the cars battery level , tried to log in about a hundrew times
    but not working ?
spoke to ohme and they know their is an issue and also spoke to skoda and they also say there
is an issue , so i do dynamic charge but have to work out how much charge i need which only works
in 5 kw increments , i have been charging to roughly 80 percent , if i need 100 percent does it matter
if a put too much percent in the app ? so the car getts too 100 percent and the charger is still charging ?
is that ok to overcharge for the occasional times i need to get too 100 percent ?
hope they fix this api fault ...
if you have the ohme pro can you log on your enyaq with the skoda connect passwords ?

To me it looks mostly like a software/communication issue. The problem lies mostly in the GOM calculation part. The same can be said about battery care mode. I also have this when I charge with ‘Charging locations’. I can set a timer with specified SOC, but it won’t work, it just charges to whatever it likes. 😂
GOM is always a guess for the BMS, but I think this will be fixed by a Over-The-Autohaus update.
The car won’t overcharge, it always stops charging at a certain Cut-off Voltage.

Having the same issue with our 85x, SOC drops 3-5% when i plug in and the car stops charging at 80% but when I get in the car a couple of hours later it shows between 83-85%.

is there a change in the charging loss percentage. kwh delivered from the charger vs. kwh added to the battery, when this happens, and when i doesn't (or you charge to 100%

  • @klausfriman8768

It cannot be sustained charging. As soon as MySkoda app said that 80 % has been reached I went out and unplugged the charging cable. Then I checked the charge level in the car and it said 85. %.

Have an 85 -24 with the same issue that the charge limit sometimes is set to 100%, despite battery care mode. But I haven't noticed any overcharging...yet.

All lithium batteries need to be charged to 100% once per month to allow for maximum performance. If not done, performance will go down and wear will increase. After this 100% charging, performance will be restored.

  • @EV_OBD

Maybe SOC changes when battery pack gets much colder/warmer? Stellantis EVs show less energy in CarScanner when battery gets cold next morning (while SOC remains the same). Also you might want to check the Cell Voltage Delta mV, for any faulty cells.

Did this yesterday and today and grabbed the values...will post an update. But Batteries stayed same temp and same voltage yet a drop auf SoC when plugging in. Car was not moved for over 36 hours.

Very interesting. I have a similar issue with my 2019 Tesla model 3, the range would drop by 2-4% at end of the trip but usually will get the same percentage after charging. Have contacted Tesla service and suggested to put car into sleep (i.e. no charging for a few days), however the problem persists. Will contact Tesla service again if the issue is getting worse or in a few months time

It would be good to know which OBD adapter you are using - and also where the port is on the Enyaq as I've heard it may require some moving of trim?

    • @electrifiedspeicher
      @electrifiedspeicher  6 месяцев назад +1

No trim needs to be removed. Did a video on OBD a while ago on my German channel. Will do a new one in English. OBD port is on the left side of the steering wheel (left driver) and mirrored when right driver down where the pedals are directly under the cockpit. Cannot miss it because it's shiny purple :)
Adapter is linked in the description

Very strange behavior Matthias🤔 Since the Carscanner app (pro version) saves the data while recording, that could give some more clues about what is happening at the Cell level and other parameters of the battery and the BMS. I don’t know what exact BMS value (name) is displayed on the Infotainment display, but that might also be helpful information. The fact that it’s different from what you showed is strange also. Looks like a different parameter.
If I remember correctly you also did some analysis using an export to Excel in a previous video on the OBD adapter and the App? Maybe that will give some clarity since you can plot multiple parameters of a charging session in one graph.

The times my car changed the charging limit to 100% by itself was after using the app. I think 2 times it was after starting cabin preheating via the app but it could be a coincidence

Matthias do you have any news on the Enyaq 2025 face-lift any changes to batteries, infotainment. Ordered an 85x, my wife had a call from the dealer with an update, the dealer was able to look around the new Enyaq and a quick look on line you can see some long lenes photographs taken during testing. I think the newer models could be released later this year - what do you think?

The charger is turning on function(pessimism). Any battery while being charged is going to show a higher voltage(float charge) than it will after removing the charger. If you need a 15min video to explain you that you need to go back to SDI for your daily commute, since you forgot to add in how much rubber the heavier EV is leaving on the road (increasing emissions).
Plug in hybrids all the way
