But this regulation exists in EU and its part of directive known as AFIR. It become effective from April 2024. Requirement of card payment probably apply only on new chargers from this date, old charges have time to end of 2026 (based on law in Poland) . So in Denmark it may be effect of this directive. But Switzerland is not EU member! ;) I haven't yet hes experience in long trip, first be in few weeks, across Poland. For now every trip was within capacity of battery of my car.

Good video and yeah it's crazy how diffrent the prices is, i live in Denmark and Im using Clever, ill pay 799 dkr a month and then i can charge all i want without it cost me anymore, i using about 600 to 1000 kwh a month on my skoda enyaq, i chose clever when we got our first ev car becorse it's impossible as new with ev car to know what it cost to charge, after 2 years with clever i can see it's to expensive and probberly gonna quit it. I have more than one time seen 1 kW at a fast charger for 1 dkr at UnoX during the Tour de France

In Scotland I mostly use chargeplace Scotland the government run network as that have the most chargers. Because the network has been around for some time there are many chargers which were not fitted with contactless so you either need the rfid card or use the app. There is an option to use Web pay for overseas visitors too. When I drive to England I take out a month's ionity subscription and for any others I use the octopus Electroverse card (octopus is the best energy provider with smart tariffs for ev drivers.) the card gives an 8% discount on most chargers and you can have the cost added to your home energy bill if you don't want to use a bank account. With these options I'm covered for all scenarios.

As a Dane I am very happy to hear that you went here for your Vacation! ;) I havent seen your Enyaq unfurtunately. BUT, I actually ordered my own Enyaq 85 RS friday in Mamba Green so just waiting for Mlada for to confirm the delivering date. A little hint: If you go a bit off the bigger highways, fueling stations like OK (A brand like Shell, Circle K, etc) have a lot of 150 KWH fast chargers where its only 2.99 DKK for charging. :) But the same companies typically sell for 3.49 DKK at bigger highways. :) And you can pay with normal creditcards.

I would love a similar video but for the Skoda Kodiaq PHEV. Not much available online, although it will be a few months until customers start receiving it.

Hi Matthias, thanks for another great video. A lot of stuff you take is also in my car as standard. Warning vests, tension belts, a multi tool, universal screwdriver, because you never know. I don’t have Charging adapters and a charging kit. If the 12V battery dies, there is a serious problem that imo can’t be solved with a power bank. One thing I didn’t hear you talk about (maybe I missed it) is an OBD adapter. Together with ABRP it is my essential tool for planning charging stops at the providers of my choice.

Hello Matthias, is it better to use NRGkick with Type2 adapter? Instead of carrying the separate cable Type2. You can save one cable and have more universal solution. That's the way I want to use it for me. One cable for any socket in EU.

I think it's better to use 12V socket for fridge. Skip conversions of 12vDC to 230V AC back to 12V DC.

An alternative is to have monthly subscription with Tesla (subscription included if driving a Tesla). Good to have options. BTW have you compared IONITY with Tesla Superchargers subrscription and electricity fees?

Please borrow three small children and show how to get their safety seats across the back row. That's the only thing from stopping me buying one. Such a pity.

A few weeks ago, I got my KJUST bags for the Enyaq, and they are simply perfect. All five bags fit into the Enyaq perfectly, leaving zero space in the trunk. They are also quite affordable, and you can encourage your family to pack using these bags. :D

My Sportline 85x is on its way now. It’s crossing at the port to Britain. So a few weeks away.

Great Video Matthias, hope you enjoyed Denmark. We are leaving in two days for our vacation (also in Denmark). We are bringing 3 of our children (all adults) and their luggage, and our small dog aswell :-) I bet that Enyaq is full on saturday !! What I always have in my car is a 4 pieces fishing rod (7 feet ), reel and some lures. Nicely hidden in the deep room at the back of the trunk. You never know what the day will bring.

Hei Speicher! Thanks for yet another wonderful video on the Enyaq! We were going to go on a three day road trip across scandinavia in our new Enyaq, but didn't get it delivered on time unfortunately. The amount of stuff planned for the trip was always considering the Enyaq not our current Golf Mk7 - so this video really rubs in the salt for us at we can clearly see we would have had much more room and comfort in the Enyaq. I'm still of the generation that carries around a little PC with VAG-COM just in case and we ended up using it as the Golf is allergic to eastern europe and had a couple of hiccups. I think you are completely right about the travel charging kit, here in the scandinavian region the infrastructure is so good we can and have traveled with our eGolf facelift - even with it's very limited range (by current standards). Our dog has the same cage but a smaller variant, so I'm looking forward to all the real-estate we'll have in the trunk! Keep up the good work with these informative videos!

Do you track temperature in the trunk? I'm curious if just running AC in the car is enough to make sure dog won't overheat in the trunk. In many cars it is way too hot in the trunk during summer, regardless what temperature AC is set on.

Great video with your experience of a long trip on holiday. My experience is much the same in the I charge to a higher level (SOC) than I need just so I have long enough for the break, especially if it is a meal stop.

I set my 85x to do a 80% charge, and overnight it charged to 100%….no idea why

You were as far North as I am, just further east across the sea. Similar "Summer" weather as we have been getting in Scotland.

Very nice video Matthias!👍 Your experience is valuable. And I agree, traveling with an EV is really easy these days. No charging stress. Last May I drove to Lake Garda (1200km) with my wife and daughter with one stopover in Dietmannsried. On route I mostly charged at Ionity also because I like their layout. True, a roof like Fastned has would be welcome. Average consumption on the whole trip (3300km) was 18,5kWh/100km at an average speed of 83km/h. Pretty good indeed. Luckily the average temperature was a little over 20 degrees, so the charging peak of my MY22 Enyaq iV60 reached 130kW most of the time when starting below 20% SOC.

While watching the movie I googled how to get chatgpt. I am on enyaq version 4.0. Your video did not answer this question until the last minute. Would have moved this info to the beginning.

Didn't expect it to work like that, that was too many drawbacks for me at this point. Laura's speech-to-text is too poor already, that's the biggest hurdle to make it useful - I honestly thought ChatGPT would improve that. I'll continue using Google / Siri, don't feel like switching my infotainment to English. Still a great car though.

Imo,just like Laura, ChatGPT is useless in an Enyaq as long as it does not integrate with the Infotainment system. I think that the questions you use to demonstrate it will be correctly answered by Google. That is what I use and it works fine for all sorts of questions. Even jokes 😊

I think you were explaining that Laura and Chatgpt work well in your natve tongue. Perhaps Laura struggles with your use of English which can be, understandibly, sometimes unusual you often mispronounce words or use non- english language phrasing. So I would ask: "what river runs through London ?" Your version of the question seemed overly complicated and I think would lead to an incorrect reply even from a native English speaker. I can only speak one language so this is not a criticism but an observation. 😏

Not what I expected how that works, I'm quite dissapointed. And too few languages, does not work in Finnish. 😢

Thanks for another great video and for sharing your dashboard and explanation list. 🤩 Would it be possible to create a "sensor" in carscanner that calculates the estimated charging power in kW based on "[8C.BMS] Dynamic limit for charging in ampere"? (For 3.X cars that dont have this displayed like 4.X) I guess you would need the charging voltage but maybe you could count with 400?

Have you found out when VAG will remove the SFD2 protection on the Skoda Enyaq, as I have OBDEleven and I can't use it as it is restricted by the sfd2 software protection. OBDEleven have said that they are working with VAG to resolve this issue, as they have lifted somethings from Audi cars from 2024. I was considering adding a 360 camera as in my sportline plus 85x only has rear camera, If it was in the 80x sportline then I could have done it with in the OBDEleven app through coding. Unfortunately this is not possible with SFD2 firewall. Also, THANK YOU for replying to my previous comment on another video, it was regarding the 85x Sportline vs VRS 85x (or the RS in EU) the question of "is there a HARDWARE difference between the 2 cars or software"? You said that their is no hardware difference as it is software that makes the VRS faster in 0-60mph against the Sportline. Thank You for the response as I have asked multiple dealers in the UK and NOBODY was able to answer it, even promises that they will get back to me. Also over the flat spot in the acceleration. As I love how quick the Enyaq is, it always makes me smile. I LOVE cars and I can feel that there is a flat spot within this acceleration even in sport mode. Is there any way that the cars can be safely modified with something similar to how ICE cars can get a remap? I know that you said that you had no experience in this, as well as the throttle controller/commander? Many thanks for all the hard work in each video you put out, ESPECIALLY all the effort in making it in your 1st language and again in English. I do appreciate it.

Will you talk about OBDEleven in another video, if not, why was it put to the side. Sure, for just information it's unnecessarily expensive, but it's a terrific tool.
