Ive cleaned my ps4 several times and tried different thermal paste aswell and it still runs warm. I've never checked the power supply and i believe thats the issue. Thanks for the vid
I have similar case as well. Just applied thermal paste and replaced the thermal pads. But I still have the overheating. Heating starts from the power supply and once it reaches to the harddisk my PS crashes. Did you repair or replace the Power Supply?
So I have a PS4 pro. It's currently on it's 3rd power supply in 7 months. I have opened it and looked at it and I find no bugs, dirt, dust, blown caps, burnt looking spots, absolutely nothing. Can anyone tell me how to keep it from killing itself. I usually keep my ps4 very clean and have never used compressed air. I live in a cheap apartment and the power does brown-out or even black-out completely, very often. Should I buy an outlet protector for it? Or is there something else that is wrong?
Good night, GreAt video, Do you know the reference for that Zener Diode on the bottom of the board , ZD39 , I’m trying for months to have this information
I suffered a power outage and attrmped to use a generator to connect my playstation. It blew up my dvd player and damaged my ps4 slim cause it wouldn't turn on. What are the odds that its a component issue or power supply cause I wanna order a repacement online.
PS4 phat Blue Light Of Death got fixed today. It just needed to replace a new PSU and it worked perfectly again. This BLOD happened after lot of ants came inside my console. When they removed the old PSU, we discovered tons of dead red ants inside. That might the reason why my PSU broke.
My PS4 wont Turn on I change the power cable and buy a new one but wen i put the cable it turn on then it beeps of by itself should i Change the Power Supply
If my powersupply has one of those solder points ripped off,and when I played it, the ps4 shut off and wouldn’t turn on, would it be the power supply or the motherboard
Would depend on where the solder point is pulled off. If its on the main board side, it will need to be repaired. You will need to replace to power supply if you think it might be faulty? If the power supply cable is not making a proper connection where it broke off, it will give you problem if it hasn't been repaired.
@@ConsoleServiceCentre its the brown ones on the model 14-240 P1A i think its a capacitor but now that you mention MOV Im not sure, i heard its the capacitors that usually blow up with a loud bang but fortunately Im not talking from experience on this one, it is on the power supply, but i just wanted to make sure how likely it is for it to have done damage to other parts of the console before i buy i new one...thanks in advance 👍
I have a quick question, I got ps4 pro (CHU - 7116B) and does it match with (CUH-7115) (CUH-7015)(CUH-7215) is it possible to use one of these power supply for my ps4 pro for the (CHU - 7116B)
Take a look at a post I wrote on our website here www.consoleservicecentre.co.za/different-ps4-power-supplies-and-models/ this has all the different power supplies and models.
@@ripper2k252 It sounds like it's the hard drive, see if you can download some software and run a test on it. Or it could be the power supply that fails as soon as the voltage picks up. If you in South Africa, you can pop in to our shop and we can do a test on your hard drive for free.
@@ripper2k252 It's a tough one, try go into the safe mode, then select rebuild data base. Just don't select any other option, or the PS4 will format itself, and you will loose everything.
Can someome help i was playing my ps4 and i smelt a weire hot plastic smell and i turned my ps4 off then realised some smoke coming out of the back then i realised the whole power cord was melted and it had melted the inlet aswell so can anyone tell me which parts i need to buy
Hey sir my console turns off by itself cause of high temperature .. i just cleaned everything but i didn't replace the thermal paste it was dried and my fan was rotating smoothly when I spin and it is clean too ... but when I turn on the console the fan doesn't spins ... and the console turns off in seconds .. if i replace the thermal paste does the fan works! or something else??
I'm pretty sure the PS4 has a failsafe if it detects faults in the system itself (such as dried thermal paste) also try not to spin the fan, you can wear it out and cause it to be less effective for cooling your system
My ps4 pro makes a sizzling sound where the power supply is, should I worry or nah? I wanna fix it but the new ps5 comes out so I reckon it can last me till then, i dont know what to do
You will need to see if there is maybe something in the power supply itself, just be careful, they can give you a shock and make sure you have plugged it out from the wall. The capacitors do keep charge for a long time, so if you don't feel like getting shocked, be very carful
I have a buzzing sound coming from my ps4 in the AC port .. there is like a bzzzzzz electric sound it comes here and it goes... Is it a danger to my ps4 pro or no?
When i turn my ps4 on everything is normal but then after a minute or so in the menu or in a game the screen starts to buffer and the screen turns off but the ps4 stays on and the controller turns off aswell and then the ps4 just shuts off
Try booting in the safe mode menu, then select rebuild database, if that doesn't work, then try another hard drive. If that still doesn't work, it could be the south bridge chip that's faulty.

You will need to test the power supply, output voltage to see if it’s just the power supply, I have a video on the channel about on how to test them.

No, the buzzing sound is the voltage running trough the power supply's component and it's totally normal.
