Theory Of A Deadman Gasoline i'd have loved see this Spider-Man in avengers. Honestly, Tom is also a good one, but this one was way way better.

Actually, Peter's parents and their fate played a continuous role throughout the series. Not a main focus, but it was there.

When I saw the first teaser for The Amazing Spider-Man I was angry, because I thought he wouldn't make a better Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire and that it was stupid to make a reboot, but after watching the 2nd and 3rd trailer it totally convinced me to go see this movie. It reminds me very much of the comic. That is something the other Spider-Man didn't do as much as this.

The spider biting him is most likely an accident but the spider is based off of work that his father did, he was trying to learn more about his father. In ultimate spider-man peters dad worked with Eddie Brocks dad to make the venom suit(originally intended to be a way to cure cancer)This is a mix of the ultimate and amazing spider man universes. Lets see how it comes together, if it fails in the box office, hopefully marvel gets the rights back from Sony and they do spider-man right!
I cannot picture anyone else as SpiderMan other than Toby.. He is the only one who suits the role..

In case anyone is wondering, the guy who is interrogating Doctor Connors is David Lowell. The guy that in the comics worked for Oscorp and discovered how to develop super powers via photosynthesis.

This look for Peter Parker is the original comic book style, he wasn't silent and pitiful, he was geeky, like this. :)

My guess is that Peter's dad invented something extremely amazing or discovered something bad that wasn't supposed to be discovered, This knowledge put him and his family in danger and so he left little Peter with Uncle Ben and Aunt May so that his life wouldnt be at risk.
Glad they are keeping him in high school. Didn't like how they rushed him out of it in the last trilogy.

the line "You've found my weakness... It's small knives." then webbing the guy up, somebody understands how his snark works in the comics.
I'm glad they rebooted the series, this looks GREAT! Can't wait for its release ima go watch it!
I favor reboots that are more along the storyline I grew up with, like this one. This storyline seems much closer to the comic books I read than the first Spidey movie. I like the fact that he invented his own web like in the comic books instead of it being a side effect of the spider bite.

the last duo looked like mother and son
and everything was horribly disturbing
from acting to casting (except for James Franco and J.K Simmons's parts)

Tobi Macquire or whatever his name was, will always be the best spiderman...
I liked the first 3 movies, but even I will admit that it needed a reboot. The other actors didn't want to get pigeon-holed into those characters (like Christopher Reed as super-man or william shatner as kirk). They moved on. Now, we can see a darker version of the tale while allowing other actors to get in on the Spider-man frenzy.

Spiderman is supposed to be tiny and slim, he is in shape but when he puts on a shirt he looks skinny, that's why people bullied him in the comics because they couldn't see the real him, he only looked all nerdy like.
Spiderman was also a smartass, a genius for his age, he always jokes around and makes fun of his opponent, that's the real spidey in the comics, and so far this new actor is doing a great job, unlike the Mcguire that only brought down the mood, and acted nerdy even as spiderman.
this gotta be shot with imax cameras, defently is a must watch in imax 3d.
The original movies with Toby Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco were amazing. They will stay with me forever because I grew up with them and they taught me valuable lessons (as Spider-Man should).
But I do have to say that this trailer looks amazing and whilst it's sad that they're rebooting the film series, I am interested in what this untold story will be. As long as it teaches people valuable lessons rather than show off fancy effects, it will succeed as a Spider-Man film.

This does look Extreemly good except its going to be hard to beat Tobey Maguire as he IS Spiderman to Loads of people :D
Curt's transformation is also similar to Amazing, his look is based off of Amazing Spider-Man #6, Gwen was never his girlfriend in Ultimate, she was also very different, borderline punk or emo, We don't know that his father invented the web fluid in this film, and Peter was in High School in the Amazing comics as well. For a very long time.
What is really going to make me laugh is when they reboot it again everyone will be like "nope! because there is no Andrew Garfield"
i agree, although he was always dramatic.. this new spiderman movie looks like mainly action - which would be good from a spidey film
Now I HOPE that the sequel to this movie has the SAME actor that played this spiderman, if there will be one. I hate when Marvel decides to change the actor like they did for Hulk.

I shall also post a couple of parts. Part 1. I very much agree with your thoughts on the first movies and this one. The reboot is a very good choice and I'm glad they did it. The only thing, according to this new trailer, that doesn't fit well with the original series is that Gwen seems to know his secret. She shouldn't. Otherwise, Andrew fits the role like a glove, and I'm really glad to see they've chosen proper humor for Spidey when fighting bad guys.

This movie seems pretty strange, but it looks good.
I disagree completely. I collected Spider-Man comics as a teenager (I'm so old I cant even believe Im typing this), but I enjoyed Mcguire's performance. I think that all 3 Spider-Man movies were just fine. It puzzles me as to why people didn't enjoy the first 3 movies; they were good. This movie does look promising. I'll probably go see it. However, to suggest that TRUE fans hated the first movies is misleading. Never be so arrogant so as to know what true fans appreciate.

But this guy is really good as Spider-Man. He looks just like him, acts just like him, and even has his brooklynish accent (That he's supposed to have but everyone forgets about).

Oh an BTW changing the costume was clearly done to distant this movie from Raimi's. And its not that big a deal seeing how Spider-man changes costumes every other month in the comics. And if you want to talk about little details, Raimi apparently never heard of web-shooters. You know, the DEVICE Peter created and had for 50 YEARS. How come you're not complaining about that?

Besides, the comics later say that his powers weren't an accident, but he was chosen by some ancient spider deity to be given these powers, so... not sure why something relatively more practical would be a problem. Especially since it's pretty clear that whatever he got still wasn't supposed to happen, considering that he's bitten by an irradiated spider in a room that he was never allowed to go into.

This Spiderman is going to be better than Toby. This one is more wisecracking, emotional, better web slinging, and more mystery. best of spiderman. I was kinda hoping that the scorpion or shocker would make an appearance.

In the 90's cartoons they were double agents for the USSR and USA during WWII. The story line had to do with the Red Skull.
What I like about this is that they are going back to the original concept of spiderman with the webbing. its not organic. He created his webs scienticifcally.

Part 3. The first Avengers team must break up first, then when they remake the team, with only Captain and Tony as the original members, Spidey joins up too. That's why he wasn't in the movie and even if they bashed up New York in it, Spidey could've been up in Queens, just getting his powers. The timeline gets a bit iffy, but it can work. For everything to work out smoothly, there should be another solo Spidey movie, and then he can join up the team. Same goes for the Avengers.
I don't know what you said but I'll like it because it's probably about spiderman.

Actually, many sources say that this movie changes Spider-Man's origins. Like he already has some type of bio-engineered cells and an accident only brought the cells out. Something like that.
Corny? He's a kid, he's a shut-in that gets picked on, he has an outlet. Seems normal to me.

Science doesn't blow off steam. You need physical activity of some kind for it, and as skateboarding doesn't require as much in the way of athletic build...
