I learn how to polish holes on rims now ! Now it's time to get to work an polish holes so my rims can shine even better ! Thank Evan for another great video ! Shine on from Guam 🇬🇺
Need some more info on your classes as I’d like to invest in something like that for my business. Where are you located and how do we go about booking up a class? New to the metal polishing industry and would like to accelerate my process with learning. I’ve been watching your videos and book marking them for educational purposes so thank you for all that you do on these videos bro HELL YEAH!!👍 Aside from detailing, thats nothing new to me
Been polishing boxes on dump trucks, get the shine but not the mirror reflection can't figure out what I'm doing wrong on the boxes since i can get pretty much everything else to mirror
Boxes are thinner metal and require more cutting and work. Once the cut is in there they will color out just the same as the rest. You got this. Keep grinding.
Hello Even, a nice gal at Empire Abrasives suggested I reach out to you about some issues I'm having with poilshing. I am a hobby knife maker so my issues are with carbon knife steel, brass, aluminum and wood. My main problem is trying to get a mirror polish on my knife blades. I'm using 8670 steel which I heat treat with my home made forge. I grind the bevels etc and finish grinding with a 400 grit belt. From there on I hand sand 600, 1000 and finally 2000 grit wet sand. I've tried numerous buffs both on my drill press and my bench grinder. I was using green then white compound lastly to try for a mirror finish but never quite getting there. Recently I got some new buffs and some purple and pink compound from Maverick/Combat Abrasives. They claim the purple will get me a mirror finish and it is slightly better than the white compound I was using, but still not a good mirror finish. Do you have any suggestions ??
I do. Text me pictures of the blade after you are done hand sanding at (920)-979-0386 and I will gladly guide you through step by step on the process you should take to get the finish you are looking for.
How would I store my rouge bars? Should I put them in a ziploc type bag or just wrap them in a rag? I only use them for my own vehicle so I'm not constantly polishing. Sometimes they may sit a few months. Just leaving them on a shelf would dry them out I'd imagine.
Hey Evan, I have a question about the dwp polisher , I recently purchased one because of you , I don’t know how to put the buff wheels on it and I don’t know how to set it up for metal polishing , any tips or help ?
@@EvanStegerMetalPolishing hey are you still offering your online classes ? And I just bought your luhmi aggressive cut hand polish and shine !! Can’t wait to use them I’ll send you pictures of the results
If i were to buy one polish to always have at the house. A do it all polish if you will. What polish would you guys recommend? I am leaning towards "Flitz" is this a good call?

Mission impossible with Disc Brakes. I polish wheels drive 10 miles across town and the wheels are black. I love my Disc brakes but hate trying to keep them straight.

If you are using our rouge it will not dry out on a shelf. If you are using another brand you can store it in a ziploc style bag.
@EvanStegerMetalPolishing thanks for the reply. I will be placing an order from you soon

I have a video here on my channel on how to mount a buff on a buffer. Check that out. I think you will find it very helpful.

I would definitely recommend my Time2Shine polish. www.goshineon.com
Is it possible to paint the inside of the holes?
I know plenty that have painted inside the holes. It is very time consuming but can be done.
N I C E , learn a new technique that I wasn’t doing .. thanks
Happy to help. Thank you for watching!
Best in the bussisnessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
There are so many great polishers in the game. I don't feel I am the best but I appreciate the compliment.
When do I know I need to add more compound to the buff?
When you feel it dry out and your line fades.
Evan can you wash the towels or the buffs, or just throw them out?
I typically though them out when they are used up.
What about a rotor that will move the wheel for you?
That may work but I like to be able to control the pace at which the wheel spins
Sadly we have park brakes on our 2nd steer axle😢
Block the rear wheels and release the brakes.
Makes me want to buy a stainless Vulcan 812 wrecker and have ev polish the body
That would be a site to see, and a bit of a challenge. I'm known to be up for a challenge though. Thanks for watching!
what compound are you using to polish the wheels?
Brown and green found on our website www.goshineon.com

I feel this in my soul. I know they help you stop better but I hate polishing with them. Definitely a chore.
What about the Mayberry video
Which one? I may have some content that I can upload if I haven't already. Let me know!
Haven't seen you use a respirator or anything yet bro, I'm concerned for the state of your lungs my guy.
I use my respirator all the time. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I promise my lungs are good.
