So the bracket broke on me!! Too much vibration that weakened the bend and it just snapped and felt off!! I have yet to find a better mounting solution.
This video is very informative. All your videos are priceless. Thank You very much. One question is, did you have to bleed the brakes or just fill up with brake fluid after the install ?
Great Video as always. I’m interested in that attachment you used to suck all the brake fluid from the old reservoir. What is it and where can I purchase one?
SBS Brake System Power Bleeder Kit is what you are looking for. It looks to be on back order until June unfortunately. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/sbs-brake-system-power-bleeder-kit/
I want to get the 30cc brake reservoir for my 2017 r6, but I noticed that the nipple end is on the left side. Will this be a problem? Btw, love your videos! A lot of the parts you installed on this bike, I installed on mine.
The outlet is fixed on this on. You should be able to install the 30cc in the same manner as I did the smaller one and get the same result. Thanks for watching, happy to hear they are helpful - Van
I'm sure you need to bleed the front brake. Did you bleed it? But you made no mention of it. This would prolly work on the rear one too. I'll have to look on my R6. Been wrenching on bikes for 15 yrs. I'm sure I could come up with something. lolol Thank you. Btw. you guys shipped my parts out today. Cant wait to install them. Thanks again. ;)
manchild yeah i was wondering the same thing as i purchased a a new master cylinder as well. do we need to bleed the brakes if we did exactly what van did?
@@rdjdejesus3286 Yes, in this case, as long as no air gets into the master cylinder you are fine. If you do this and the brakes are mushy to gone then u will need to bleed the brakes
I was wondering the same but in my mind you may actually skip the bleeding so long you correctly pinch the oem hose airtight before emptying the reservoir and the upper part of the hose. Once all installed, should be able fill the new reservoir with fluid and squeeze it down to the pinch line. But I would do it in stages, as in pinch a tad below the first and try to squeeze out any air bubble. I just ordered mine and I want do it this way.
As a mechanic, I love how you actually show what we actually deal with on a install, even on easy SH%# like this.
Just got this and put it on my L8 GSXR1K. Fast shipping and great vid. Thanks Brian.
Thank you for the support and I am happy the video was helpful. - Van
I’m planning on doing this to my 18’ R6! Looks very clean! Thanks STG!
You are welcome and thank you for watching! - Van
Throw a set of spiegler brake lines on the there! Wonder how they’ll line up/work with the driven reservoir
They are already on the bike my brother. The lines have no impact on installing the reservoir on the bike. - Van

Sorry to hear that. I have had one of these brackets on my GSXR1000 for a couple of years now without any issue. No street miles, only track. - Van
thats really cool, I love the color and design of it! thank you for making this video. Iv been looking to upgrade my system.

Looks badass. How would a set of spiegler brake lines fit onto the reservoir? Is there an option the uses banjo bolts instead of the spout?

looks really good. Does Driven not make the larger version with a right side exit?
I need this
A great option for sure. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear Awesome thanks 👍
Hate the oem look! Glad there is an option and it looks good to!
What type/ brand spring adjusters are those?
The forks on the R6 are still all stock, no aftermarket adjusters have been added.
