TALES OF THE JEDIIIIIII LETS GO!
Hype
Uh… Guys, it might be a little important you don’t finish this series before watching the end of Clone Wars. There are spoilers for the final season’s last episode in episode 5 of this series. Just wanted to let ya know.
@@ryanblanch2764 They wont watch the last 2 episodes anyways. They know that there will be spoilers
@@ryanblanch2764 watch the video before commenting moron they know
Yay!
17:29 Dooku knows how to fight Yoda/Yaddle because Dooku was Yoda's padawan. Was established in Episode II. Lol
Exactly. He’s had dozens upon dozens of sparring sessions with Yoda over decades, oftentimes proving himself a peer to Yoda’s skill, especially as the years progressed. And now he’s basically fighting an inferior version of him in Yaddle.
I would love to see some shorts depicting Dooku's time as Yoda's padawan.
Yaddle is clearly using Form 3 here. Pretty different from Yoda's Form 4
@@shadytano doesn't matter, yoda obviously taught him how to defend against all forms. Yodas height, speed and skill prepared him for Yaddle easily.

@@mattyice9535 (S)he has brought truth, and you condemn it? The arrogance!
I realize Suraj may not know this but, the va for Yoda in the Clone Wars and Admiral Wullf Yularen(which is the voice that did the clone wars introductions), the legendary Tom Kane, suffered a debilitating stroke in 2020 that affected his speaking, writing and reading abilities that forced him to retire. I understand the voiceovers can be thought of as silly, but they’re some of his best remaining work.
Because they don't appreciate the openings they just talk and laugh over it unfortunately
All respects to TK., but his trans-lantic 1930s news reporter voice does sound a bit silly.
@@TheMrPeteChannel No.
@@andrewcampbell4498 I mean it's only natural, since they can't really appreciate it more than they should if they don't know his background.
@@andrewcampbell4498 that's why they're the normies
Also, the reason why Dooku wears such fancy clothing compared to other Jedi is because he’s a Count and is from one of the richest families in the galaxy. The canon on whether he technically still holds title at this point in time is hazy, but it’s why he’s always so extravagant and able to become *literally* the richest person in the entire galaxy once he leaves the Order and becomes a Count as his primary title
And if someone’s confused on the names because I know some people think his first name is literally Count, but his actual full name is Dooku Serenno
"Dooku Serenno" ... ok this must be on purpose, there's someone trolling every Portuguese speaker with those names
Serenno is the planet. It's not his name.
He’s Count Dooku of Serenno, Count being his title, and Serenno being his homeworld. He does not have a last name as far as we know.
that's one of the reasons he left the order so easily
he was never fully commited to the Order, he never left his old life behind completely
@@tennoyamamoto1800 serenno? why?
I love Dooku's foreshadowing to Order 66 in Episode 3 when he talked about a Jedi being shot down by someone they trust
Oh shit I didn’t catch that! Thank you
@@kingcorpse9588i think it was his idea order 66
Dooku’s arc is so good. They should make another seasons with other Jedi. Ones that aren’t talked about a lot
One with the actual Syfo Dias would be great.
Word is they are making a season 2
Word is they are making a season 2
next season should be called Tales of the Sith and follow palps
@@wolf99000 Who's reporting that? I've seen only speculation from news sites that due to it's reception and popularity that a season 2 is likely, but nothing concrete that has actually confirmed a season 2 is in the works
Dooku is good at fighting Yaddle because Yoda was his master when he was a padawan
Was he Yoda’s padawan the same as Obi Wan to Qui Gon, though? Because technically all the Jedi are Yoda’s padawan since he’s the starter trainer. Anakin didn’t get the starter lessons that the others got. He just got the little stuff from Qui Gon then went to Obi Wan.
That aside, Yaddle fights using Form III (Obi WAN’s form), which is very different to Yoda’s fighting style
And he is simply the better duelist. Only Yoda and later Mace were ever considered his superior or peer respectively.
@@jinxie712 Dooku was taught directly by Yoda. Yoda even specifically refers to him as "my old Padawan" in Attack of the Clones. Yoda teaches all the Younglings before they receive masters.
@@a_fine_edition2746 yes, all of the Jedi were taught directly by Yoda except Anakin. Like I said, he taught the basics to younglings. So they were all his padawan.
8:46 The eyes of dooku in that moment say everything (simillarly at the tree). The sadness, the disappointment, the impotence. Damn man.
It's great that you guys can now watch the rest of The Clone Wars with this show's context, a privilege the rest of us didn't have.
The reason why Mace Windu looks so young during the fist episode in comparison is because he’s only 28, while Dooku is around his late 50’s.
Dooku canonically died at 83 and Anakin is 23 years old during Revenge of the Sith, so he was fucking *old* during Phantom Menace
Dooku is actually older than Palpatine which is kind of weird because he is his apprentice
still weird that with 73 he had no white hair and by 83 he had a full set of white hair
@@davidnobre5660 Did you look closely? He most definitely started growing white hairs

@@TheMrPeteChannel yes they have
Love Yaddle opening the door showing in one last action that the light is stronger and Palps reaction to the light is great he kind of cowers in fear
Just wanted to remind you guys that the reason Dooku is good at fighting Yoda in Ep 2 is that he was Yoda’s Padawan.
Actually the one time Windu DIDN`T follow the rules he got WINDOOD
Others have probably already commented this, but Dooku is his first name, and for a long time he had no surname he himself was aware of. That was due to him being a member of the House of Serenno, which his homeplanet was named after.
Had he known he was actually "Dooku Serenno", "Dooku von Serenno", or "Dooku of Serenno" he would have known his family origins.
Also: Count Dooku was Yoda's apprentice. That is the main reason why he knew how to fight Yoda.
If I recall correctly, Mace Windu was appointed to the Jedi Council at the remarkably young age of 28. That would mean Episode 3 happened around 25 years before Revenge of the Sith. Master Dooku is about 58 years old: twice as old as Windu.
Episode 4 is the best one from this series, sooo gooood. One of top three SW episodes released this year for me.
11:44 What do you mean "Right Chris?", who do I look like? Eric? LOL
I feel bad that you all havent read Darth Plagueis… it completes all narratives and explains all from the depths of despair to the heights of joy… it is essential reading but the audiobook is also phenomenal read by Daniel Davis who played Niles on The Nanny and (fun fact) was one of the voices in the Shakespearean Star Wars Audioplay. Cheers
I read somewhere that Yoda doesn’t really talk like that. It’s to honor his own master. In ESB, Yoda talks in normal syntax quite a bit. Mostly when he gets frustrated with Luke for being impatient when they are waiting to go see Yoda.
The 3 Dooku Episodes did a really good job fleshing out his fall. He wasnt bad at all in the beginnig. But the Problam already began since he came from Royalty and therefor was always a bit arogant he also kept his titles hence him beign a Count. Also his Curved saber hilt was ideal for fencing or Saber to Saber Combat. This fact got him some disttrought from other Jedi since it implies he likes/wants to fight Saber to Saber and not commit to it just beign a tool thats needed only in the most extrem situation.
And in the Episodes he slowly grasped that the Senat was getting more an more Coruppt. That leaders on the wealthy Coroucant dont care what happens in their systems. And that the Jedi Council became more and more a pawn of the Senat. He was a political idealist in the beginning and palpatine saw that as an oppertunity. Thats how he got to manipulate hime further and further till Episode 4. After that he left the Order and created the Speratist Movement. And the Rest is History.
Another very important event that happens during Episode 1 is that Palpatine kills his Master Ego Damask (Darth Plagueis) in his sleep the same night he was titled Supreme Chancellor of the Republic.
I like to think Dooku called Mace "master jedi" at the end because that was when he truly left the order.
20:00 Like one of the greatest ever Prequel shitposts said “Don’t continue to be a pawn of the Jedi Council! Be a pawn of the Dark Side!”
Ep4 is a masterpiece, and puts on stark display something you guys will realize as you finish Clone Wars - this ain't a fun adventure show. This shit gets SO real
Clone Wars followed by Tales of the Jedi 5 + 6 followed by Rebels is going to work out perfectly. Can’t wait to see you experience it all that way!
I love how heavily they used light and dark symbolically in the Sith Lord episode. My favorite example of this was when Yaddle pleaded with Dooku. Yaddle was standing in the light, Palpatine was standing in the dark, and Dooku was standing in the very edge of the light; and the fact that the scene took place at twilight added even more symbolism.
When Windu and Dooku are speaking together on the balcony at the end of Ep.3, you can see what looks like a “Foundation” Time Vault in the background.
Timetraveler Yoda: "Ich bin du."
Grogu: "No. That cant be true. Noooo!"
"Legendary Jedi Karen. She would like to forcefully see the manager." had me genuinely LMAOing. Chris is the best Normie xD
Marketa's deep sigh gets a lot of practice.
11:43 “what do you mean right Chris, who do I look like, Eric?” 🤣🤣🤣
That music score during the Yaddle following Dooku was some of the best and most emotional music I've heard from Star Wars. It was also a slight nod to Blade Runner if you listen closely. The Sith Lord, and the last one of this series, are some of the best stories so far, great writing.
So excited for this and for y’all to finish clone wars so y’all can watch the rest!!! 😊
do they not know Yoda is Dooku's old master? i feel like they bring that up a lot in the clones wars.
Apparently Yoda talks the way he does because his master talked that way and that way of speaking forces the listener to have to listen to their words intently. so he holds onto that tradition out of respect or something like that.
Master Sifo Dyas was a leading member of the Jedi council but was killed about 10 years before Attack of the Clones (in other words around the time of Phantom Menace and episode 4 of Tales).
"Ich bin du, du ich bin" lmfao
Raxus, the planet in TOTJ episode 3, ends up being the capital of the Separatist Alliance
The other one that you are thinking you remember is not actually a member of the Yoda race... But is very similar, Master Evan Piell
3:58 actually he was about to not follow the rules there LOL
Maybe if he had followed them he would still be alive 😂😂
Both before & after Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm many literature pieces such as the book Dooku: Jedi Lost reference his Count status as family ownership. So it would seem that his system & planet he is Count over “Serenno” would be his family last name. Count Dooku of Serenno is how he would be officially addressed.
If you guys want more of dooku’s back story for one of your books clubs you should cover Dooku Jedi Lost it’s a really good audiobook.
I don't know if someone else said it already, but if you have not finished clone wars yet you should not watch tales of the jedi 5 & 6 at all. Heavy spoilers for the finale
shouldnt they stop watching tales and finish clone wars? especialy cause of the last episode of tales?
Actually, they already knew who Sifo Dyas was 😃 he was a Jedi Master. What they were confused about is that they were under the impression that he died before all the cloning on Kamino began. Yoda actually spoke to his corrupted Force Ghost during his spiritual journey arc

Rana, you and I both. I would watch this till the end of time.
I died laughing from the DARK reference
I’m shocked you guys didn’t realize that Dooku knew about Kamino. Personally, I always thought that was heavily implied. He’s the only sith apprentice that spent years in the order so he’d be the only one with access before attack of the clones
This might be a hot take but even though I like the Ahsoka episodes, this whole series should’ve been about Dooku and his story. Or it should of been made into its own short movie because his story was a masterpiece.
Right? I feel like you could remove the Ahsoka episodes and we would lose nothing about her story or how we as an audience feel about her.
@The Normies the fact that the jedi council chose to give Mace windu a seat on the council over dooku shows that they care more about protocol than results. Dooku solved the murder, if they followed protocol like Mace wanted they would have either never found out the truth or it would have gone down the same way.
The sith lord episode. Fucking slaps. It's the most iconic 12 mins
Yeah guys.... the point of the preaquels are that the jedi council are the badies, the only good jedi is Qui Gon and thats why his deth is literaly the duel of the fates, the fate of the republic and anakin and the jedi
Thats not the point at all of the prequels. Lucas has directly talked about this before. Its not that the Jedi Council are the badies, they are good people trying to do the right thing placed into a lose lose situation by an unseen enemy. Placed into the roles of generals and forced to compromise their values.
@@AbsurdFalcon you are right... I mean, even before the lose lose situation and the general roles they were still a institution frozen by rules and regulations doing the will of the Senate instead of acting independently... So not "the baadies" of course. But Them again they had lost their ways even before the clone wars and Palpatine... Qui Gon jinn was the only one still really trying
Also Quigon shares more in common with his Jedi brethren than people give him credit for, he had his disagreements with the council and the senate; however we also saw in Master and Apprentice that he and the council still had mutual respect for one another.
Your talking about the Jedi acting independently but they were independent, they only acted on behalf of the senate when aid was called and it was approved by the council. They had just as much right to deny requests as approved them.
With acting independently, what exactly would you have had them do? Exert their will in situations despite the wishes of the senate and overstep democracy, making them no better than tyrants? What Im saying that acting independently isn't that easy of a solution to the problem at hand because there's so many more factors behind it..... Even though they were already independant.
mace's ego is literally his biggest problem
8:44 Yeah, it was shown in season 5 in the Clone Wars.
1:15 Rana's yawn got me 🥱
17:29 how can you forget that the reason how Dooku was able to fight against Yoda was because Yoda was his teacher. Literally Yoda stated it in Episode 2.
Suraj how can following the rules do anything??? Mace was going to kill Palpatine however Anakin intervened.
Suraj: You do realize when Vader served Palaptine, he has no purpose. Vader has lost everything, the Jedi, his trust in his master, his apprentice and most importantly his wife (The reason he turned to the dark side.) Vader has no other purpose but to serve Palpatine, Palpatine told Vader to use the death of Padme as a gift to live on.
Suraj and Chris: READ THE NOVELIZATION. It’s explained in Ep 3 novel that Dooku hated the arrogance of the Council and join Sidious just so that Dooku will become the new sith and lead the republic in his way.
14:04 Perfect image! 🙏🏽
Yoda is the only one of his species that speaks the way he does, he speaks the way he does as respect for his master
Grogu actually being Yoda would be a cool twist NGL.
Mickey and Rana 23:42
lol.
Are u guys still gonna watch the last two? It has clonewars spoilers I think
13:40 they do… eventually
around 7:50 , the narrator past away that’s why you don’t hear the classic clone wars intros anymore
The council was so self absorbed they didnt even investigate yaddles death…she left the council and than they just didnt care enough. That alone proofes dooku was right. And yet still dooku would have turned on siddious if qui gon was still alive😭 remember „he always held him accountable“. But siddious made sure qui gon was dead.
To not know the connection of Dooku and Sifo-Dyas is to not have watched the Attack of the Clones. Gaaaaaaah damn. 🤦🏽♂️
12:13 Yeah. For a "backwater" planet, a lot of important things DO seem to happen there.
19:04 "Welcome home, master"
if you know, you know
Count Dooku was 30 years older than Mace windu, so he'd be 54 while Mace would be 24.
Dooku is his first name. His full name is Count Dooku Serenno of House Serenno on the planet Serenno.
Talking about why he is used to fighting Yoda, Dooku was Yodas Padawan
20:13 yeah but Dooku had "good morals" as a reason to do it...
Anakin did it for love, selfishly
Dooku is worse cause he ended up doing much worse than what was before, Anakin did it to save one person
Mace sold Dooku out and got the seat on the council. Dooku was the outlier who wanted to make changes to The Jedi Order. He was the one seeing where the winds were blowing and the one who knew things couldn't last this way.
Mace is throughout the prequel trilogy, a fundamentalist who never questions anything until its too late, is wrong about most of his estimations or guesses (he knew that Dooku was a Jedi who would break the rules and who would eventually leave the order...and still in Attack of The Clones couldn't fathom Dooku was the one ordering assassinations).
Some Jedi should be leaders and some should be muscle. Dooku would go on to lead a confederation of planets and an army that would in a way bring about the end of The Republic, while Mace despite being a good field commander is increasingly unable to see the numerous red flags until its far far too late for him, The Jedi, and The Republic.
mace Windu age in rots is 52-53
Dooku age in rots is 82-83
Dooku is 20 years older than Windu
Windu is 27-28 in the episode so Dooku would be 47-48
Umm im confused, if they are 20 years apart why did you say they are 30 years apart in rots
@@haarisakhtar that was a mistake and edited it lol sorry
Rana did a thing!
8:09 Are we the drama? We're not the drama. Maybe we ARE! Are we the villains? We are not the villians.
yalls voice impressions are always so good! lol
“What was Dooku’s first name?” I looked him up on Wookiepedia. I think “Dooku” might have actually been his first name.
After leaving the Jedi Order Dooku returned to his home planet, where assumed the title of Count of House Serreno.
Looking forward to when they can finish this. Practice Makes Perfect is just such a goddamn brilliant call-back. Gave me chills watching it.
Love to see Chris crack and feel for the villain, he’s usually never sympathetic for the villain’s past because he’s seen what they become, especially when it comes to Anakin
Absolutely the best episodes!
When dooku was a Padawan he wanted a specific master since she had sith knowledge and artifacts but she didn’t choose him instead she choose the Jedi he used the name in place of for ordering the clone army
I think Chancellor Palpatine is a sith lord-
*A SITH LORD?*
The scene where Palpatine was like a vampire, irritated by the light is just a simple fact of your pupils contracting quickly because you've been in the dark for so long. But it's such a cool juxtaposition, that it tells Palpatine is so far from the light that even the presence of it irritates him, but Dooku, who hasn't fallen far yet can still bear the light and recognize the power, and Yaddle being the bringer of the light itself. Very cool visual storytelling.
If you’re only in season 5 of the clone wars you won’t be watching the next two episodes yet…right?
Almost every Jedi knows how to fight Yoda he trains a lot of them and they have practice fights. Yoda trained Dooku so he knows how to fight the race
Master Sifo Dyas is quite a central character in Star Wars but hes only mentioned by name... mostly.
the only canon members of Yoda's species (which currently has no known name) we have seen are Yoda, Yaddle, and Grogu.
the Knights of the Old Republic game had another, Master Vandar. While the original game is non-canon now, a remake is in the works and a primary character, Darth Revan, was confirmed canon in the book for The Rise of Skywalker (though only the name has been confirmed). So it is possible that Vandar could become canon again.
The remake has been canceled.
@@TheMrPeteChannel no it wasn't. 2 developers at Aspyr, the company originally in charge of it, were fired which resulted in it being delayed indefinitely. That being said, they made it clear that it wasn't canceled. Recently, development of the game has been given to Saber Interactive. They also recently announced toys of Malak and Bastila that are set to come out next year, and were said to be based off of the remake
20:02 Right! 😂
I just love to imagine a universe where Jedi wear body cams 🤣
Pretty sure the Jedi can mind probe, so every single sentient being in the galaxy wears body cams lmao
ah still ignorant but claiming they know all, like they didn't just question whether or not, Jedis recruit kiddos at a young age nor claiming that anakin just say fuck it and joined the dark side, but yet they shit on the Jedis arrogance/ignorance...
Lookin HOT Rana ! Happy New Year !!
4:00 Exactly!!! 😂
Dooku's first name is Dooku. That's why people call him Dooku.
