What I like about Elvis is that he sang like he absolutely meant every word in the lyric. This is something few singers are able to convey to their audiences. The fact that Elvis didn't write his own songs doesn't really matter. What matters is how he communicated to his audience, and still does today through his recordings.
You don’t measure greatnesses by awards. Proof of someone ‘s success is by the number of people who buy and listen to your music, and attend your concerts. One only has to see how revered and great Elvis still is many decades after his death. I’m a fan of many genres of music but Elvis was in a league of his own.🎤🎼
The more you hear Elvis, the more you appreciate just how talented he was. I've been listening to him for 60+ years and still fall in love with him on every song.
Elvis loved everybody but nobody as much as his Mamma. She was his heart and soul. He was a humble, kind man who gave money to anybody who needed it. God bless him
Elvis had a power in his voice and a passion in his heart for singing that was unmatched. This is yet another powerful performance. People were mesmerized by his presence and performances. Even the Beatles when they met Elvis were in awe of him. Your reaction to this appears that you are in awe of Elvis as you watch and react to these videos.
Because they were so mesmerized by his VOX & charisma on stage, a lot of people didn't notice that all the while Elvis was knocking out his performances, he was conducting the orchestra with his hands & body motions & giving cues to the singers behind him.
This is one of Elvis's greatest live performances. Everyone's focused on Elvis, but the drumming is out of this world. Listen to it in the choruses, just amazing.
Elvis Presley is the best ❤️ Always On My Mind You've Lost That Loving Feeling You'll Never Walk Alone The Next Step Is Love ❤️ Amazing Grace 🥰 Thank You 🙏🤗
I can sit and listen to music all day, I don't feel it the way I do when I listen to Elvis! He literally touches your soul with his passion! To me, His Gospel songs are the best!
Elvis was the biggest and brightest 🌟 ever, EVER will be in this universe. What a performer. He never got his answer WHY HIM? What did God see in him that he failed to see himself? In the end Elvis wld have given it all back (success) just to spend a few more yrs with his Mom. Men's heart can break too. 💔
Elvis could sing the phone book and sound fantastic! Love watching you discover him. I also close my eyes while singing! Please do Peace in the Valley! #peaceandlove
No bright flashing lights, no lip syncing, no distracting dancers. Just a incredibly awesome band with live energy and the King to front such a concert. Way ahead of its time.
Also i remember aloha from Hawaii 1972 satellite concert, what an amazing event in America. I'll always Love Elvis, his spirit, humanity and that amazing voice, his gospel was amazing!
I met Elvis in person when I was 9 years old. I was taking kempo Karate under Ed Parker in the 70's. It was on a Saturday mid afternoon when bunch of guys walked in with Ed Parker and Elvis. I didn't know who he was. My dad looked at me and said Elvis. I remember jet black hair and the gold glasses. Stayed about an hour. I saw Aloha from Hawaii concert and said, hey there's that guy. That was cool
I cried for 3 days when Elvis Died!! I grew up hearing him!! He was the Best!! I'm 76 now & still miss him!! Please play my Elvis Favorite "I'll Remember You"
I was blessed to see and hear him perform this song at what became his very last concert on June 26, 1977. That concert remains the most important event of my life.
You are a lucky one...at the Indy concert. Share if you would some memories. The atmosphere, Intermission, Elvis hits the stage, etc. What was going on in your head? _PEACE
I agree with you!!! And on a personal note, he LOVED those lyrics...he once was lamenting that he hadn't written them himself, he was so moved by their poetic nature....
Another beautiful song from the Aloha from Hawaii show is, I Remember You. It was on the Spinout movie soundtrack. The British album version is California Holiday.
@@garywilson3308 , Oh wow... that was a perfect song to play at that time... I can just imagine it... thanks for sharing that bit of information. This has nothing to do with his songs, but California had been in a several-years-long-drought, and on the day he died a tropical storm named Doreen poured her tears down from the skies like nothing we had ever seen.....
Elvis Presley had a heart of Gold a soul to he had do much emphany within him. He was really concerated of other people s feelings esp the poor a broken hearted one a sick people.
I guess people who are listening Elvis, feel his passion, love and all the pain. This people are heart people who’ll brings light into this grey and cold place. You can not be hateful or racist if you’re listening and feel Elvis.

Elvis, the one and only entertainer that sings with absolute conviction, puts his entire mibd, soul and body and makes any song his very own and totally unforgettable for. No will ever have this type of passion for his fans. God bless Elvis, I can only pray that he can finally relax and know that we will never, ever forget him. The generations to follow will also know how great and fantastic he is. We love you ELVIS. You will ALWAYS BE TRULY MISSED AND FONDLY REMEMBER. YOU ARE TRULY A WONDERFUL, SPECIAL HUMAN BEING. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYONE TO COMPARE TO YOU!!!!!!!
This concert was televized from Hawaii around the world live. The first of its time to do that. I saw Elvis with my mom in Greensboro around the same time in 1972. I was 11 years old.
A great reaction to Elvis...most people dont realize what a tremendous voice he really had...there is always a new generation of Elvis fans coming up every day
Thanks again for an honest reaction! Elvis did EVERYTHING on stage with a genuine passion and love for the music, but also his fans. Looking forward to part 4

But plz watch "suspicious minds" live,or lawdy miss clawdy from 68 come back ... ELVIS..he really was "THE MAN
Because of all the years of bad impersonators and cartoonish imitations of Elvis, a lot of people have forgotten how awesome he actually was.
Todd Hensley , it seems some folks needed a reminder, or to be shown for the first time, why he was so hugely popular.
@@guslakis "Popular" was a lovely quaint understatement
Todd Hensley, You nailed it...
Who else has sold over 1 billion records and counting?
Michael Jackson, right?
Like Johnny Carson said, "If life was fair, Elvis would be alive and the impersonators would be dead!". 😎
Exactly.
Song written by Marty Robbins and sung with so much emotion by Elvis.
I have to ask, about Marty Robbins' I can remember 1 song' ❤
And on the 8th day God created Elvis
Elvis is/was a being of light with a beautiful aura🌟🙏🌟🕺👑💞💞💞💞

You are so right! He sang to everyone of his fans, individually.
The passion Elvis had when he sang is what made Elvis ; Elvis . There isn't a piece of music out there that man couldn't sing !!!
There will never be another Elvis Presley EVER.
I am soooo against Social Media. But how lucky are we that in 2019, we have RUclips and can watch these GREATS!
