@joyeddlemon798 3 bikes. And a load of old ones I got off Facebook for free, for friends to use. But i have to bolt all them back together :/ it's on the list.
Don't listen to anyone with a negative attitude Brian. Those people are sitting on their bottoms doing nothing while you're working away entertaining us.
Personally, I would put the bench along the length of the back to make it less claustrophobic. This would also leave the sides for hooks for longer coats. If you don't want to extend the bench, you could put baskets on either end for umbrellas and such. ;)
No one on here is judging you. You do you and we are just here for the enjoyment. Never waste a moment thinking about what people think. Trust me. You can't make everyone happy. We are grateful for any content you wish to share with us.
Anybody driving a vehicle with "character", and Pascal has "character", will understand entirely the normality of talking to, and reasoning with, the vehicle and giving it a jiggle, fixes all sorts... Utter legends the lot of you, and relatable ones at that
You are one skilled guy. It’s only natural to have times of self doubt especially being yourself in front of thousands of people who all have opinions. You are lovely human and that’s why so many of us watch you daily because you are an inspiration . seeing you do carpentry at home, is great. ✅✅
Love it! To have such a gift to build something from your own plans in your head. Feel good about your many talents & the kindness you show others…lovely gifts!
Saint Pascal I love that he heals himself, he is lucky he found you as his owner. We like your new boot room, you are a clever man and generous with your friends, online and face-to-face.
Brian, you make me smile. I love your philosophy. As I've gotten older I feel very much the same about what others may think. Does it really matter? As long as you're happy and living your life and not deliberately hurting someone, enjoy what you have and what you do. You are an inspiration to a lot of people I'm sure, as you are to me. I can't wait to see what you're up to on your blogs. Like you, I'm generally a positive person. Love your jokes BTW! 😂 Keep up the good work! 😊
It doesn’t matter what people think of something as long as the person that did it is happy with it. Personally, I think it’ll look great when done. And there’s something of personal satisfaction when you have turned nothing into something. Odds of wood lying around or stored. Becomes a boot room/cloak room. That’s a win in my book.
I wouldn’t think about what anyone else thinks Brian, it’s your home not theirs. I think you’re pretty good at what u do and u can turn yourself to pretty much anything. 😊
Miracles, Sainthood ,Bike Affirmations , Wise words,Carpentry ,Walkies in the woods , Bumpy back roads and Coffee …what more can a guy ask for Thanks for taking us 37 along for the ride ❤❤❤❤😊
Hello lovely man 😘. Be proud of what you do it's unique and one of the kind. I think its looks amazing well done you 👍. You have your bike back nice , I love Pascal seems to have a mind of his own it's all about the adventure I say . Nice waking with you your such a lovely man .love you see you again soon 😘😘😘😘.
Brian, I love your positive and uplifting messages on how to live a happy and stress-free life. Hearing your calm voice and lovely Irish lilt is very soothing and it reassures me that everything will, indeed, be well. It’s so nice to find someone who loves the life he’s chosen and doesn’t let little stuff get under his skin (hint: It’s ALL small stuff).
Brian, worry not! What others may think? The work you are doing is for you, not them? And by the way I think it’s a cracking good job you have done there!👍
The whole while you were building I kept thinking "oh I like that", and I like how it's turning out. Of course, I am always partial to unique and handmade vs "cookie cutter". Anyway, for what it's worth, you've done a fine job
Brian your humour is priceless, St. Pascal, it might stick. 😄 Your advice to all of us is excellent. You can’t live your life wondering what other people will think, it certainly might be the RUclips thing in the back of your mind to be putting out a creative video as well. Do what you want to do, not what others might think. I love the boot room, looks totally wonderful, functional and creative, from a Pinterest photo you saw, very well done. Nice to see your best bike is back on the adventure agenda, looks pretty well refurbished for your riding styles.
Hey! Brian!! If I could give my two cents……instead of putting benches across from each other, put an ell on your current bench……I don’t think you’ve realized that if you hang costs above the benches, you won’t really FIT on the bench……but if you leave the right wall free, you can hang coats ,there, first……then above the 7:54 benches……use the ‘bench’ wall spaces for scarves, sweaters, and GUEST coats…….🤷🏼♂️😘
What would you think of leaving the walls as is. Perhaps put a clear sealer on them so they are easy to clean. I like your choice in music, Brian. Remember: Enjoy the journey.
My wife loves what you are doing to the moodroom and would like one for herself! Looking good and having fun at the same time. Good video and good content Brian.
Hurray! You got your bike back. Stephane tells a wonderful story that was on a toile de suoi about two men and a horse and how no matter what they did someone was unhappy; in the end, they concluded the best thing to do was to do what they wanted, since it was impossible to please everyone. Take care of Brian, and you are quite correct, don't concern yourself with what people think, well except me, of course. Your Vlogs are delightful. :) 🧡
"There is no right or wrong way to do something." Thank you for saying that. Lately, influencers' videos start with a trend phrase saying, "You have been doing this wrong... blah, blah, blah. " It's so annoying, haha. Thank you for being a normal person.
The mud room bench is looking great, and while we know St. Pascal is magic and can fix most of his problems, a little jiggle on a rural road definitely helped.
You’ve done a grand job with the boot room Brian 👍👍 It’s going to be a great addition to your home …. Like so many others, I enjoy your choice of music … nice and relaxing , even if there’s no coffee 😉Durban. SA🇿🇦
Is that a sauna next to your boot room (area)? If so, is it any wonder your friends leave their stuff there? I would too! Isn't that some sort of Freudian-thing? People leave stuff so they have an excuse to return. It all looks good to me! When I was a kid my mother made some decorating choice that I didn't care for - and I told her so. In response she told me, "When you grow up and have a house of your own you can decorate it any way you want." And I do! 😃 Thanks again for sharing!

That’s right Brian do your best! You are the boss in your own life that’s all that matters! I think you have a great attitude and that’s a asset in my book. Cheers have a lovely day❤️❤️❤️ oh the bench looks really cool great job👍😎❤️
Such a wise man! Indeed. You are the one who has to live with your creation, and sure you'd modify it to be perfect even if it wasn't. Looks amazing, can't wait to see it, in its full glory! As for the voice, I have it often, especially today! So as you were talking, brought tears to my eyes, it was like you were speaking directly to me. Reason, I've got a job interview next week, I'm terrified, it's France, I live in UK, I don't speak the language, even tho 1/2 French, I've not worked for someone else for 20 years (or in France), nor had an interview for as long. I was honest on application, citing all I have achieved by myself. It's a huge life-changing move, if I get it. I must have done something right, I guess, to get the interview, but that voice of doubt is ringing in my head, "can you do it?" Thank you for your serendipitous reminder, to live life :) You did tickle me with the 3 miracles, yep, def St Pascal!
Good luck with your interview. Sounds like they are definitely interested in you because, as you said, they contacted you after you applied. I wish you the best with the opportunity for new work and the relocation.
I think your doing a lovely job and it's special to you. My husband and I built a similar item because we couldn't find one to fit in the space we had, also the ones we saw for sale were very expensive. You should be proud - we are very pleased with the way ours turned out. 👍
Its coming out great! Perfect area there too. As for the layout, if you'd like a women's opinion, lol i would put the bench on the back wall and put shoe/boot shelves either on one side or both and put hooks for coats above the shoe/boot shelf. You'll have more room and more symmetrical. One bench is all you need, leaves more space to put on your jacket or shoes. I mean how many of you do you think will be using it at one time :) loving your channel just found it the other day!
Gah! vlog 72! I'm losing count, and my mind.
Your mind is a well conditioned wooden trap
How many bikes do you own? I’ve counted four so far.😃
Gah!! I thought it was me & my mind. haha

It's your Life of Brian. "Always look on the bright side of life". And don't give a hoop about what all of us viewers think.
You are a very good carpenter and that space is going to be very useful! ❤
My mom would always say: "don't worry about what other people say, they don't pay your bills!"
God bless her.
Personally, I would put the bench along the length of the back to make it less claustrophobic. This would also leave the sides for hooks for longer coats. If you don't want to extend the bench, you could put baskets on either end for umbrellas and such. ;)
Or he could put a floor to "ceiling" set of cube shelves. It'll make the hats and gloves a lot more tidy.
Exactly what I was thinking.
It's not your house.
I’m good with whatever Brian wants, but I also like ideas.
I love it, Brian! Very functional, spiffy! Probably doesn’t need a second bench, I love it as is.

Brian doesn’t do thousands, he does 10’s. So he has 30’s now. 😉
Was that Many Guinness Irish music today? 🪁
Brian only has 30 viewers. Ask him yourself if you don't believe me. 🙂

Brian, I believe that everything you do is better than 95% of us viewers could even attempt to do. MacGyver would even give you a thumbs up. 😊
You are doing good. Everyone is going to have an opinion and yours is the only one that matters.
