Low Db in 51 was so freaking amazing!! I love this song so much! Recently learned the trombone 1 part to it! Trombone is a newer instrument that i learned and this song is definitely my favorite to play yet! Excellent work!
Interesting you are playing the initial C's and F's in 6th position instead of using either the F trigger in 1st position or G trigger in flat 3rd. Great sound and smooth as silk. Great job!
@@edsherrod5216 I find the movement to Db and Eb easier if I start out in 6th, though I didn’t put much thought into it (evident by not staying in 6th for the low Db later! 😅) My second trigger is a Gb, so would’ve been a flat second for me. Thanks so much!! 😊
@@skorch98ers Thanks so much! There are a couple of spots that the composer has written the Bass Trombone an octave down from the tenors, but I’ve played everything as it’s written 😊

2:51 - 3:29 Tonguing needs to be much cleaner in the pedal pitch range (which I understand is fairly challenging because you have to massively drop the jaw down to play those lower notes), but solid performance overall! Arabesque was definitely one of my favorite pieces in high school when I played the Euphonium part my junior year and it's great to see how well other musicians play this modern day classic :'D

To be honest with you, I don’t think I could get it any cleaner than what I have already, especially considering the challenge as you’ve pointed out, and the fact that it is supposed to be slurred. That’s why I keep practicing! 😅 It’s such a great piece and I really enjoyed playing it. I’m hoping my band decides to perform it sometime. It would be great to perform it for real!
