My Uncle had a 1955 Big Twin Electric 25 for many years 1958 - 73. I remember him and my Parents, waterskiing behind it, in the mid 60s 1955 was the 1st year for the Aquasonic Silencing System. Just off the top of my Head 35.7 cu in(I think) block 25hp @4000 rpm WOT range 3500-4500 12:21 Gear Ratio 24:1 Gas:Oil In 56, OMC upped the Compression and changed the Port Timing a bit, making it a 30hp rated at 4500rpm I love the Mosquito Control happening 1:03 thru 1:39
It was the Mid 1980s before the later 25's got the Thru-Hub Exhaust. These did have the Exhaust Underwater, but all engines did/do have an Exhaust Idle Relief
