Came from an xp1000 and i love the honda waaaay more. Build quality is way better. And even though you guys says its cramped in the back, i can fit comfortably in the honda but not so much in a xp1000.
Picked up a 22 Talon 2X Live discounted to 18k. Ride tight trails for the most part, X is just right. Really impressed me in an unexpected gnarly hilly rocky section on a trail we were exploring. Only 100 miles on the beast, but I'm loving it so far.
“Fantastic Review of the Honda Talon! Are you aware of any comparison reviews between the 2024 Honda Talon and the 2024 Yamaha YXZ? If not, could you please create one? I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t find any!”
It's for anyone in the South. Single air intake, so it's very easy to snorkel. It has no belt, simply amazing. We run 40" tires with no problem with portals. We literally beat the shit out of ours, and we have sunk them several times/hydro locked. Drained the oil, and removed the plugs, and it's no issue. These things are bulletproof, don't believe me, Google Honda Talon Submarine. :)
Like I've said they need make the r model 72inch wide long travel and make the 2 seater 96 inch long. Make that room in the cab and give us better seats that Tilt to. I like to lean the seat back some like u can do on the pro and x3. give us factory retractable Harnesses. Give 10 gallon tank... for the motor I'd be happy with 120-150hp. And give us the 7th gear like they have in the honda goldwing... give us better screen and more Options like we can choose are Maintenance hours. And give up numbers for are water temp. Instead the 80s bars I want know how hot it is. The big one to Is factory 32inch tires and same size tires and rims all around. And bump the Rev limiter to 9.5 to 10... it sucks on when you it 8.5 it's just getting in to the power band. THE BIGGEST THING GIVE TRUE 4X4 AND GIVE US BOLT IN DRIVE SHAFT.. THAT C-CLIP REALLY SUCKS BAD... THE X MODEL JUST FINE... BUT THAT R MODEL SHOULD BE THE BIG BOY... ID PAY 26 TO 30K FOR BIG DOG
All plus be nice Factory touch screen shows alot stuff And diagnosic if something happens give you the code and says what it is something like ride command... be badass to if they built factor system to jam out Be really nice... Plus beef up the frame..
this "honda reliability" thing is still being touted, yet i really dont see anything besides polaris and lesser known brands being any less reliable when looked at as a whole. japanese cars, motorcycles, atvs etc are all made well... for the most part. everyone makes lemons occasionally. in the dirt bike world the yamaha 4 strokes are very widely regarded as the most reliable and have had the rep since the start of modern 4 stroke mx bikes 20 + years ago, yet i wouldnt be afraid to buy nearly any other manufacturer's bikes. im not foolish enough to think that every single honda or yamaha will outlast every other model from other brands. it's almost becoming a urban legend.. yeah, maybe 40 years ago honda may have had a edge, but i feel all the japanese, especially yamaha, have been there from the start. not reading replies as im not looking for arguments
Ya I was thinking the same thing Honda makes what 106 that's not bad Iam a Honda guy always have been Polaris is junk literally there parts are junk @@MrNismopro
Honda live valve in 2019 first time in industry? Polaris had dynamic suspension a year or two before that which is a better system than the Honda live valve. You should research before you make statements like that.
Can't get away from the transmission problem they have had , have they fixed this for 2023 ???? Lots of 20 , 21 models for sale , was this the bad trans years And a honda vent windshield, 800 bucks , wth , one was at the dealership and the trim was comming off
There has never been an issue with the transmission. The sub-trans which is what you're referring to mainly had a user error problem. They did update some of the parts in the sub-trans. It's not enough of an issue to worry about. Most of the people who tear up there sub-trans are Eastern rock crawlers slamming back and forth between low and reverse.
Ya got to find it humorous when something is great, then the “new thing” comes out, and now the thing that was once great has been relegated to the 💩 pile.

For $100 Hess makes a locker that simply plugs in. Works amazing..
Add a turbo and aftermarket gps and still save $10k

Do you have to regear when upgrading tire size?
Yes we run 90 gear reduction with portals
I wish they would make a 60 inch version
$30,000 (CAD) is pretty steep, but compared to the other brands, I guess that’s pretty good in 2024
I have the 2021 talon 1000-4x and I love it none live valve
I’m lazy so can I get one with a remote control? I can sit in a deer stand and drink beer running my Honda in the field while no deer out there
can you put the new steering rack on a older r model?
You can get an SATV unit that is better than the rack on the pre-23 units.

The "Honda reliability" is the geared transmission vs a rubber band. Not that complicated.
Any more I believe that is true with all manufacturers your more expensive machines come with more options and more more stuff to break
@@allfiveandthedog5343my pro xp makes nearly 3x the power a Honda makes and I’ve never had belt problems. Cope harder.

Zero issues with Talon transmissions.
Honda will never change the engine and transmission look at the honda Si
