Great list! Thanks for sharing! I write the Month/Year on each HVAC filter when I install them. Then, I check the date on each filter around the first of each month. Well, most months I do. :-) Then, I change them as needed, as you mentioned.
Great point. I would also add to put Simix or an enzyme-based product in the p-traps and garbage disposals weekly for my weekly to mitigate the bacteria that's breaking down in the drains and off gassing back into the house.
Great tips! Those dust mite carcasses are a menace. What would be the best way to get cooking emissions out most effectively in a kitchen with no oven vent? Open windows is okay, but positioning a fan --would that help?
Awesome advice couldn't help but laugh at the Cheech and Chong comment. I also grew up with smokers my mom had the little bean bag ashtray on the dashboard with her Benson and hedges and her click lighter with the windows rolled up and the AC blasting All summer Long.
How are HVAC ducts properly cleaned? If the consumer is not educated what the technicians are supposed to to clean the ducts, the consumer does not know it is being done right.
Many companies will show pictures of before and after. Just make sure they are pictures of your ductwork and not someone else's. We have seen where other companies have used other people's pictures and not done a good job on their ducts. Hopefully checking reviews and calling past customers of other companies can help you find the right company as well. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps.
1. Dust Mite pillow cover & mattress too
2. Wash binkies & plush toys 180°
3. Change your air filter regularly
4. Clean ducts
5. Smoker completely outside
6. Plant lovers don’t overwater
7. Control humidity
8. Get home tested radon, mold, VOC’s
9. Don’t use harmful chemicals / bleach
Use peroxide instead
10. Indoor air purifier with ionizer
Thanks for watching!

Same here. I would rather have the date installed written on it than when to change it out.

Great info. I think air sealing may need to be wedged in there somewhere.

where is the Radon coming from??
Usually right on comes from soil or material in the soil that off gas is radon. In some cases there's radon in water too.
@@CrawlSpaceNinja damn! how do you avoid that out there if its in the soil and water??
