I'm working on my mom's crawlspace, we live in Central Indiana. Her crawlspace is super wet, the whole neighborhood is on septic. So the ground is always saturated. It has a perimeter trench and sump with pea gravel. I know you are an aprilaire dealer but she only has a 1000sqft x 35" to seal plate crawl.. it's very musty smelling. Almost done with replacing all of the uninsullated sweaty ducts with R8 flex ducts then I will get the dehu to dry it out and clean everything up a bit before I do the vapor barrier and sealing. What size should I get ? Not seeing anything near the sq ft in an aprilaire but there are 1300 sqft Alorair units on Amazon. Are those any good? Or would it be best to overkill with a e70?

Great Question, C-doGG H - The size of a dehumidifier is crucial for its efficiency and effectiveness. A dehumidifier that is too big for the room will either reduce electricity consumption and noise or cause excessive dryness. The duration of operation, target humidity, and automaticity of the unit will determine this. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and we hope you have a happy and blessed day!
