    Allergy issues aside, I would like to see an air quality monitor/VOC meter used in a plant nursery. The recent claim is plants don't clean the air well but I suspect in a small room with 100 plants, your meter is going to show lower VOCs than other rooms of the same construction.

    Isn’t there a smartphone app for Indoor Air Quality, from like 0.001 to basically severe pollution >500 or whatever. As well as magnifying lenses via another app for pics to see ie., dust mites Fleas and other things that could be very harmful to people and pets? It’s August 2023 and technology is supposedly fantastic but the many manufacturers are getting much better basically each day. And it can be expensive.????? If anyone knows what it is called and and how to find and use it without spending too much money etc. Let me know if there’s really such a thing and the MSRP $$ etc.
    Please let me know. Thanks

    Looks accurate for PM2.5 not sure how accurate it is for PM1.0. It is the ultrafine particles that do the most harm. I think to accurately measure these fine particles you would need very sophisticated equipment costing 4 figure sums 🙈

    Buyer beware. If you order 3 of these things each one will tell you something different. The first one told me my air was dangerous. Second one said it was perfect. Third one said right in the middle. All sitting next to each other. I'm not the only one if you do some digging it's a known issue. If you have no verifiable baseline reading you have no idea if this thing is accurate. It's a very dangerous to assume it is correct if it reads low, and very expensive if a false high reading gets you tearing your house apart and trying to solve a problem that isn't there. Definitely not a proven device without something to compare results to.

    • @electronicsNmore

      I have the TemTop m2000 and it is awesome, a bit more money but when it is a matter of life or death - I think we may need to spend a little more to not get a fake LOL. I see so many fake meters with only one sensor inside to give 6 or 7 different readings and that is just not possible, so many people are buying them thinking that the information is keeping them safe while all along the information is faked by mathematical equations performed by a micro-processor instead of genuine sensors. Hope this helps. You may also want to look at the TemTop M10 - it is a bit less expensive and is still up to the TemTop high standards of quality. I am getting ready to create a video about fake and legitimate meters and am looking forward to hopefully saving someones life from buying a fake meter.

    The only drawback to this chinese-made, noname gizmo is the fact that it doesn't measure what it says it does. The formaldehyde measurement is calculated to be approx 1/7 of the TVOC and the temperature sensor on this thing constantly reads way off. You can get better and cheaper machines that will measure TVOC for you much more reliably, and should you want one that can do HCOH and particulates as well, just be prepared to invest a lot more.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  3 года назад

      Particle measurements are based on the fact that when a particle passes through a beam of light, some of the light is scattered. The detection of scattered light caused by the particle in the air is recorded on the photo or light detector sensor plate. Unfortunately I may not explain everything perfectly in my over 600 videos. How come you have a habit of being a pedant on my channel? Just curious. You're the only one that stands out.

    I have a good filter but dust still goes around. I dont get it. and cant clean the ducts since they are soft. hmmm and another testor i have works with smart phone which oddly takes a while to give reading. Calibrations for all these can be inacurate since an outdoor place in one place does not mean as clean as another. Maybe calibrate infront of a air filter. LOL

      Hi Carmelo. No, ozone meters are more costly as you can see below. To get an accurate particulate count, need to test each room, and allow the tester to sit for 15 minutes. Thanks for watching!

    I have an earlier version of the meter and I tested the air on New Year and I was getting 200 to 400 on the PM2.5. Usually the air is around 10. Air with that much particulates is considered hazardous. That is why so many people end up in the emergency room on New Year.

      Not every time, unless you leave it in an atmosphere with lots of vocs. Make sure you calibrate outdoors in very clean air. People spay painting, cutting grass, being close to a busy road, all no good.

If I don't go outside the reading will be hcho: 0.030 tvoc: 0.100. It does not make sense . The device seems to be calibrating all the time looking for the cleanest sample. If these high readings are correct, that's not good.

      @@electronicsNmore I have had the house tested by a number of home inspectors proving that it’s loaded with fiberglass insulation and I’ve had Industrial air purifiers to take
      Most of it out but it’s still in all the furniture, on me and my clothes and in the air outside because of storm sandy in 2012. My problem is I can’t get anyone to believe that fiberglass is dangerous when it’s airborne and after researching for six years, it’s airborne everywhere and becomes airborne from our landfills all over the country, probably in the world. I can’t even find food without Fiberglass in it which is causing me to have colitis now. It’s been covered up just like asbestos was only it’s more dangerous because it affects more than the Lungs. What do you suggest when you find fiberglass in someone’s house? The EPA won’t help because it’s a residence. Thanks for any info you can give me, it is starting to affect my breathing now and I am frightened.
