Kind of late to the party, but also make sure you check if the variety is rootable. Some are easily rootable, some are difficult, some are impossible (usually white mulberry varieties) and require grafting.
I pruned some massive pieces of my pear tree and left all the cuttings cut side down in my koi pond where the water was flowing out and they've all started growing new foliage and growing roots and I planted some of them and they all established
That was the first thing that popped into my head... "I wonder how he started each cutting?" I'm also wondering why he is not Air Layering. I understand that with an Air Layer you use the whole limb, so you end up with one tree. But that one tree is would be much further along.
I love it. Do you water every day, if so, how much do you water the potted cuttings? Also, do you start them indoors or just keep them outside? Thanks.
I used water soluble fertilizer 20-20-20 with trace minerals diluted to 2.0EC to water the cuttings . (my soil mix was sterile coco coir and perlite that had no fertilizer in it ) is that OK or will it cause rot due to too much Nitrogen?
Some white mulberry is right next to my big berried black mulberry…..will the white mulberry mess with the black fruit? Does it effect JUST the fruit and will it go back to black after i remove the white mulberry!!!!/?
I hope you see this post. What kind of mulberry tree is that at the beginning of your video with the very large leaves? I have the same thing and I'm having trouble identifying it. Thank you so much
tar makes a bad seal, under the tar the tree rots inside because of the lack of air... their is a powder that works much better.. it is the 21st century after all... I think this is a university of Michigan quote

Just cut it, stick it in soil, keep it out the Sun and keep it moist and they will root. They are super easy.

It depends on the plant. I think mulberries are better if bigger, but not all trees are better if bigger.
