Usually Fuji gear gets price-wise compared to entry level gear in other brands. Right now all the Fuji lineup goes from mid-level (prosumer) to pro level or the medium format. If you compare apples to apples, Fuji is really less expensive, given that you are getting the top level lenses and maybe bodies.
And also with GFX some prices in lenses and cameras will be in the same ball park as flagship Canon, Sony and Nikon cameras... but you would be shooting on a larger sensor.
So maybe a mistake to compare the Fuji line up to entry level in other brands.

Good morning, Mitch! For photography, do you prefer the Sony A7IV or the XT5? I'm torn between these two cameras. I really like Fujifilm's "film simulations". If the Sony A7IV had something similar, I wouldn't even think twice: I would buy the A7IV right away!

Between those I’d probably get the XT5. I don’t think I’d get another 7IV because they just aren’t that reliable. Don’t buy the Fuji just for the film simulations - trust me - it seems like a good idea to shoot sooc (albeit with ‘recipes’ made by a person who hasn’t even shot half the films he is emulating) but ultimately the whole point of digital is to be able to have more flexibility in post - otherwise just shoot film. Hope you enjoy it if you do end up pulling the trigger!
