I would take the plaid due to the space, technology and the insane speed that it has for a stock car. That turbo S is undoubtably impressive; however, it's modified yet it still struggled to beat the plaid which is stock.

I think its incredible how the plaid comes with an 8 year 150,000 mile warranty on their 1000hp drivetrain, definitely important if you use it for a daily.

I used to daily a highly modified gas car and they are terrible daily drivers. Loud, gas fumes, vibrations, and no air conditioning because the spacing for the ac compressor was taken up by a giant turbo. 😂

And the amazing thing is it's like a supercar which can eat up every Lambo (idk about revuelto) and almost all Ferraris except the SF90 or maybe the 296 GTB as well. With that it got like 205 mph top speed and also u can drive it daily in the city like a sedan or something.
I really enjoy watching that Turbo run. It's such a great looking car. The wheels, the stance, the satin finish. So clean.

The tesla model s plaid was 160k last year and now 85k. Model 3 is 20k. Biggest cost of owning a tesla is depreciation. Every average joe in the world has one now, its over saturated. Talk about depreciating assets at a historic rate. People don't realize a car thats depreciating that bad is not a good thing. What will it cost 3 years from now?
Thing is, teslas aren't a head turner like bmw merc,porsche,etc... The model 3 and model y head lights are so ugly. They look like mall cop cars 😂The model X looks like a mini van. The model s has a decent front end but the boxy rear and out dated tail lights ruin the enitre sleek design. All in all no head turning sound and they look dull and boring inside out.
Teslas dont look mean or aggresive at all. Thats what makes fast cars cool. They look like traffic 😂 and the interior is a single ipad with a steering wheel and plastic parts. BMW and merc offer carbon fiber, really good quality buttons that feel good to click, luxury or carbon bucket racing seats, and race like steering wheels that have a very nice materials and feel great.
Teslas don't feel like ur in a sports car or a luxury car. It's just blah. U talk about price and thats just it. Its a poor mans fast car 😂 u sacrifice looks,interior, and a unique dope engine experience.
@@user-my4xu4gf1z The Porsche is definitely more of a collectors car. However the 911 Turbo S depreciation in the first 5 years is over $125k plus another $100k in out of pocket expenses. Two very different cars but I appreciate both for different reasons. The Lucid looks like a great car as well but they just released the first 5 at the deliver event last month. Ultimately I think the competition is good for the consumer.

You should be impress that a "too heavy car is as Fast as it is" It wasnt designed to be a Sports car its a sedan beating Sports and Hypercars. Imagine what the Roadster will do. a acutal sports car with the plaid setup.

Lol I have a model 3 performance. And it shocks everyone who gets in. I rented a plaid for a vacation trip. My car never felt the same again. The Plaids are so incredibly fun and fast. The sound system is pretty epic too.

The Plaid's time seemed a little slow for a Plaid and maybe it wasn't in dragstrip mode and/or cheetah wasn't engaged. But at a 9.38 for the Porsche is fast!
That same Porsche beat it with a good launch some time ago. 2for the plaid, one for the 911..

The wheel and tire setup on that plaid was more for looks and not ideal for the strip but yeah 👍

@@Matt.e_Black ahh yeah that's also going to have some impact, I can tell you from experience with my plaid and the same 21s and probably tires, ps4s maybe, it does better with a thicker sidewall tire on a smaller wheel, it's not huge in terms of time but you can get a tenth or even 2 tenths from just going to an even lighter 20" or even a 19" with more tire on it 😉

Why was the Plaid's trap speed so low? It typically breaks 150. Was it at a low state of charge?

Def low soc and aftermarket 21s people don’t realize just because a wheel is lighter that it’s not better on these cars . They are super picky on diameter.

Well i think money is not a problem for them who can afford new porsches😃 and i still prefer real engines over any evs even if they are slower in straight line. The feeling and driving experience is what matters most👍🏼😎

The 911 was in Sport Plus mode with the wing and splitter deployed in the first race, slowing it down at high speeds. Probably made the difference from 9.6 to 9.4 in the second race.
If Hercules would chill out with the weights, he might have won that first race.

@@AJUSA1 nope, my 21s are lighter than the factory 19s. My Plaid has 30k miles and normally runs 9.4s around 147/148. My Dragy had those strap speeds in these runs; the right lane at BMP doesn’t trap correctly

May be lighter, but the larger diameter might hurt the ET given the impact that effectively higher gearing has, though the trap will remain the same.

Got the Plaid last week. $86 base price now makes it a no brainer. $93-96 optioned out. Yoke and no stocks took a week to get used to. Best screams I’ve ever heard have been from this car!

@@user-my4xu4gf1z I've seen the $250k Lucid, it's early Model S build quality. Not bad, but modern refreshed Model S interior today is relatively better, and my preferred choice.
I guess you didn't see them side by side, I did, it's not even close.
Lucid has a few nice features that might distract from the build issues though, but it falls flat when it comes to software, very behind.
And in the vein of what you said, no amount of fan-boying is going to fix the fact that Lucid loses ~$330k per car right now.
So hey, if you can get it for $250, that's a great deal on what should be a $600k car for them to survive, quite a problem to service it when the company goes under though.
Nothing against Lucid the company per se, just the facts are what they are on the balance sheets.

Probably both. 21s on my stock compared to stock 19s were usually about a .1 sec difference. Tires play a role too obviously
