They run low-mid 10's stock so probably not. Good weather and track conditions? Lambo's are always slower than Ferrari, Mclaren and Porsche

This race went exactly how it should. The Porsche is one of the most reliable and consistent cars there is for this type of race and its figures are well known and were even stated before the race started lol.

Porsche's launch control is insane and paired with the PDK transmission makes it a tough opponent.
Plaid's launch and traction control are the best. No transmission and no shifting to slow it down ⚡️🇺🇸

So too the Lambo..BUT..that torque, that gobsmacking twin turbo torque, as the N/A V12 is revving and bulding up, the 911 Turbo is already there, i think this is the difference.That said I think Porsche well underquote power and torque, if they say 650hp, more like 700 or more, same goes for whatever torque figure is.

There's no reason to suspect that the Turbo is tuned. Those times have been done on other channels on non prepped surfaces. But your technica is still gorgeous Brooks!!
Why is 60-130 better tho?
Awd and the trans are so quick. I have same color and speck. Im in Midwest its cold now and car is even quicker. 🍻

Turbo, S is the only car that is ever given me a slight sensation of tunnel vision, where my ion at the periphery of my retina is turning black. And I’ve driven most of the Lamborghinis and I own a Corvette. But the turbo S is a different sensation.

@@Smzxe carwow multiple races from the dig and the turbo s beat the 720s every single time, it's just rwd vs awd traction, you can try to get a good launch, but you'll never ever ever get even close to launching as good as awd, unless you're on a prepped strip and drag radials. What you mentioned, probably the turbo s got out front in the beginning cause of the awd ,and the 720s caught it at the end, you cant beat the launch on the turbo s ,and carwow did it on the dry,not in the wet
Crazy, that Turbo S runs 10.2 on the strip and can run the same thing on the road! Just goes to show how good of a street/daily car it is

(I've also seen it beat a 800- 900 hp Turbo S despite a power too weight disadvantage)
Also, the Plaid is a 90,000-130,000 sedan, the 911 is a 180,000+ supercar, while the Rimac is a 2,000,000 Hypercar with about double the Plaid's power to weight ratio, so clearly it makes more sense to compare the Plaid with the Turbo S.
@@cubozoan9448 Lol i don't know where your numbers come from, but Plaid puts almost 1080whp down, so no, its not 'just' 10% better. Plaid also has instant torque and better aerodynamics. Tons of advantages to beat a 911 Turbo in a straight line.
A 800hp Turbo S still has a worse power to ratio than a Plaid and is only half a carlength behind it. So, nice try, but the 911 performs better for what it is. Especially for being Ice, coming from a Teslaowner.
You can quite literally hear the Turbo S get into its power sooner than the Tecnica. You'll need a much longer strip for the Tecnica's top end to make a difference.
Even at a half mile the Porsche would win since it’s so far ahead at the quarter mile. A mile race might bring them even.

For rear wheel drive, the Tecnica is very fast. Top end run, the Tecnica will be faster. My friend and I did a test, in his 992 turbo, and my Tecnica. Very competitive .

That is because of the 992 Turbo S' AWD and torque advantage. But do realize that a McLaren 600LT will beat the 992 Turbo S at higher speed acceleration...100 - 200 kph, for example? And the 600LT is older and has less hp.

It wasn’t running slow, those times you quoted were pretty much ideal conditions. Car and driver tested them at those times with a 4mph higher trap speed for both.
So while it’s possible, you can’t expect ideal every time, even if the cars are extremely consistent and can manage to set those times. Just the way the world works

My factory 992 Turbo S does 10.1 all day! I did literally 6 of them in a row.
Porsches consistency is amazing
Put it on the dyno, if you dare.... No way it runs 10.1 seconds with only 650 horsepower (550 whp since it is AWD and has increased drivetrain losses). The Turbo S 992 is definitely making more power than claimed to output.

@@Seventh7Art Hey brother, Porsche, as with many manufacturers, underrate HP. Porsche are known to release figures based on worse case scenario (averages). Many other manufacturers often release best case scenario figures. That factory rated 640hp and/or 1/4 mile & 0-60 times was more than likely what they noted while testing in the heat of South Africa.
Note, the Turbo S in this video was cutting ~1.48 '60 times...track surface was really good and thus it was not short shifting into 2nd and/or killing his '330. That same car on that day and track with a tune and exhaust would have ran 9.50's. Ask me how I know😊 😊
The current Turbo S is my favorite production car available! The Turbo S's stock exhaust is anemic. The Plaid is a quicker and straight-line bargain.

Not that it matters because that plaid is leaving the Porsche up until maybe 190 mph, and you're never going 190 unless ur on the autobahn

They definitely have fallen behind the speed category compared to its competition. Porsche and Ferrari has easily passed them in speed. Even the Vette has caught up with them.

Turbo S can do 10.3s on unprepared track all day so i am pretty sure it was stock. It can also do 100-200 kmh in 5.9s. Watch carwow or AutotopNL and you will see.

Yeah, I own both and the big P is just at another level, performance wise. The big P is a bit boring in its own way because it’s just about perfect. No drama! If it wasn’t for my aftermarket exhaust on my big P, it would truly be super boring. I enjoy it because it just blends in. The Lamborghini is just nucking futz😂. The sound - oh what glorious music! I love em both but for different reasons…

I love the Huracan but Lambo really need to step up with the engines. A NA is from 2 generations ago (then Turbo then Hybrid). Basically the Huracan has had 640 hp for the past 10 years.

It’s crazy how the 992 Turbo S was announced over 3 years ago. I remember watching the announcement vid, back in a college lecture, right before Covid lockdown.
I get how the turbo s got out front to 330 or 1/8, but shocking to see it still pulling slightly on the back 1/8. It has to be modded or is underated on hp. Maybe its more like 700? Maybe its just that the turbo S shifts are quicker - just enough to carry it through the gears to a gap.
Traction+torque+PDK is the difference I think.
The Lambo is probably down a bit on torque off the line. Hard to compete with a good turbo car.

C8Z06 has a great launch and 0-60 but just not enough to keep it going, it's trap speed is on the lower side but its ET is pretty quick. Should be pretty close. Love the new Z06's btw.
Both cars are pretty neck n neck but the huracan being around 250lbs lighter edges out the c8 z. According to reviewers though both cars trap around the same, mid 10s, low 130s

mine is tuned and runs a 9.6. ran 10 flat when it was stock in the perfect conditions. it could run 10.1 and 10.2 all day long bone stock
Americans hate Porsches so much because they cant catch them after so many decades lol. If they beat a 911 in straights in a cat with way much hp, the 911 beats you on tracks. Totally normal behaviour, frustration because someone just does it way better.

10.3 is standard for the 992 Turbo S, on that surface it should be also around 10.2 with normal temperaures and quality fuel. (biofuel under 20%). Hard tuned 911 Turbo are in the mid 8 sec range - stock engie but large turbos, a stage 1 tuning for a 992 Turbo is currently 900 hp, offered by many tuner with full warranty wich delivers a 9.9-10.0 drag time.

Great races , great numbers for both. Don’t be upset Brooks , some cars are just faster than others. Like my old 2008 I bought brand new and bone stock Lexus IS F that you thought was the quickest stock ever … I ran 12.5 at over 117 mph and the thing was a beast.
Brooks it's not a big deal you own a SF90 just bring it and race the Turbo S and it will feel like this things it's not even moving , RIP Turbo s 😆! Joke of course we all know that they are not in the same league! But those Turbo S are really fast and consistent with their lunch! To be honest I'm still thinking that for the last V10 of Lambo they are still slow against today's competition but in general all cars that are faster are more expensive so it's makes sense! what do you think?
