Thank you so much. You made this look so easy because I thought they were really complicated to make. You have given me the confidence to make one for a friend's grandson.
I get so nervous about making a hooded towel and then I remember your AMAZING tutorial! Like others have said, I have confidence now to get the towel done. Because I don't make towels often, I watch your video prior to starting each time. It's refreshing to me each time!! Thank you for taking the time to make this & give us all the confidence we need!!
Thank you :) Made it very clear for those of us who learn visually. Think my grandson and great grandson will be needing one of these...lol maybe the older girls too. Can never have too many towels in the house when you have wee ones!
I loved this tutorial it was very informative, thank you for that! I wish you would have shown how you did the applique/embroidery but perhaps you have already made a tutorial for that which I will look forward to seeing! Again, thank you so much this was a great tutorial
wonderful, I'm a show me state girl (Missouri) and just could not get the hang of how, when & what to do. Really appreciate the tutorial. Thanks so much Nancy
I love how easy it was to follow your tutorial…my only question is, what size is the hooded towel once it’s cut in half? Do u use the same size for toddlers and bigger kids? TIA
It looks really lovely. Do you cover the reverse side of the embroidery? Would you recommend smaller bath towels for babies? I could just cut a big size towel in two?
Thank you for such an easy tutorial to follow. It doesn't seem so scary now. I do have a question about the hoop you are using for the pr655. What is it? I've never seen how you've bulldog clipped the towel to the hoop before. Granted I'm new to the embroidery world :)
I have just found your fantatsic you tube channel 💗 I love the reindeer design for the hooded towel. I have had a look on your Etsy page but could not find it. Is it no longer available? Thanks
Great tutorial! This gives me a towel perfect sized for my 7 year old. What would be different to a make one to fit my 2 year old. She is smaller and I just wanted to make one to fit her petite size. Thanks!
EXCELLENT tutorial!!! I have been hesitant to even try one of these but after watching your video, I think I can! My question: Did you use regular cotton fabric for the applique? I've seen some that called for felt but it seems that would be more difficult to work with. TIA :).
Thanks for making this very simple. I noticed you have what appears as a laser to know your needle position? Was this an add-on to your machine? I have a Babylock BMP8 and considered purchasing a laser.
I have one add on to the video. I found certain designs didn’t fit as well on a hand towel cut in half, so I’ve begun sewing those on the whole towel, then trimming when finished.
It would be a lot softer if you used another piece of towel inside the hood so the child is not getting scratched by the inside applique stuff or the rough seams. You can do that if you use the whole hand towel instead. Just have to fold it differently. Especially important if its for a small sensitive baby.
Good tutorial. Only thing is, it would be better to use ONE handtowel. Fold it in half after embroidery and sew it together so it will be lined and not have the scratchy embroidery against the head.
Can someone please tell me what size bath towels I would need to buy to make hooded towels for children, teens, and adults? Are they only one size? How much of the hand towels would I need to use to make the "hood" part in towels for children, teens, and adults? Thank you.
Hi, Thank you so much for your tutorial. I only have the normal frames that came with my Brother PR, please can you tell me what are you using. Is it a hoop tech frame? I have googled and have only come up with this option but it costs $628. here in Australia. Many thanks for your time
I'd be careful with mixing colours... Towels are so heavily dyed and notorious for staining other fabrics and transferring coloured fluff! Lovely end product though! 😁 I'd just worry that it would come out of the washing machine with the lighter part all patchy with darker dye....????

I thought making one these 'looked' very difficult but after watching your video I can see just how easy they truly are. Thank you for the video.
I have seen Many tutorials but no one with the long part of the towel. Love it thankss
Thank you for doing this video. I have been wanting to do this type of project and was scared to do it. Now after watching this I know I can do it.
Thank you :) Made it very clear for those of us who learn visually. Think my grandson and great grandson will be needing one of these...lol maybe the older girls too. Can never have too many towels in the house when you have wee ones!
+Terry Ivey You said it! As a mom I can tell you that hooded towels are awesome gifts for kids - useful and NOT noisy! :-)
I don't know why I thought it would be so difficult to do--thank you so much for creating this video! I feel confident now that I can do this!
+MildredOllie Great! Thanks for the feedback!
I just made one for my grandson with a dinosaur peeker on the edge for the pool this summer. Thanks for the wonderful demonstration.
This is a great tutorial, and the finished product looks amazing! Thanks for sharing. I'll try it for the grand kids and I'm about to visit your site.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. I never tried one because I didn't know where to begin. This made it a lot easier to learn how to do it.
ADORABLE! The video is easy to follow, and I am anxious to get started. Thank you! Thank you!
Love your vids. Short & to the point.
Great tutorial Am making one for my grandson's friend as a birthday gift. So easy and cute
Great video. for the Reindeer Applique is Felt good for the applique
That looks so cute! You are a good demonstrator! I think I'll try it.

I've used regular cotton. There are also whole groups of folks out there who use marine vinyl! Look up "MiKri World Craft Supplies."
Thanks for making this very simple. I noticed you have what appears as a laser to know your needle position? Was this an add-on to your machine? I have a Babylock BMP8 and considered purchasing a laser.
Can you tell me the exact measurement of the hand towel? Different places have different sizes just want to make sure i get the right size
That looks great! And, super easy! What can you use instead of embroidery?
Thanks for the tutorial
Wow! Great tutorial for my first hooded towel...I'm a little late to the party on these! LOL! 😂 Can't wait to make it! Thank You! >^.^
I have one add on to the video. I found certain designs didn’t fit as well on a hand towel cut in half, so I’ve begun sewing those on the whole towel, then trimming when finished.
Thank you so much for making this tutorial it's very helpful
Can you tell me how much you sell your hooded towels for? I have a craft show coming up and I’m considering these. Thank you
Do you think it’s still possible to make a hooded towel design when you only have a 4x4” machine?
I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure you can. I may try it out and see how it looks.
Did you make one with 4x4?

Yes, that is the only thing I didn't like about it. Should have folded the ONE handtowel in half AFTER embroidery and sewing it shut.
Good tutorial. Only thing is, it would be better to use ONE handtowel. Fold it in half after embroidery and sew it together so it will be lined and not have the scratchy embroidery against the head.
Love it❤
Great directions. Thank you so much!
What embroidery machine did you use? I am looking for a similar one. Great video! Thanks.

Love your video. What's the name of your machine. Love it.
Hi can I ask what material you used for your appliqué please
Thank you, but do you center the embroidery design on the hoop ?
Can you do this on a regular embroidery machine?
loved it! thank you for making the video!
Thank you. It looks fabulous. :)
Great video!!! Is this towel for a toddler? If so, how do you make a hood for older kids, say age 8? Thanks in advance.
+Nancy Schubert The only difference for ages would be the size towel I would use.
THANKYOU Melissa fab video ...
What is brand of embiodery machine please
Beautiful 😍 what machine did you used for the appliqué?
Seems you’re not answering questions! I’m going to do this on my channel. Ty for the inspiration!
is there more than one size of hand towels made?
Great video!!!!
Great video. Thanks!
OMG LOVE THIS... THANKS FOR SHARING
Do you have a preference on what size the applique design should be?
I use 5x7 laid horizontally. Taller than 7" or so doesn't work well with the hood.
what size is your hand towel?
Does it matter the hooded part as a ridge going across the end of towel. There is not one at other end..
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
can I make this on a brother 5x7 hoop?
what machine do you use for the appliquet?
What kind of sewing machine are you using
what application you use and what type of machine
I use Embrilliance (www.embrilliance.com/jamaffiliates/honeybeedlb) and a Brother PR 655
Great but isn’t the top kind of ruff for a baby’s head, can we do it softer
What’s the name of the sewing machine that makes the pictures
What stabilizer is on back of hood
Mary Begeot I’d say she probably used a tear away stabilizer or possibly cut away
Hi, Thank you so much for your tutorial.
I only have the normal frames that came with my Brother PR, please can you tell me what are you using.
Is it a hoop tech frame? I have googled and have only come up with this option but it costs $628. here in Australia. Many thanks for your time
fantastic!
Love
what kinda machine is that
I'd be careful with mixing colours... Towels are so heavily dyed and notorious for staining other fabrics and transferring coloured fluff! Lovely end product though! 😁 I'd just worry that it would come out of the washing machine with the lighter part all patchy with darker dye....????
Tami Elizabeth Allaway All you would need to do is pre wash. Should be doing that on all items anyway.
Time to get a serger
Great Video!!!
