I really love this song back in the 80s. When i was still in the Philippines…i have no idea that this song won the eurovision in 1987 ❤. It’s give me goosebumps whenever I hear this song. To be here today and settled in Dublin,Ireland is just beyond my wildest dreams🇮🇪☘️… I hope to see Jhonny Logan someday in person🙏… or maybe in the city centre 😊
This comment really warmed my heart. Even though I haven't been to Phillipines, I have a Phillipino acquaintance who talks a lot about the social issues in your homeland so I have a good idea how difficult life there is, how it's impossible for most to ever leave the country because of how pricey the visa and tickets and everything is, so I am happy you managed to start a new life in a much socially fairer country like Ireland that I also feel very strong affinity for
What a another year has a lot of melody, but hold me now has a lot of vocal power, I love them both, this guy has been runner up once, as a songwriter, winner 3 times, once as a songwriter, he IS the Eurovision GOAT, he is amazing and a legend, without him Ireland wouldn't be as significant as they are, you have to thank this guy, he changed Eurovision.
Best ESC winner ever. Still sounded just as good 8 years ago when I was lucky enough to be at a ESC reunion concert for a local charity in Newcastle upon Tyne. He did this and What's Another Year. Just fabulous.
Beautiful warm memories of my nanny playing this on her record player! I was 7 years old. The noise of the scraping as she pulled the arm back replaying this song ♥️ Thank you Johnny Logan for this beautiful memory ♥️🙏
I am 15 watching this in 2021 and even though this was 19 years before I was born I still know this was the no.1 entry of all time. Love and greetings from Greece
Oh wow! So happy to find this song. I was in high school and still remember seeing this in Eurovision. Still stings me now as it was more than 30 years ago. Johnny Logan is for me the best Eurovision has ever produced.
Johnny Logan - class act - 2022 and when you look back over Ireland's entries, the older ones were the best - great singers, great music, classy orchestra, great backing and the words were meaningful. He deserved more success in Ireland!
He still is one of the best singers ever born, but this time in 1987 shows the dynamic he had as young in a way that I believe no one EVER matched in ESC..
Eurovision fans are divided: What’s Another Year vs Hold Me Now. I'm firmly in the latter camp. What a song. What a white suit. In my Top 3 of winners at Eurovision and what DO you say when words are not enough?
@Bernie Briffa Hold Me Now is a great song, but I prefer What's Another Year. The melody is so lovely, daunting and heart breaking because it fits the lyrics perfectly. The orchestral arrangement (the ESC live version) is stellar and really, really beautiful and the saxophone makes the song original. The song tells a real story. What's Another Year's composition is better. But hey, that's just my opinion : -) Peace
At least the Irish entries like Dana, Johnny Logan, Linda Nolan and Niamh Kavanagh could actually sing. That Loreen was nothing but a piss poor Kate Bush/Bjork wannabe who couldn’t sing to save her life

To be here today and settled in Dublin,Ireland is just beyond my wildest dreams🇮🇪☘️…
I hope to see Jhonny Logan someday in person🙏… or maybe in the city centre 😊
This comment really warmed my heart. Even though I haven't been to Phillipines, I have a Phillipino acquaintance who talks a lot about the social issues in your homeland so I have a good idea how difficult life there is, how it's impossible for most to ever leave the country because of how pricey the visa and tickets and everything is, so I am happy you managed to start a new life in a much socially fairer country like Ireland that I also feel very strong affinity for
Ireland would do much better in Eurovision like this and the UK as younger people are starting to listen to this more
Johnny was too good for Eurovision. He still sounds amazing.
💯
forever Johnny Logan ❤❤❤😊
What a another year has a lot of melody, but hold me now has a lot of vocal power, I love them both, this guy has been runner up once, as a songwriter, winner 3 times, once as a songwriter, he IS the Eurovision GOAT, he is amazing and a legend, without him Ireland wouldn't be as significant as they are, you have to thank this guy, he changed Eurovision.
He actually participated on The Masked Singer in Belgium today.
Thank you for this notice 😍
The best Eurovision winner and the best Eurovision winning single. Love from the Philippines.
Johnny Logan is a fantastic singer.
2020 - Hello from Turkey 🇹🇷
The best ever Eurovision winner❤️
My late bro loved this fella. Rip Keith.
Goosebumps
From that period in time when Ireland seemed to win every year. And with good reason. Borderline cheesy but god I love this song.
Ann do you have Netflix? If so I recommend Eurovision song contest - the fire saga story
Best ESC winner ever. Still sounded just as good 8 years ago when I was lucky enough to be at a ESC reunion concert for a local charity in Newcastle upon Tyne. He did this and What's Another Year. Just fabulous.
Haway man
I think I'm not sure north east of England near Sunderland not sure but love de ye 💕
Watched both of his Eurovision performances and he doesn’t miss a note... complete brilliance..always be nay sayers who call it wrong
Beautiful warm memories of my nanny playing this on her record player! I was 7 years old. The noise of the scraping as she pulled the arm back replaying this song ♥️ Thank you Johnny Logan for this beautiful memory ♥️🙏
I love this song and it always gets me in the feels. Such a heartbreaking situation he is singing about.
A music for those who have ears to hear and the soul to feel its vibration
2022 +forever
The best romantic song ever in Eurovision song contest by one Irish person : 😊😅❤from one Italian
I am 15 watching this in 2021 and even though this was 19 years before I was born I still know this was the no.1 entry of all time. Love and greetings from Greece
Μπράβο κορίτσι μου είναι τελειο
STILL THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LYRICS I'VE EVER COME ACROSS
Hello 👋🏼 Lynno
He won every single Eurovision from 1980 till 3450
Super Song, Johnny was a nice boy, he has a wonderful voice 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh wow! So happy to find this song. I was in high school and still remember seeing this in Eurovision. Still stings me now as it was more than 30 years ago. Johnny Logan is for me the best Eurovision has ever produced.
Ich liebe seine Stimme und seine Lieder bis heute ❤️ als Kind saß ich vorm Fernseher und war hin und weg von dieser Stimme ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved Johnny Logan what a beautiful voice his voice is pure undying love
Johnny Logan - class act - 2022 and when you look back over Ireland's entries, the older ones were the best - great singers, great music, classy orchestra, great backing and the words were meaningful. He deserved more success in Ireland!
when the contest was honest and incorruptible! John u r better!
Johnny you are the king of eurovision
A Voice of an Angel, with two of the BEST SONGS from Eurovision.
Extreme Irish pride going on in 2021 watching this. Johnny, its time to do it again. Go on. 😍🇮🇪😍🇮🇪😍🇮🇪
I am here after his performance Euphoria. 😊
Increíble voice and unique forever 🥰🥰🥰
Back when Ireland began its decade long triumphant Eurovision roll ☘️☘️
Best one so far
Timeless ! Best Eurovision song of all time, from a time when Eurovision was a serious contest.
So we now have Mr. Eurovision and Ms. Eurovision
Johnny ❤
October in 2020? 😘🎶🎶🎤 Perfect voice 👏👏
Love from Croatia /Ireland
Ireland is legendary in the Eurovision Song Contest
At least the Irish entries like Dana, Johnny Logan, Linda Nolan and Niamh Kavanagh could actually sing. That Loreen was nothing but a piss poor Kate Bush/Bjork wannabe who couldn’t sing to save her life
@Aidan Holland he technically has won is three time, he was a song writer for one of the other winners
My favourite country and nowadays I'm so sad for them😢
@@YThdhs Johnny Logan wrote the 1992 winner ‘Why Me?’ for Linda Nolan
Oh my I remember being head over heals in love with this gorgeous man me and my friend Christine in school … we were 15 😂🎉
