How do you fix a headset that when plugged in it has no sound? I'm using the cheap one that came with the ps4. When it's plugged in you can see the indication on the screen but still no sound. You can hear it on the controller but not the headset

It would just go in and I could hear with the headphones but my mic would not work. After this video I tried to toothpick method and banged it for about 10 seconds and plugged in my mic, it worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!!

you should most definately try the update first and if it doesnt work then move on to the physical damage. Because it might just be the firmware and if you try messing with it physical you might actually break somthing.

Does this work for inconsistent audio as well? For example, really loud audio compared to other controllers, and audio that cuts out frequently?
