Hey guys I was just having the same issue with my mic we’re I can hear my friends but they couldn’t hear me but this is how you do it you have to hold the home button then go down to sound and devices the go down to mute all microphones then make sure it unchecked that’s why mines wasn’t working I had it checked 😂I hope this helps anyone !

In that case, probably isn't compatible... process of elimination is very useful! If the tips didn't work, yet it still works on say your phone or computer etc, some things just don't work together or could have some kind of defect.
Go to settings > initialization > restore default setting I was having this problem but this helped I even bought a new mic and it wasnt working so I just looked around till I figured it out but don’t do this unless u know the password to your PlayStation account because it will log u out

Fixes for the A10 brand new out of the box (troubleshooting) 1) Make sure it's not muted this particular mic you must flip the mic downward, since upwards means it's muted. (Also make sure your headset settings are set too all audio and not chat audio in the ps4 settings) 2) restart the ps4 with the mic plugged in, as well as check for any updates that your ps4 may have. (If this dosent fix follow the next steps) 3)make sure the ps4 is recognizing the mic input through the settings if it's not, simply unplug it from the controller. Then plug it in a little more than halfway, not fully then once it's recognized slowly push it in fully. (If it recognizes but won't pick up the input follow the next step) 4)Once the mic is recognized allowing you to hear sound as well as see your mic active but dosent pick up you talking. Simply push hard af (atleast five pounds of pressure on the 3.5mm side that connects directly into the headphone itself) make sure you are in a party and if you think you are pressing hard enough hold rhe pressure and start talking in a party chat to see if it starts lighting up. If it isn't you arnt pushing it hard enough, so try a little harder (I was scared it was going to break the cable with the amount of force I had to put but it ended up working) once you've seen it starting to light up you can let go of the 3.5mm jack and finally enjoy your brand new mic that you just bought. (Step four worked for me after I had to troubleshoot all the other options and decided to share this fix due to being pissed that I had bought a brand new microphone thinking It was broken) If step four dosent fix the issue I'd recommend using a q tip with 90% rubbing alcohol (if you have 70% make sure to clean it twice with a dry q tip that way you dont damage the jax inside of the controller and get rid of any excess alcohol) Hopefully this helps I was in the same boat buying a brand new pair of a10 ps4 headphones only to think they were broken from the start, eventually got pissed and pushed super hard on the 3.5 cable connected to the mic itself held it there and talked into a party to my suprise it actually picked up my input, I was scared if i Le go that it wouldnt work due to how hard I was pressing I in and it wouldn't budge any further but to my suprise it worked) Ps never buy these headphones they are an absolute shit product considering i had to troubleshoot them straight out of a brand new box, took me thirty minutes of tutorial fixed only to find out none of them actually solved the problem other than step 4. For a sixty dollar mic you're better off getting skullcandy for 10$ atleast they'll work out of the box and you don't have to troubleshoot a brand new product.
hmm, thats something new, what do you mean by moving it? Maybe the jack is loose and easily gets out so when you tilt the ps4 it moves out hence it is not working.

To test which one it is: 1st: tell me if any other headset works on your ps4 when connected to your controller 2nd: try connecting your headset to your phone (should work) If Number 1 doesnt work then its your controller, if number 2 doesnt work then its your headset, but if both works then your 4 ring sleeve jack isnt all the way into the controller. It could be that if you are talking in a game chat, the game automatically puts you on push to talk or has you muted so you will have to check the game settings. If you are talking about party chat, maybe it is because your input volume is too quiet or that they have you muted or that your party settings have you muted, so check all your settings.
Please tell me your audio settings on your ps4 -> audio devices. Tell me *all* your settings there. And check if in game your master audio is atleast above 80
Then you wont be able to talk. You will need to connect to the controller and the ps4 or just the controller. If you can only connect via the ps4 then you will have this problem forever.

Very unlikely for it to be the controller, especially if it is the standard ps5 controller and it is new. Try getting a boom pro mic ($20) which you can attach to your current headset. -in my headset vs video

Apple stuff does work with the C40TR. I've been using my Studio 3's with my Astro C40 TR for years 👌 thing is, it's a $500+ setup Specifically the aux that comes with the beats. I used it and bought an adapter to connect the aux to bose headphones. Now I use bose and beats. My problem is my brother's headphones mic stopped working. But they do work if I use it on my phone and call someone so the mic isn't broken.
So i bought a brand new ps4 in february. I'm still using the same ps4 mono earbud to this day. A couple days ago in a party with my friend it stopped working and I could hear him but I couldn't talk. It stayed like that for a couple hours. Then it came back. Now today I was in a game of fn with another friend and It happened again. I did all the steps you said. took it out restarted, put it back in, mic settings, all of that and the thing about putting the party chat to party instead of game chat. Nothing. It still doesnt work. I'm not sure what to do anymore
The ps4 mono earbud might’ve died that day, because they are pretty cheap and not premium quality. Im only saying this because it looks like you’ve done all the right things. Another thing could be that due to over using it, the mic jack connecting in the controller might work in a certain position (where you have to hold it in a certain position due to (physical) problems building up overtime). This still doesn’t help me, I put the mic in the right way never had any problems but one day my audio went out my friends can’t hear me I can’t hear nobody but when I go to adjust microphone level it shows im speaking but I can’t hear anything do you know any solutions or is it just the ps4 system messed up?

This video is the obvious way which did not solve my problem. If all else fails. Go to setting>initialsation>restore default settings this should do it

If ur playing a game with push to talk, sometimes it automatically turns on push to talk so go to ur settings and make sure u turn off push to talk

Another fix is that some people are muted in the party settings (this helped a lot of people acc)

If you got a USB headset and still don't work just reset ps4 default settings and it fixed mine after a lot of headaches

This still doesn’t help me, I put the mic in the right way never had any problems but one day my audio went out my friends can’t hear me I can’t hear nobody but when I go to adjust microphone level it shows im speaking but I can’t hear anything do you know any solutions or is it just the ps4 system messed up?
Have you looked at the pinned top comment solution? It might help
@@ChowdhuryTwins that has nothing to do with my problem if that was checked it wouldn’t show that your speaking when you go to adjust microphone level and I would still be able to hear them they just wouldn’t be able to hear me

This video is the obvious way which did not solve my problem. If all else fails. Go to setting>initialsation>restore default settings

when i rubbed the metal to my aux i hear static noises and when plug the aux in and push it hard against my controller my mic works but once i let go it doesn't work

I have a new controller and new headset black fire its for ps4 says on the box but when i plug it in the controller it makes werid sound on the left side and sometimes mic works but very low or they just dont hear me but when i put it on a old controller it works perfectly?
