I was able to put both Total Replay and Instant replay on my SDcard and use TAB to choose which disk image to use. I just named them SMART0.2meg and SMART1.2meg. Your video really helped explain how to get it all setup. THANK YOU!!!!

Glad to hear it! With the latest FEMU firmware, things are much easier (and different) now.

The IIc will boot directly from the floppy emu, I have total replay on my floppy emu (version 1.1 #0044) with the current firmware, and it is set to smart port, and boots right to is on my IIc

Interesting. I've heard from some others who also didn't have to go the route I'm showing. I wonder which combination of Apple IIc, Emu, and firmware/machine ROMs yield success with a direct boot? One thing I forgot to mention in the video is a IIc with ROM255 \--> PRINT PEEK (64447) at the BASIC prompt to find what ROM

How do you have your Floppy Emu connected? Mine is connected to the internal 20 pin floppy port so the 5-1/4" floppy drive is essentially disabled. It looks like you are using the Floppy Emu as drive 2. But how did you connect the 20 pin Emu to the 19 pin external drive port?

If you bought yours from BMOW it should have included a DB19 connector. On their webshop you should see it in the photo for the Model C Bundle.

Does anybody know how to get Total Replay booting automatically from IIC+ ? Seems like it's possible looking at the comments on GitHub, but you're showing via a boot disk.

I can't remember which version of Total Replay which worked booting from D2, without another boot disk, but it did work before. I can definitely boot another 32MB ProDOS image so it might have to do with how it's mastered.

@@upgradefever thanks for the quick reply. I'll let you know if I ever figure out the secret (if there is one!)

@@upgradefever so I just ordered the 5X ROM for the IIC+ from ReactivateMicro. It should allow direct boot to Smartport. It may take a week or so for it to ship and test, but stay tuned, I'll post back here.

@@josephbseeley Thanks, it's part of the equation.... the other part is finding an image (in this case TotalReplay) that's bootable. Right now having the 5X ROM is what allows me to boot to SmartPort D2 where my FloppyEMU is attached. However, in order for that to happen I have to hold the option key during boot to access the 5x ROM menu and then select "(5) Boot 3.5/SmartPort" . In addition the image itself has to be bootable. If I hear something else myself about what makes it tick I'll post it up here too. Good luck!

@@thomaswolf5744 Hey there Thomas! I just installed the 5X ROM on my IIC+ and life is good, finally got Total Replay booting straight from FloppyEmu in Smartport mode. :) Here is my setup: FloppyEmu model B version 1.5 (Apple 2 version .02H CPLD firmware 25) with latest firmware in Smartport mode. There are three different Total Replay images: 1.2, 2.0.2 and 3.0.2. Only 3.0.2 works (you can tell it's 3.0.2 because it says TOTAL.REPLAY on the FloppyEmu Display, not 4am). I take the 3.0.2 2mg and rename it smart0.2mg and put in the root of the FloppyEmu drive. On power on of the IIC+, the FloppyEmu isn't fast enough to mount the 2mg image, so you see "UNABLE TO FIND A BOOTABLE DISK ONLINE." message. However, upon rebooting, Total Replay comes right up now and thereafter! I am THRILLED, this is such a fantastic game package, it was worth all the time I spent trying to get this to work. I tried this with my old ROM chip and it never worked, so I know the 5X ROM had something to do with it. However, I would be lying if I said I knew exactly what the difference is...but do I care?? :) Best of luck, I hope this helps you and others who are stuck trying to get Total Replay booting directly off a FloppyEmu. Thanks for all your help!
