YouTubeTV on Roku
This video was made for a friend of mine who wants to see how RUclipsTV works. Here I have it setup on a Roku device.
The ActionTec is used to bring ethernet to where my TV is located. It does that by using the same line that runs throughout the house for the cableTV connection. Search for MOCA if you want to understand more.
The Extron device is not required in this setup but is actually used by me to watch RUclips videos that don't fit text [My LCD TV is not 1080P] within a 720P image.

SCSI2SD v5.1 Mounting Issue
Просмотров 3415 лет назад
Bought my SCSI2SDv51 w/bracket from Inertial Computing. Really like it with the exception of a mounting issue - While using an enclosure designed for a SCSI tape drive (SyQuest) there is a gap in the faceplate area.
How to open Apple IIGS case

If you're having trouble figuring this out (removing the lid) or perhaps a Seller on eBay needs to show the condition inside of a IIGS computer, this video should help.
Samsung ML-2851ND

A quick look at the Samsung ML-2851ND printer, which is able to print in duplex (both sides of page) and be used on a network.
I was able to put both Total Replay and Instant replay on my SDcard and use TAB to choose which disk image to use. I just named them SMART0.2meg and SMART1.2meg. Your video really helped explain how to get it all setup. THANK YOU!!!!
Glad to hear it! With the latest FEMU firmware, things are much easier (and different) now.
Thank you
RUclips tv was removed from ruko here u can read full article about ruko hyderabadtechnology.wordpress.com/2021/05/01/youtube-tv-removed-from-roku-channel-store-amid-google-contract-dispute/
Great! Had it ont my Apple IIe, but forget how to do on Apple IIc.
How about having your presentation prepared in advanced. Too many ummm's. You showed the library BUT not how to add programs. Very poor
Thanks for your feedback. I agree regarding too many "ummm's" which was noticeable to me after recording it. However, as the description noted this video was made for a friend and wasn't scripted or intended to be more complete. I could have made the video private but decided against it in the hope it might help others regardless.
Thanks for the video. On a complete system, there's also a screw to remove from that small hole near the top in the middle of the back panel.
That's a good point. Funny thing, I don't even remember having that screw when I bought it new in 1986. Guess not many owners keep it since I have at least a dozen that all don't have them. Thanks for the comment.
How do you have your Floppy Emu connected? Mine is connected to the internal 20 pin floppy port so the 5-1/4" floppy drive is essentially disabled. It looks like you are using the Floppy Emu as drive 2. But how did you connect the 20 pin Emu to the 19 pin external drive port?
If you bought yours from BMOW it should have included a DB19 connector. On their webshop you should see it in the photo for the Model C Bundle.
How did you get directly back to the channel you were watching in the guide
Not sure where I showed that, however in order to go back to the watched show from the guide, I believe one would (might have to use the back arrow first) use the d-pad to scroll to the top of the screen. Position the highlight over the show name and then hit "okay" or enter on the Roku remote.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
so trash
So boring for you to do it it have a plug a Roku plug back and do it on your old TV hahaha
Do you have a Roku TV tell me
You do have a Roku TV tell me Comet Staffing
You have a Roku Smart TV to you
how do you do it
You have to be running Roku 9.3 for the enhanced voice remote to work within apps. Version 9.3 is being released in a very haphazard manner by Roku. ruclips.net/video/uigvDaBP89Y/видео.html How To: Forcing OS 9.2 Update On Roku TV 1,475 views•Oct 22, 2019 This guy above was 100% correct about this solution. I just forced 2 different Roku TV's to upgrade from Roku 9.2 to Roku 9.3 this week. One was a Magnavox and the other was an RCA. I don't have any speakers either I don't know what made him think of this but I'm glad he did. Now I have to research the Roku/RUclips voice commands WRZ 2020-06-13 Delaware County, PA
That TV apparently catches fire occasionally😝
You don’t get most live channels in 1080p do you? I just signed up for RUclips TV and I have a Roku 3 and the highest quality most channels have is 720p. However someone said some of the more modern Roku models do support 1080p. Would you know if this is correct?
Sorry for the much delayed reply as I didn't get notified of all the comments. To answer your question, not sure if Roku 3 does 1080p for the RUclipsTV app. The reason I have mine set to 720p is because my TV it's connected to is way old and that's the best it does in progressive. If you are thinking of upgrading from a Roku 3, seriously consider the Nvidia Shield.
Looking at this thread in particular github.com/a2-4am/4cade/issues/65 it says
Does anybody know how to get Total Replay booting automatically from IIC+ ? Seems like it's possible looking at the comments on GitHub, but you're showing via a boot disk.
I can't remember which version of Total Replay which worked booting from D2, without another boot disk, but it did work before. I can definitely boot another 32MB ProDOS image so it might have to do with how it's mastered.
@@upgradefever thanks for the quick reply. I'll let you know if I ever figure out the secret (if there is one!)
@@upgradefever so I just ordered the 5X ROM for the IIC+ from ReactivateMicro. It should allow direct boot to Smartport. It may take a week or so for it to ship and test, but stay tuned, I'll post back here.
@@josephbseeley Thanks, it's part of the equation.... the other part is finding an image (in this case TotalReplay) that's bootable. Right now having the 5X ROM is what allows me to boot to SmartPort D2 where my FloppyEMU is attached. However, in order for that to happen I have to hold the option key during boot to access the 5x ROM menu and then select "(5) Boot 3.5/SmartPort" . In addition the image itself has to be bootable. If I hear something else myself about what makes it tick I'll post it up here too. Good luck!
@@thomaswolf5744 Hey there Thomas! I just installed the 5X ROM on my IIC+ and life is good, finally got Total Replay booting straight from FloppyEmu in Smartport mode. :) Here is my setup: FloppyEmu model B version 1.5 (Apple 2 version .02H CPLD firmware 25) with latest firmware in Smartport mode. There are three different Total Replay images: 1.2, 2.0.2 and 3.0.2. Only 3.0.2 works (you can tell it's 3.0.2 because it says TOTAL.REPLAY on the FloppyEmu Display, not 4am). I take the 3.0.2 2mg and rename it smart0.2mg and put in the root of the FloppyEmu drive. On power on of the IIC+, the FloppyEmu isn't fast enough to mount the 2mg image, so you see "UNABLE TO FIND A BOOTABLE DISK ONLINE." message. However, upon rebooting, Total Replay comes right up now and thereafter! I am THRILLED, this is such a fantastic game package, it was worth all the time I spent trying to get this to work. I tried this with my old ROM chip and it never worked, so I know the 5X ROM had something to do with it. However, I would be lying if I said I knew exactly what the difference is...but do I care?? :) Best of luck, I hope this helps you and others who are stuck trying to get Total Replay booting directly off a FloppyEmu. Thanks for all your help!
There is no option to add RUclips tv to my Roku, I can add RUclips app but not RUclips tv
Thanks for your question. It is possible that your model of Roku doesn't support RUclipsTV. I couldn't find anything directly on either Roku or RUclipsTV's websites, but this website goes through the process of adding the app and mentions some models that do and don't support it. www.businessinsider.com/how-to-add-youtube-tv-to-roku
I kind of figured that my Roku device was too old so I ordered a new Roku Express on Walmart.com for like $26 Thanks for the info
The IIc will boot directly from the floppy emu, I have total replay on my floppy emu (version 1.1 #0044) with the current firmware, and it is set to smart port, and boots right to is on my IIc
Interesting. I've heard from some others who also didn't have to go the route I'm showing. I wonder which combination of Apple IIc, Emu, and firmware/machine ROMs yield success with a direct boot? One thing I forgot to mention in the video is a IIc with ROM255 \--> PRINT PEEK (64447) at the BASIC prompt to find what ROM <--/ can't be used in this process.
I just ordered a scsi to sd from them and the site seemed sketchy. I could find almost no info on the site. This is the only place i found some one on youtube mentioning them. Strange. Did your experience go well with them?
It went fine but I get what you mean. When I purchased the older SCSI2SD v5.0b from Amiga on the Lake, they were good also. No one else seemed to have the card/bracket combo matching what I was looking for (i.e. color, shape) except Inertial Computing. www.scsi2sd.com and store.inertialcomputing.com and Rabbit Hole Computing all seem to be the same people.
@@upgradefever ok, thats reassuring. inertial computing seem to be very recent as they opened their ebay page only 3 days ago. I have have been searching for a scsi2sd for a little bit now and when i noticed them it seemed kinda weird. Last time i heard about a scsi to sd device being sold was like 2-3 years back. The short supply caused ebay prices to sky rocket. So hopefully i get mine in the mail. Have a good one.
how do you get its IP adress
Subtle hint of Samsung to reduce power costs haha. Annoying blue light makes you shut the monitor off indeed. Have one myself aswell.
Thanks
what type of monitor is that?
