I just bought the Sony ZV1 and the screen turns black if I'm not recording within a few seconds of it being on. I'd like to not make it turn black so fast but I'm not sure how. Do you know?

Jason! Thanks for your videos on the Sony ZV-1. I bought the camera and I am using the settings you recommended. My last three RUclips videos are shot using the little Sony ZV-1. I absolutely love it. My main camera is a Canon EOS R, but I have admittedly used it a lot less since getting the ZV-1. So much power in a small package, and who does not like the one-button blurry background. Just awesome! Thanks man!

Maybe some can help I find when I am looking right at the camera everything is great but when I not looking right at the camera the image gets darker... this could be cause of my skin complexion. How do I keep the camera from reducing lighting??

I had the same. Go back to the mode button, move up to the Video option above the Intelligent mode. I did the same thing going down to the P and had to back up to the movie mode above to get the audio levels to be something I could change.
Hi Jason, wondering why there is a different Cam in the time stamp 10:17 Enabling Touch Tracking Focus? - i do not have that setting there where you are showing it. Also I'm in Australia and my settings are very different than yours. Might be a country thing but it's frustrating haha (not that you can do anything about it)
Hey so I’m having issues with my rode mic for my camera. Every time I hook it up to my Sony zv1 and do an audio test The audio gets picked up on the camera mic and not the rode mic. What am I supposed to do?
I have a question for you. I would like to output 4k on a ZV1 to a Macbook as I was doing some screen recording on Screenflow. But went I go to my setting and try to select 4K output, that function was off and I do not know how to turn it on. I would appreciate it if you would show me how. THX

Thanks for this! I set up my camera most of the way through. I was wondering why I was getting 25fps instead of 24fps, but then fixed it by changing to NTSC. The other gotcha was though Auido Recording and Audio Level Display are both on, Audio Rec Level is grayed out; camera says that I'm unable to use it in Program Auto mode. Also, I'm on Big Sur so can't upgrade the firmware. But hopefully, ready for use!

Under file format, i only see the option of shooting in 24fps for 4k. I cannot see any 30fps option. Any suggestions?
