You didn’t link to the upgraded mah lipo battery can you please so I can get it ?
TheRcSaylors the link for upgraded battery was for 1300mah can link the better one please
Wild pictures from the drone. Great job.
I learned to fly in the mid 1980's. WOW has it gotten cheaper and better. $250 for a full setup and no nitro mess is great. ( vs 500-1000 back then and a month to build it from balsa ) This would be a great first plane as its size is easy to see and it can fly pretty slow. My first plane was a Butterfly and took months to build. My second was a mid wing and I destroyed it on the first flight. I have played around with a few 049's and small electrics since but nothing in the "real" sizes. Thanks for the videos. I do miss going to the airfield and watching all the really cool planes fly.
I've gotten good with my Champ so today I did it, I ordered me a Mini Apprentice S. I owe it all to you Nate and Abby. You've got me into something I truly love doing. Thank You both so much.
That is Amazing to hear Rance!!! So awesome and we love knowing that weve been able to help some! You are the Reason we are making our new beginner series videos and others like you. Please give us a follow up after your build and first few flights!! 👍⚓😎
@@TheRcSaylors Thanks guys. The weather is getting ready to get drastically colder and snowy but as soon as it gets nice again ill get her up in the air. I will definitely share my experiences with you.☺
Just remember if you build it on a cold nasty winter day, dont leave the rubber bands on the main wing for months at a time. It will wear them out before you even fly it 👍⚓😎
@@TheRcSaylors Thanks. I never even thought about that. I'll leave them off til I'm ready to fly.
One good rule to remember when flying TOWARDS youself... Push the stick in the direction of the low wing. (ie left for / and right for \ ). It's simple to remember the phrase - " Stick to the low wing".
OMG, Thank you! This honestly solves my biggest issue when flying
Don’t understand that,left for/right for.
I am a new flyer and have The Apprentice STS. I'm also learning how to fly in the Wind. Thanks for the video.
I am really happy you guys are doing this beginner series. Hopefully it will get some people encouraged enough to give the hobby a try for themselves!
One thing to talk about when flying in heavy winds is relative speed.
When flying against the wind you can almost be stationary and still keep flying 'cause of the windspeed over the wind.
But flying with the wind you must fly faster that the wind to keep the air flowing over the wing.
And fly in 8's then you learn to turn both left and right.
i enjoy seeing tutorials for beginners. We were all beginners at some point in time. Well done, Saylors!!!
even the best crash. basics are always a great idea to review
I totally enjoyed this video. I fly a lot of different planes, I just love watching other people fly and this was a great video. Believe it or not I still learn something every time I watch. I’m not the greatest pilot, so there’s always a lot to learn by watching someone’s video. One like yours. Great job!!!!
Thanks for your time helping new people
We want nothing more than to help the hobby grow 👍⚓😎
Well that was unexpected and kinda neat. I got a "shout out" on the Saylors channel. But thanks to you and a couple other friends, you got me flying that day. Still got alot of learning to do. Had to say a big THANKS to you and others.(you know who are). 👍✈⚓
Part of me still wants that plane. I dont know if I want one that badly. I am not a beginner but I do love to fly an easy to fly plane that is relaxing. I am glad you two covered the Apprentice and hope that many beginners consider this plane as a starter. I personally hate flying in wind simply because you expend all your battery power trying to keep your plane where you want it. Now that I have a plane with Flaps, I would rather fly that
Same here , I have the red Carbon Cub (the one before the yellow one) And it looks great in the air, but is tricky to handle on the ground. Ive really been eyeing this one.
Thanks for the video. I watch you guys a lot and its fun to see and hear your excitement flying RC aircraft. Regarding wind, I flew my E-Flite Habu SS (which has the 70 AMP 2400Kv 6 pole brushless motor and 70 mm ducted Fan unit, and 70 AMP 6S 50C battery) The conditions at the field 2 days ago were harsh. The flag was stretched and flapping fast which is indicative that he wind speed is 25 to 31 mph. Taxi and take off: Do not taxi cross wind. Place the plane into the wind and stand behind it to watch the take off role and rotation. My flight tactics were to keep the EDF jet on the ground and exceed V2 holding slight down elevator. Then do a near vertical take off to get away from the ground with all its turbulence and opportunities to be flipped during rotation. Final approach, landing, and roll out: Landing in gusty wind is not as easy. I come in hot and get ready for a headwind gust or downdraft as I approach the ground. This could lift the plane unexpectedly at close to touchdown which could cause a stall or a bounce which could ruin your landing gear. So once on the ground I hold down elevator, then I cut the throttle. It is like a carrier landing. " Safe" mode could help if you have it during Final if the wind is hammering you. The pay off to all of this is , once you are airborn you can have fun flying in the wind... it is like sailboarding on a rough day. Lots of fun.
Nate, I found myself yelling at my computer today and yesterday with Abby's maiden video when you talked about how to take off with this plane, "just give it full throttle and a lot of up" This plane will take off on it's own no elevator input is required. Slowly add throttle and it will take off on it's own.
On another note I just wanted to let your viewers know that Horizon Hobby has a National R/C Flight Training program that started last year. The flight training is free when you purchase one of six designated beginner models, the training is provided free by one of over 300 volunteer coaches across the country. Go to the horizon hobby web site near the bottom of the page there is a heading titled learn, click on the Horizon Hobby Flight School Link for more info.
With a tricycle gear airplane, when taking off from a non-smooth surface (such as grass), while still on the ground you want to apply up elevator to reduce the load on the nose gear. Depending on the amount of authority (effect) the elevator has, an airplane may not need full elevator for this; excessive input might cause the tail to strike the ground. Also, the input can be reduced as the airplane accelerates since the increased airflow will increase the elevator’s effectiveness; reduce input as needed to maintain the initial effect.
As the plane gets airborne, it is important to smoothly and promptly reduce the elevator input so that the airplane climbs at a normal rate. Continuing to hold full input can cause the airplane to pitch up too steeply and stall. Note that SAFE will override the excessive input to try to prevent a stall, which is very helpful for beginners, though learning good technique will produce even better results than just relying on the SAFE limits.
Hope that helps!
@@chadpollman7970 This is great advise but can be hard to master. I struggle with this sometimes even after 30+ years of flying. Gary
The last landing looked more like a controlled crash ;) everybody survived, the aircraft survived, the most important.
Good video, keep on flying....
Hello friend, I was entertained with this video. I bought the plane and it is wonderful. How great that I can fly it with a wind of up to 13km, even a little more, it works well.
Thanks for this video , makes me feel better about flying on windy days. Usually I just look out side and if the trees are moving then I keep the planes on the ground. Just dont want to crash, but I know its apart of it lol. This Video shows I just need to have the right plane to get used to it. Being able to fly on Windy days would allow me alot more weekends to Fly for sure.
Nate, when I was leaving to fly I was taught when flying towards you always tip the elevator stick to the dipping wing. This was a lot easier than someone telling me the control are reversed.
Tip down stick down...has saved my plane many times!
Y'all showing off them fancy skills again! Lol! Nate with his fancy flying and abbey with her mad filming skills! Your really great with keeping up with the shots and keeping up with nate and able to keep interacting! Excellent tutorial for beginners! Lost my 2nd drone , so not sure about the flying thing! But still want to try! Thanks for a great video guy's! Y'all are awesome people!!👍👍😎👽⚓🛩
Randy, the best way to try before investing is to buddy box. The struggle is finding someone with the equipment and time. In the summer months there is a lot of "Fun Flys" and they tend to have people prepared to buddy box. I'm in Mid-Ohio if you are ever around. Gary
Abby has good comments and good questions.
Absolutely 👍💯❤️⚓️
My take-out from this vid (I'm a newbie) is just because the stick range of movement is there - doesn't mean you have to use it
Glad to see that you properly explained the "Safe" modes. Some guys at our club think that "AS3X" equals "Safe" and they argue that it cripples pilot control of the model. I am an experienced rc pilot since 1965 and I will use a stabilised receiver in a small, light model. If we had AS3X type stabilising back in the old days things would have been a lot easier.
The best advise I heard here is to only land when the approach is good. It's an automatic reaction for me to abort a landing if something isn't right especially if I'm not lined up on a narrow strip of runway and also if the touch down point is too short or far past where I want to touch down at. I've been at this for 48 years and when switching planes or flying something I haven't flown in a while, I always have to get back in touch with each planes individual natural glide angle and feel in ground effect. They are all different, and respond differently and repeated practice makes your confidence soar with those approaches.
The only other advise is to add power during the down wind turns to base leg of the pattern. On calm days, you don't have to worry about that, but some airplanes just stall on that down wind turn to base if you get too slow. A trainer is usually not a problem, it's when you get into some of the more advanced planes that this issue will bite you if your not aware of it. If your a rank beginner, it's better to avoid windy days, but there really is no reason to fear an 8 to 10 mph wind if it is relatively smooth wind and not near trees. Gusty winds near tree lines can cause rotors (swirling barrels of wind) and that's not good to land in at all for a beginner.
This video is more like it. Less gabbing, some pertinent content and actual good amount flight time (and I'm not talking about how long the battery lasts). This will get you views and less thumbs down 👎. Good job!
Hi Robert, I agree this is a great video! Gary
Great video of a new RC pilot. There is one small part that is not exactly correct when you are explaining how wind affects the airplane. In reality, an airplane in flight only "feels' relative wind. That is the wind flowing over the wings as the plane move through the air. Wind does affect "ground speed" which causes the person on the ground to perceive the plane going faster or slower when fiying with the wind or into the wind. It is somewhat important to understand this concept. I have a private pilot license and this principle is true for all aircraft once the plane is airborne. Thanks for taking the time to produce these training videos. Great job.
I really like that you are helping the beginner! I wish i would have had that!
Your welcome! Keep flying !
I have the mini aero scout and I love this. Too bad there are severe storms right now
That landing was beautiful! Great video!
Man....... the air camera man is awsome . Very good beginners video ! Abby........get outta here .
Nailed it ! Thanks !
You inspire me to fly in the wind, I never used to but if you don't you don't get to fly much, Thanks Nate and Abby!
Just bought the aeroscout oh man such fun! Afraid to switch it to intermediate mode. Love the channel guys.
Love you guys! You make it seem so much more fun than it even is and that's a lot.
TOTALLY FUN!! Thanks to Michael and thanks to Abby's sock!! 💟👍😘
Abbys sock says you are welcome, lol 👍⚓😎🤣😂
You guys are the best because you got me into the hobby. Thank you! ☺
Great video guys! I got an Apprentice S2 about a month ago and it's amazing. My only issue, ironically, is with SAFE. I don't know if it's a problem with my plane or the transmitter, but with SAFE on the plane is always trying to climb, so that I find myself holding full down elevator just to keep the plane at the altitude that I want. Other than that, learning how to fly has become easier for everyone. Keep it coming guys!
It's because throttle is what controls your elevation. Fly at a speed that allows level flight. That is what your plane wants to do.
I have never had a bad day of flying! I’ve crashed a few too! But never had a bad day!!
A bad day flying is still a better day than working
I just got this plane this Christmas and crashed it on my first flight today-anyways, I repaired it today afternoon and will try again tomorrow with using your tipps!
Wish me luck 🍀
Good Luck! Sorry to hear about your crash, but you got this! 👍😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors thanks, it went way better today
What I'd like to see for this beginners series is a couple of videos where you get a rank beginner into the air. Start with the Champ and end with the person finally flying a warbird. No stunting in this series.
I agree. No one stunts as a beginner. I was shaking so badly the first time I had a hard time. Then I crashed and watched the front of my $300 plane come off and its entrails come out like a gutted fish and laughed. What else can you do. I was flying way to low and slow. It was the classic tip stall. He never covered the what ifs and what happends when's.Thats too bad. I had my plane fixed and flying by that evening. After my second crash, I went out and invested in a simulator. After 3 weeks of that, I came back out and was flying without crashing. I also binge watched Flite Tests beginner series. Yes, it also helped.
Thanks for sharing your positivity.
Love you guys. My first video was regarding lipos, now I'm learning to fly, looking for more help.
Great energy, better tips, and the best time!
awesome video with great info
Cannot wait until you guys fly the Tinyhawk 2... not super long battery times, but so cool. And buy the way....... you guys rock. 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah weve gotta get some drone love back on the channel soon 👍⚓😎
Great video,you 2 make a great team !
Thank you Fred! 👍😁😎⚓️
Good job NATE..👍
This was really nice to watch. Thank yyou.
1 year ago my father bougth me a dhc-2-beaver 1:10 size and we havent gotten chance to fly it beascuse its so big but this video helped me in some basic of flying a rc plane🎉🎉🎉
Do I have to practice on a flight simulator before buying and going out on my own. And which one of those budget friendly planes or gliders can I get with everything field ready?
Practicing on a sim such as RF9 is highly recommended as it will save you frustration and money. The very plane in this video is available from Horizon Hobby. I own one and love it.
Thanks for the video and the race drone pilots very impressive
I bought my apprentice mini last summer I can’t seem to get out of beginner mode I think my problem is the when I put it in intermediate or advanced modes I tend to over control....I guess I need to get it three mistakes high and work on that. It is a great flying plane!
Three mistakes high and just make yourself do it. Remember very small inputs in that mode will make the plane move a Lot More than in beginner mode. You can do it! Just dont forget where your Oh crap button is just in case 😉👍⚓😎
I just Love watching RC Saylors
Thank you Stewart! 😁👍⚓😎
Thanks! My friend and I just got out Scout S2 and we're going to try our first flights in a couple of days. This was helpful.
That's how I recognized it as when I first heard you say about the elevators, in movies they always say "pull up - pull up" and you always see them pulling BACK on the stick. And in a dive they're pushing the stick forward. Is the bigger planes better in the wind or breezy conditions? One day looked like there wasn't any wind, so I took the Sport Cub to a park and the breeze was throwing it off. Of course being new too, I got anxious and did something wrong though.
Depends on wing design, but generally speaking, the greater the mass the less wind affects it.
Thanks for the helpful tips hope to get out this spring and practice.
Thanks for the very informative information, While I don’t have a plane yet, I’m very interested and love learning from your videos, so guess you could say I’m a beginner lol ! I’m really looking at this very plane your working with, seems to be the perfect plane for someone like me, thank you again
This is a great series i cant wait to get my apprentice with safe out this spring and start learning i am a complete novice
I have the Carbon Cub+ and it is the best plane for me.
You two are great, thanks for video's like this ! !
I am a beginner and this video is perfect
Thanks Roland! Happy Flying my friend 👍😁😎⚓️
Thank you
The UMX Timber and UMX Waco can handle alot for the UMX size. The Turbo Timber on 4s can handle alot of wind as well. If your radio allows, set up your aircraft with 2 throttle cuts. Something I learned the hard way and I know a few very experienced RC helicopter pilots who do the same.
Thx! I have had my Aero Scout for 2weeks but haven't flown it yet because in NE Colorado there is always wind! Good tips!
How did it go? Plane still in one piece 😉
@@_namenloses_4593 Not well! Learned a lesson in wind shear off a large building! Downwind of a large building and it hit my Craft like a sledgehammer! I may just stay a fan, not a participant!
@@toddbates5359aybe try a micro plane and wait for a day when there is no wind. Or learn in a simulator that's also really fun.
hi there just bought myself the carbon cub s2 do i need an instructor or can i just fly it as evryone is talking about passing tests and stuff I'm in the uk as well ?
Hey guys great beginner series videos. You know I’ve always wanted to learn how to fly RC Planes but it was like impossible. I recently bought the RF9 Simulator and within a weeks time I’m able to fly and land the RC plane. I’m so excited, I feel like I can fly an RC Plane now. I will looking into getting this plane for myself to put my skills to the test. One thing I would like for you guys to talk about is what is the difference between a low wing plane and a high wing plane? How does it fly or behave differently?
Hi Noeys, my thought process on this is something like which is easier. High wing airplane is like hanging from a chin-up bar where low wing plane is like standing on a balance beam. As long as you don't lose your grip there is no problem hanging below the bar but you will always be working on your balance when on the balance beam. Hope this make sense! Gary
Hey guys, thanks so much. I’d like to see a little more talk about the controll inputs and their affection the plane, ie what the rudder does in conjunction with flaps.i don’t hear you mention it much. Thanks again
Brief summary...
Rudder input causes the airplane to yaw left/right around the vertical axis. Movement similar to a weathervane, though it will also cause the wings to bank (tilt) some. (Won’t be brief if I try to explain why, so I won’t.)
Aileron (not flaps; Nate misspoke) input causes the airplane to bank (roll) left/right around the longitudinal (nose-to-tail) axis. Movement similar to that hunk of meat roasting on a spit, when viewed from one end of the spit. Or a seesaw, viewed from the side (seesaw = the wing). Will also cause the nose to yaw a little toward the high wing (again, non-brief physics).
Elevator input influences the pitch attitude (nose-high/nose-low relative to the direction of movement) of the airplane, rotating around the horizontal/lateral axis (tumbling nose-over-tail, or vice-versa). Attitude works in conjunction with thrust (throttle input) to determine whether the airplane is climbing/descending/level and how quickly (yes, it’s more complicated, but that’s the gist of it).
Hope that helps!
Chad Pollman very succinct! Thank you!
SAFE technology mixes two or more control surfaces (aileron and rudder for example) to work together and produce smooth steady maneuvers. Advanced pilots set up custom "mixes" in their transmitters.
That was my first airplane here in Hawaii. It's what I learned on awesome plane.
Great information, still watching for tips on my 1st flight, you advise is appreciated, thank you
Glad we can help! Best of luck on your maiden flight 😁👍⚓😎
Great video. Lots of information, thank you.
One small thing is it could be a little confusing when you call the 0 position Safe...it’s actually considered “beginner mode” position 1 is “intermediate mode” and position 2 is “experienced mode”.....so technically position 0 and 1 are SAFE
Whooohooo.. Nice work.. Can't wait until spring!
Great vid and instruction, as always. The addition of the fpv is spectacular. The bit at 16:55 is WILD...LOL! Thanks for the outstanding content.
Great video. Would love to see a beginner video on flaps and why/how to use them. You touched on it somewhat in the umx turbo timber maiden, but I’d love to see a more instructional approach. One other video I know would be helpful for me as a beginner, telemetry and battery warnings since the newer trainers (cub s 2, umx turbo timber) all seem to have built in telemetry now and i have no idea how to use this on my dx6. Anyways thanks for the great videos.
I'm a beginner pilot and I started with a micro bf109 plane very so far I can take off from the ground and fly but I’m having trouble landing this small plane I have just purchased two other larger planes. I love your videos I'm using your tips in the field I wanted to fly them today but it's way too windy.
Small cheap planes are impossible in more than 5 mph wind which is most of the time realistically. This larger but more costly plane is ideal as it has more lift, bigger motor and large control surfaces that give good air authority.
Very well said Dave. All great points regarding larger planes and their capabilities of flying in wind 👍 Thanks so much for watching! 😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors no worries love the channel , you guys are great x
Not entirety true, small Cheap Volantex do almost 50kmhr and with skill /space can battle the breeze!
Some more good flying & tutorial- ing. Abby you should have flown. Since I haven't flown yet, don't know what to ask, so I'll just go with the Tutorials. ⚓⚓👍💖👍💘👍⚓⚓.
Just a small correction to an otherwise very good, informative video. Lift and control responsiveness does not change when flying into or with the wind. This is a very common misconception even with full scale flying.
I've never flown but I'm looking at f16 RTF eflite for first plane but a must for me in any plane is being able to take off and land in grass or concrete
DO NOT start with a Jet, they are definitely Advanced aircraft requiring a lot of experience flying before going to an EDF. Real pilots start on easy to fly propeller aircraft. Start with a High Wing Airplane like this one, BEST is Horizon Hobby CarbonZ RTF (ready To Fly) with SAFE+ and Auto Land.
Good explanations Nate:)
I love it! I hope I can fly tomarrow! Thanks Nate and Abby!
If you take the thing you measure the volts on the lipo battery does
that thing go on the inside of the plane on the battery or do you
just check the battery and make
sure it reads a 4.2.
Love your vid keep up the good work
Good videos I have learned a lot from you guys I am a beginner and a whole lot of good advice thanks . ED
For Christmas my wife got me the Omphobby S720 sport. I haven't flown it yet . It's either Raining or very windy. For my first flight I'll wait till it pretty calm . Great video. I've been watching the beginner videos and your video of the plane I have . ( ps. I watch all your videos at least twice) . Thank you so much for this video series!!!! Any advice would be appreciated. 👍👍🙏🙏⚓😀
Check your area for an RC club. They will help you check out the plane, get you on a buddy box (Your controller plus a trainer with a controller if you need their help while flying), make sure programming is correct for the transmitter (controller), rules (AMA and FAA) and many other things to make sure you are safe and have fun. Get a simulator, amazing how that helps. Good luck and have fun.
I would highly recommend a nice calm day. I also recommend a simulator. I trashed my full sized Apprentice by flying too low and slow. Something rookies always do. Remember to give yourself 3 mistakes high. That's 3 times the distance from the ground to your plane that it takes to safely get your plane level again. another thing is use a TIMER. You can set the one on the transmitter, or use a kitchen timer. I personally like an electronic kitchen timer as I sometimes forget to reset the one on the transmitter.
Hi RC Saylors, appreciate your beginner vids on flying but can u pls show some picture in picture of the vid of how you are manipulating the transmitter stikcs in sync with what the plane is doing specially when you are doing knife edge, tip stall, barrell rolls or some crazy 3d maneuvers. i think these PIPs will be helpful mapping it what the plane is doing. thanks a lot for your time.....
Gil Fermin I was thinking the same thing just regular flying
Excellent thanks
Do you have glider/ sailplane videos. I'm learning on an electric motorized sig riser 2 meter plane
Very good commentary with very useful details, thank you.
Did you check the CG before maiden?
I Physically can’t wait til it arrives
Early squad where you guys at (:
On your left
DEFINITELY NOT HERE! gotta love YT's notifications! Lol 😂
Anybody stil here?:)
Nice work. I would like to see more on pattern flying stunts for beginners please .
Your gonna want a more sporty plane than a trainer for that. I would recommend both Sport and Precision Aerobatics books by David Scott. That has a ton of information on performing IMAC style maneuvers and lays out a plan for achieving your goals to learn the various stunts and finally put them all into a sequence. For some reason, he doesn't go over the stall turn in those books. At least, I did not see where it was mentioned. That's one of my favorite maneuvers outside of the pop top. It's not easy to do properly with a trainer type plane at all. You need a plane that can at least hover at less than full power to do it easily, otherwise you will struggle with the maneuver and have to rely on timing it perfectly. Anyone can do a sloppy stall turn, but doing a precision turn around the planes center of gravity with no tail wag is a thing of beauty.
Thank you, going for instruction this weekend if mine comes from horizon hobby....app.sts 1.5
Great educational video,I thought alarons was something of Dr Who
JOHN PERTWEE oh I am getting old!!!!!
Reverse the polarity of the aerolon
Enjoying these beginner videos. I've built a few planes but haven't managed to get any of them in the air yet. Hopefully, it won't be too long until I rectify that. Turns out that I need to change out some receivers if I want to use my Spektrum DX8e for all of my planes.
You once very kindly invited me to your airfield if I could drive there. I'm working on waterproofing my car but I think I need to add quite a bit more buoyancy before attempting to cross the Atlantic in a Ford Fiesta...
@@FatBlokeDoingStuff LOL! Make sure to add a luggage rack to carry all the planes.
excellent training video. thank you for this
Really glad you found it useful NS ChazCo!
When the plane is coming towards you are the transmitter controls reversed from when it is flying away from you?
how much flight time on a battery, and how do you know the plane battery is getting low?
You showed just a little bit of video of your hand on the controls. How about doing a couple of laps with the camera on the controls and you narrating what the plane is doing so we can see how much input and the control combination.
Yes, when the plane is flying towards you left it right and right is left.
You can tell when your battery is low when the throttle slows down by a lot.
The prop will oscillate rapidly when the flight battery reaches its LVC (low voltage cutoff) threshold. Really gotta watch and listen for it. If you buy the plane from a hobby shop, they might have a simple lipo monitor for under $10 which plumbs into the existing wiring and gives an audible alarm.
What battery would you recommend for the mini apprentice?
Great Advice,, cheers.
I should've gotten this one for my first plane... I went "big or go home" and got the apprentice sts lol. Maiden was terrifying.. I ended up getting a sport cub s2 to get me familiar with controls and the disorienting part of rc flying, then I took the sts out and it was the same thing just 30 times the size lol!.
I’d like to see a similar video on piper cub/ tail dragger style plane flying tips. I’ve flown a sport cub S for 5 years and it’s super squirrely on the ground. Any advice on take offs and landings would be cool.
You said it , I have the Red Carbon cub and it is all over the place on take off. It gets determined to turn HARD left . I know its all the prop torque. Once in the air its all good.
Best advice with the Sport Cub-hand launch when possible. That model is so tiny and light a hard fart will blow it over. I set throttle to 90 percent and launch it from left hand so right stick can steer it up and away until I back off throttle and level out
So, I think you should make a video on the best second plane and perhaps an intermediate series. I just got my second plane, and It was really hard to find people who knew what to get for a small field (300ft x 400ft approx)
