I really love how he shouts at start of the video, and be calm at the explanation. U sir deserve more attention! Keep up the good work.
Thank you my man, I’ll shout even louder if you subscribe🔥
@@TheHunterHofman in contrast, I very much dislike how he shouts at me at the start of the video. Don't yell at me... Why are you yelling at me? Great DIY, however, thank you for taking the time and effort to film the process and instruct others on how to do this. Much appreciated.
RUclips is not recommending your videos on the main page. Good luck and keep up with the good work!
Yeah, it’s a bit of struggle to ‘get through’ but we power on!
Well this answer my question about doing this. I was tempted to get the PowerFlex bracket and bushings and try this on axle stands. Definitely not trying it now 😂😂😂
Wouldn’t recommend it, no 😂
Looking good my man💯
Appreciate it buddy!
Beautiful car man. Im searching for one. This afternoon I testdrove one. What a experience. Also a m240I but didnt liked it. Thought the m2 would be the same, but what a differance. Real racecar that m2. Ligt als een blok op de weg en die besturing dan...tering.. ik ben echt verliefd. Liked your videos up to the 1000000 🫡
Haha dank makker, ja het is echt een heel goede auto; als je de kans hebt er ooit een te kopen zal je er geen spijt van krijgen!
Lol..😂 you the man… excellent job!
Solid install bro, I feel the OCD with the plate being off angle lol...does the kit come with new bolts for the subframe?
Thank you my man. The kit only comes with one additional bolt, for installing the second bushing in the bracket. The OEM bolt that was in there, you have to reuse. Re the subframe; they're one time use bolts, so I bought 4 new ones (as the kit didn't come with new ones)
Another great video. Love the OCD and the humour.
Did you ever get the 2nd bushing logo straightened?
Thanks buddy. I did not haha😂
@@TheHunterHofman 😬
Hunter, could you share the part numbers for those single-use bolts, please?
Hello, if i get a knocking/clunking noise everytime i come off or on the acceleration pedal harshly at low speeds do you think this kit will resolve the problem? I believe its to do with the bushings failing near the rear diff area. many thanks in advance! great video btw
Hi mate, thanks. Yeah, it's a known problem, check this video out: ruclips.net/video/C5Npe81WKrw/видео.html
So yeah, this kit will very most likely solve the problem. Having said that, it's a really cool upgrade and really tightens up the rear of the car. Consider subscribing if you want to see more on the M2 in the future mate :) cheers
I really like this video showing the whole process I have a lift unfortunately it’s not one of those but instead the ones you drive up to and then have the ability to put the car up and down I need this upgrade for my car asap
Ah yeah, a lift like this would be necessary. It’s a really good and nice upgrade though, it made the car a lot better. Considered subscribing too mate? Good luck
Watching this again😂😁
Haha you’re the best David!
The intro gets me every time 😂😂
And there’s many to come 🤙🏻
@thehunterhofman Could you please confirm that I need two bushings with the part number PFR5-4026?
Thank you in advance !
Hereby confirmed buddy! Could you please confirm that you’re subscribed?😄
Love this video, about to do the same on my M4. What's your opinion on this after a few milles on it? Is it worth it?
Thanks mate. Yeah it’s definitely worth it. It tightens the rearend a bit more. It eliminates wheelhop and provides for a bit more planted rearend, if that makes sense. That, and it’s a nice piece of kit too. Hope that helps and good luck
@@TheHunterHofman does it eliminate it completly or just minimizes the wheel hop? how bout NVH>?
Hello sorry to revive an old video, but I have this knocking/clunk when braking or step on gas suddenly that many people have, did u have it before this change and did it go away after ?
No worries mate, happy to help. I never had the knocking issue before to be honest. I believe there is another video by someone on this. I’ll look it up for you. Edit: found it ruclips.net/video/HBoXE-JkMtk/видео.htmlsi=BzqhRBd9z9hHrBZ9
Nice video! But I dont see the point why we need to remove the calipers. Is it on the way of somethings?
Hi mate, thanks! I believe it’s to not stress the brake lines when lowering the subframe. The brake lines would possibly prevent to have the subframe lowered sufficiently, hence why you disconnect the brake calipers. The manual of the kit also said to do it (which I followed without asking too many questions😄)
What kit did you buy to remove bushings?
Hi Jarno, de link staat in de beschrijving! Let me know als je nog vragen hebt
did you noticed any clunk noise from rear when push the gas pedal and release?
Nope, all tight as can be!
Heyyyy let's gooooo
Hi. Great video. Good spanner skills. I have subscribed. Is there REALLY no extra noise or vibration off these dual Powerflex bushes vs the OEM setup please? Thank you!
Thanks for subscribing buddy. So it's been a couple of weeks since the install now, and I can (still) confirm that no additional noise or vibration with this setup is present! Hope that helps
@@TheHunterHofman Thank you! And the awful wheel hop / axle tramp also gone? 😊
@@jeremybragg4496 Although not having tested this extensively (as I don't really trash the car), I haven't experienced any wheel hop since the install anymore (thank god)!
@@TheHunterHofman thank you. I’ll let you know how mine is when done! 👍
@@jeremybragg4496 any updates mate? Look forward to your experience
No idea what powerflex bushes are or what they do but watched it till the end. Sorry to see Bill ruining the intro :).
Appreciate it mate, as ever!
Hey Man, what's the advantage of having the dual mount braket and diff bushing on ?
I mention this at the end of the video, but in short: the rear-end of the car feels tighter and more planted, also the shifts feel tighter and more ferocious! Hope you enjoyed the video and maybe consider subscribing!
@@TheHunterHofman all crystal clear thank you! Don’t worry, already subscribed a few weeks ago. Keep in touch
I saw from another video they didn’t remove the rear subframe 🤔 (but it was only said in the comments)
Seems impossible to me to be honest. Look at the bushing puller, for instance. Also look at the top bolt of the diff mount bracket; not sure how you would get there without lowering the subframe! Let me know if you need any assistance (and maybe drop a subscribe if you like what you see)!
Tracktool😅
Luv you man. Super OCD 😜
Love you too buddy
Holy shit the oem bracket bolts…. Working on my back. Never want to do that again
Yeah they are a pain! Happy with the results though?
How does it feel? Does it make sense to change? Why haven 't the front gear bushings been replaced ?
And thank you for the video
Yeah it feels a bit tighter at the rear; a bit more planted. It also eliminates wheelhop (which I previously had) and finally, the shifts (when in Sport +) are even more ferocious now. The reason for not replacing the front bushings was so that I didn't 'overdo' it. It's not a track car and I hear no diff whine now, which I'm happy about. Thanks for your comment
Nice, but you fellas' ever heard of breaker bars? Also, using adjustable wrenches on bolts is a no-no :-)
Thanks, yeah I didn’t own a breaker bar then ;)
Looks like your rear diff is leaking somewhere? No?
I think you’re referring to the bushing that came out of the subframe, that was leaking, yes. Those OEM bushings are filled with fluid and this one bursted a bit when pushing it out with the special tools (hence the fluid you see). The diff itself doesn’t leak!
HUNTER DO NOT CRASH YOUR M2
What a waste if time, that will do nothing 🎉
It made you watch though 😄
