- The Type 64 light tank, or M64 as Gaijin calls it, is one of the rewards for War Thunder's newest battlepass. It is quite literally just an M18 Hellcat turret slapped onto the hull of an M42 Duster, so slightly less power to weight but slightly better gear ratios. In essence, it is just an uglier M18. Good thing M18s are already really fun to play.

@@zarlev9083 depending on the vehicle 10 caliber gun the inside of a tank firing will sound a fair amount different than the outside I don't know how that work of an open-top vehicle.
@@clonescope2433 Yea it is going to differ. Atleast inside the wierd leopard 1 thingy, I got shook the hell out and noticably loud )))) also it would be nice to have a sound option to disable interior differing sounds, I like the third person sounds way more in WT.

Stapler (with reverb)
It seems to have inherited the Duster's ability to survive multiple direct hits without dying immediately.
The Duster hull was a lot roomier and from what I've heard better put together, Hellcat would take serious damage from hitting brush

@@cheyannei5983 pretty much other way around. In game new hull have just enough armor for aphe fuses to detonate. Irl regular hellcat often were able to survive with overpens.
I game it always random and server mind tricks.
Its because people refuse to shoot at the remaining 2 crewmembers in the hull, it is fantastic

The 76mm was a really high velocity gun, I don't know about this sound, but a tink sound is normal

I always meet the mean ones that immediately snipe my barrel and detrack me with their heavy MG.
I only do this with panthers and tiger IIs because both can pen my hull
Nah, you only REMEMBER the ones that do that. Enemies that go down quick are forgotten, no matter what there were.
And Shermans have to slow down or their stab won't kick in.

Shit it got pretty big indirect buff when wargaming introduced t10 lights and nerfed the tech tree lights
@@darktemplardelta268 ahh yes 390m viewrange while other lights had 350-360m that made it fun and it was the only light used in clan activities only maybe tier 6 amx or 6 german Light with howitzer to deal with type.

Been in a BAD match with him once, he died early and sat in spectator. I was in burn out and after watching a WHOLE team do the most moronic play in the first 1 minute I just resolved myself to spinning on the spot in an ISU before J'ing out since I was not going to join the lemmings. I doubt he shows the boring matches where kills are not being made ;)
Same with Oddbawz, was randomly his squad mate once but after dying early then getting his XA-38 clapped he buggered off. YT vids are just a showcase.

It's actually built on a Duster hull, so it would probably be Hell Duster.
One of the untalked M64 pros over M18 is much more often overpen in cause of hull hits, that really can save you from hangar screen. Its nice you given some seconds to show that in clip
Type 64/M64 supports neutral steering.

Actually Spookston, you might be able to help with something! I read the Type 64 actually used the M41's ammo racks, but I can't find any official information about it. Perhaps you could do a little digging?

Depends what you kill and how you do it and where you were on a BR scale of the battle ;) And modifiers flip out when you are out of its Tier efficiency. But hey, I was there for fun as a reward, not the false gods of RP and SL.

When I first saw that they were going to put the Type 64 in the game I was hoping for the later version, the one with laser rangefinder, computer fire-control, M41D's gun, and night vision (the one a friend of mine served in), but this is fine by me. Time to grind.

I always really liked the look of the M42 Duster, so it extends to liking the Type 64 too. It feels like a somewhat pluckier Hellcat, which is great.
