Honestly... I miss Ly herself and OG Ly's echo voice. It sounded mystic and otherworldly. Growing up, I always figured the Rayman series took place in a world that was halfway between a dream world and a fantasy magic world (if that makes sense). Them all speaking with basically mixed gibberish while having subtitles was fitting, but Ly stood out for like I said, sounding so mystical.
It's pretty impressive to see just how many design concepts were made for her regarding Rayman 3. Still glad the secret statue of her was included, but would've been cool seeing her implemented in the plot.
The japanese redesign, disbt know it happened. Its fine but changing the color of the body (to cebsor the nudity im guessing) looks really weird if you leave the tatoos on tbh.
I'm guessing she got redesigned for the same reason as Rayman in the Japanese version. Purple represents bad luck in Japanese culture, so Rayman's hoodie was changed to blue, and maybe Ly was changed to have a lighter shade of blue (I could be wrong for Ly)
Ly really shouldve came in the console version of Rayman 3 helping him taking Globox to the Drs, and dealing with the Hoodlums while Murfy is…. Squashed And imagine rescuing her and Globox by defeating Reflux, and Rescuing only her from Andre in the Final Boss?
