@Lawliet-- nah similar to the western plains of russia we have somewhat similar geographical disadvantage on the west(the now pakistan) which connects indian subcontinent to the middle east and rest of asia and through which invaders came. Now its impossible for full scale invasion because of military power.

Not to mention America has insane geography, so invading the country itself would be a Herculean task even without the fact that basically every American is armed with a gun and has the strongest frikin military in the world.

USA also gets along with its neighbors and is allied with Canada (can't remember for sure about Mexico, but we aren't enemies). All three of us would readily protect North America, even if out of fear of having an enemy next door. Kinda surprised Mexico doesn't make top 20.

Another reason why it is difficult to invade Canada, Russia, Britain, Iran, and Afghanistan is the climate. Somewhere it is cold, somewhere it is hot, somewhere it rains, or it is an island at all.
I think you haven't got the Idea of Indian geography, which is why China fears India, since Himalayas are already a big barrier. You don't know what's other side of each country, China's aircrafts aren't that much capable to fly over the mountains, other wise China would have already taken over some parts of India. And rest is because we have good trade relationship, we can't just fight for controversial places
