I thought the reason it would be impossible to invade Canada is because there is only one road across it, so even if you got in, it would be difficult to conquer both the east and west coast. 🤣
Canada could be easily invaded, as most of the population lives within 100 miles of the US border. There is, however, only one country that would be in a position to take advantage of that, which is the USA. That said, an external invader could seize parts of the country but would likely face US involvement
No offense to Canadians, but the rest of the world view Canada as a part of USA or one of their northern states. I don't know how Americans exactly feel about Canada, but Europe or Asia would never dare to cause trouble in Northern America (Canadian lands), simply because of the close proximity to U.S. military. It's just asking for suicide. ☠️ That's why some people hate USA. There is no way to come out on top, when facing the true super power on this planet, militarily or economically. Same goes for attacking Mexico, you WILL get U.S. military involvement and that is just a monumental headache for the invader.
Actually i think more than 50% of the countries are difficult to invade. Most countries have military alliances so it always ends in ww3 nuclear armageddon.
It wasn’t a speed bump the Mongols struggled to invade and had to send one of their largest armies there, also the Afghans got pushed to India when their villages were destroyed but they ruled India in Delhi Sultanate who defeated Mongols (Aluiddin Khilji was Turko Afghan king of India who helped Indians defeat Mongols)

While I agree with these most Brazilian cities are built on the coast which means that if a successful d day landing is made then they could just sweep the Brazilian south east coast and decimate the supply lines and block all factorys
impossible is not correct. navy is very small in proportion to costal area; that main power line, if damaged put more than 50% of the country without energy/communications and often small planes with drugs fly in, undetected, from countries in northwest region. May not be easy but far from impossible.
There is an apocryphal story that when a Japanese officer talked about invading the United States during WWII, he was quickly shut up. The legendary Admiral Yamamoto, who had been to the United States, told him, "You cannot invade America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." He may not have really said it, but in 1941, it was true.
Today I learned that Russia includes all of Turkey,Greece,Ukraine, the Caucasus,a large portion of western China, part of Kazakhstan, and most of Belarus.
Id probably say Philippines is also impossible since it shows that Philippines has all the boxes checked out, deadly climate, strong allies, die hard people, since history shows the many people who tried to conquer it but always failed, the climate is too hot and too hard to navigate since it’s a archipelago, the people would do everything not to get conquered, a pretty decent population, allies like usa and stuff, even the strongest countries tried but failed miserably
@@mirwan6590 Having a failed occupation isn’t the same as losing a war to them. We controlled Afghanistan for over a decade. No Afghanistan military could ever hope to defeat the US. The Taliban couldn’t even stop us from occupying the country. We failed at building up the country to be strong enough to defeat the Taliban after we left.
Australia should also be on the list. It has a formidable military force, not to mention the hostile terrain of the Outback, which is so vast and inhospitable that it’s nigh impossible to take. Not to mention that it’s crawling with some of the most deadly wildlife on earth. The same goes for Brazil and the rest of South America. The Amazon alone makes it’s impossible to conquer. The dense jungles make for impossible odds to invade and hold, just ask the Spanish Conquistadors of that. Every single micron of that rainforest would be out to get any intruder. America also has a size and terrain advantage because we have a multitude of different environments and plenty of people that are willing to fight off any invasion even if the military or government falls. Many people know of plenty of places that it would be incredibly hard to effectively conquer and hold indefinitely. From Texas’s 1 million gun owners, to the mountain in the Appalachian states, to the deserts of the western states, to the swamps and forests of the southern states and even brutal winters in the northern states. The sheer size of our terrain alone is enough to give pause to any wound be conquerer. That’s why Germany never attempted an invasion in WWII (even though they had plans for it eventually) and why Russia or North Korea won’t attempt it now. They can soften it up with a nuclear strike but there would still be many survivors that would immediately work to retaliate. They might succeed in taking out a few vital targets but ultimately too many survivors would make them regret the decision by returning fire with our own nukes. In the end attacking the US is a suicide mission because of the mutually assured destruction that will follow.
I agree Australia would be hard to invade simply because of it's size and harsh terrain, however it's military is far from formidable. Our army is very small. Our air force has about 50-75 active fighter planes at any given time and our small submarine fleet is rapidly ageing and won't be replaced by US hunter killer subs until about 2040-2050. The navy does have some fairly capable ships but not enough for such a massive coastline. Our only real major military benefit is our alliance with the US. But Australia is so huge and spread out it would be almost impossible to occupy. An invading force would most likely take a port/airfields/city in the north like Darwin and try to establish a foothold.
@@colingravon9810 That was the British Army. The Canadians tried to invade Upstate New York. The Canadians consider the War of 1812 a great victory because they repelled an American invasion. I find it interesting that in the Chinese-US war of Fallout universe, neither side could invade the other conventionally. China relied on stealth tech and espionage, and only made a beachhead in Anchorage before being driven off, while the Americans had to invent and mass produce power armor before they were able to break into China. Ultimately, only power armor wouldve allowed the americans to win the sino-american war, as it gave many, many soldiers the power and armor of a tank, with comparatively incredible agility that negated the terrain tanks couldnt traverse.
And nukes ended the war before the US could win. I like how it was never stated who launched first. I can see China doing it because they were going to lose the war, but I can also see the Enclave/Vault-Tec controlled US government being crazy enough to launch first, hoping for Armageddon.

I know you like to lean a little left, but you forgot the main reason we have never been invaded. Our civilian population is the largest standing army in the world. Japan said it best in WW2 after their failure to capture the Aleutian Islands in Alaska "There would be a gun behind every blade of grass" I know it's hard for people who grow up in really gun controlled environments to understand, but we have huge areas of population that actually just shoot for fun and don't hurt anyone or cause chaos. Just people fine tuning their skills in handling and shooting firearms. Those people are a huge part of the reason we can never be invaded.

Bruh no need, Australians are gonna release their animals to fight for them
Bwahahahahaha formidible? Pathetic more like. What, they got like 19 active personnel? Bwahahahaa
What about vietnam
As a texen I can confirm there are way more gun owners willing to fight.
