For M$ it makes sense because there at the bottom and haven’t moved the needle, for PS and Nintendo hardware sales matter so exclusivity tends to move products. PlayStation will continue delivering games to PC but not to Xbox, M$ has trained its customers not to buy games because of gamepass so why would PS bring games over for lil sells
I like PC because I can use whatever control scheme I want and mods, different storefront options, and whatever hardware I want. Basically, the options it provides are really nice. I like Nintendo consoles because I enjoy their games and their consoles always tend to be different. I used to really enjoy PS, but I haven't had one since the PS2/PSP. Honestly, I just like games in general.
Yup, I never liked the idea of exclusives. Consoles are expensive, making purchasing both difficult. Cross-play eliminated some justifications for owning multiple consoles.
Exactly so I'm happy whata going on, hopefully it continues on this path!

I chose the XBox Series X, mostly for backwards compatibility because I enjoy older games, considering getting a PS5 Pro if the rumours are true, I am not a fan of The Switch but I do like it for it's portability and cheap games on the eShop even if most of them are fkn shovelware trash.

idk wtf is going on. this generation of consoles has seemed like a disaster honestly. no cool new IPs or really any decent sequels to games have been made for this generation at all, just mid rereleases and remakes. looking back at the library of the ps4 and ps3 is just depressing. can't really blame people for only playing call of duty when there aren't any other good games out to play.
I'll agree with triple A games definitely taking a dip down in quality.
On the other hand there are so many indie studios coming out and making great games.
There's so many options out there especially ways to find a lot of games for cheap.
This generation just has so many options and great games that I can't agree with the whole statement.
I understand the mindset though.
@@24nightt maybe hades and sifu were good titles but no indie game that comes out can possibly carry this generation of consoles for me and definitely not for the average ps5 player. with the ps3 and ps4 there were generation defining games out in the first few years and even months of release but there is nothing that comes to mind for ps5 (maybe hogwarts legacy or sm2 but both games are sort of just mediocre) despite being in the latter stages of its life cycle.
@@24nightt applies to xbox as well, though i definitely don’t know as much about their library right now aside from starfield, and starfield isn’t exactly received well by people right now

Especially with getting games on sale and I definitely don't spend 70 like that lol.

Nintendo is not only the winner of the console war the number one developer and and it pisses me off because Sony's like oh we're not in competition with Nintendo yeah that's bullshit Nintendo's been stomping a fucking mud hole in Sony and Microsoft asked together. The switch has outsold the PlayStation 5 the Xbox series s and X just by itself combined. And PlayStation and MS cannot touch the exclusives of Nintendo. Okay the facts are Nintendo has eight games that have sold more than 20 million units. I think like PS5 has like one or two I don't think Xbox has any. I'm tired of the lies. And again this is not from a hater of any particular console okay I have all three I love all three I play all three. But the facts are Nintendo has dropped a nuclear bomb this console generation.

That's why Microsoft wants to always work with them, they just want a slice of the pie
I mean that's not true it is Sony is not as powerful as they used to be really Nintendo is just dominating the industry and I know a lot of Sony Fanboys don't want to believe that and a lot of Microsoft Fanboys don't want to believe that but the numbers speak for themselves okay the real winner of the console Wars and I'm not trying to get into all that has been the switch it is Nintendo that has been selling consoles hand over fist for the last 7 years not PlayStation so if any name is not to mention it was Nintendo that literally reinvigorated the whole and fixed the whole video game industry so really if there's a real company that is absolutely synonymous with gaming it's not PlayStation it's it's Nintendo okay in this by the way from someone who has all three systems and love for all three systems.

Nintendo does have shady practices and they have poor hardware but yes for a long time, they were the most sold console for 7 years.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think PS5 was the most sold finally last year breaking Nintendo's streak.
With the steam deck coming out and switch emulators, the switch has to step up a notch due to its hardware.
That's the only thing that holds them back if the Switch 2 can come out stronger and more improved.
They will continue doing great!
