Wasn't able to get the first pair but I was able to preorder these! I'm so excited to finally get to try them. The Novablast 4's were my favorite long run shoe with or without a plate. And I just can't imagine these being worse than those with long runs!
What I'd really like to know is the people who downsized half a size in the original... Should you still downsize ? Still a long toe box ? There seems to be some difference in opinion on the sizing on the new version ?
I bought the nova blast 4 and they are great my first ASICS purchase I would like to purchase a new pair of ASICS for myself and my wife, she has the gel nimbus 25
Couldn't get to love the version 1: felt rigid and never really broke in even after 150k... And the lock in was an issue. Will give these a try though, hoping I won't have to resell them after a month
Most ridiculously overhyped shoe ever, v1 was very average clunky shoe that only good for one pace, easy slow running awful. Done 350 miles in mine but overpriced for a very dull daily running shoe.
Pre-ordered mine, hoping to get them next weekend. You didn’t mention they took out the open sections on the outsole that are prone to collecting small rocks, so no more digging out gravel!
Every reviewer I have watched has failed to mention this. Majority of these reviewers barely run in the shoes they crap on about. So they probably don’t know the issues.
@@LHNguyens , really ? It’s not terrible but I often get small pebble sized rocks in mine. It’s easy to flick them out, but I’m glad they addressed it with the update.
Hi Guy Loving the content Hi I’m James from believe In the run 😂😂😂 Can you let me know make model of caps in this video kindest regards to Thomas Megan and Robbie ❤
According to the Asics website the original weighs 256g compared to V2 at 250g so unless the reviewers are actually weighing each shoe themselves, I can see why they're regurgitating what they think are facts.
@@fishwithoutscalesSG Yes weight goes up by size but you can't review version 1 size 9 and review version 2 size 10 and then say that version 2 is heavier, I don't think anyone is that stupid.
I’m sure they downgraded the upper so they can feel comfortable charging $200 instead of the original $220 for the first version when it first come out.
Well, the biggest change is that they covered up the holes on the outsole, no more stone picking ;)
Should have been the first thing they mentioned!

Love the shirt Thomas! Also it was great to see you interviewed by DBo
Thanks. It was fun talking with the the Freetrail team.
Pre-ordered mine yesterday. Can’t wait!
Beautiful landscape!
does anyone know when will they add more colorways? I'm very interested in the purple one. My fave color
September
Preordered yesterday and looking forward to logging in a shit ton of miles!

I saw another review that said no longer need to downsize.
No need
That's my question too. Version one was half a size too big for me.
Sizing has been fixed
@@ThreadsandTreadsGreenwich you sell online? Do you see people trying them?
Just love this! When’s the tee on the store?
Can't wait to keep seeing these shoes in my dreams.
How can I get the shirt?? Love it!!!
Hi. Like to Meaghan and Thomas......¡¡¡¡¡The asics superblast 2 is here!!!!!. Have a good friday.

How would you describe the space in the forefoot compared to foot shaped shoes like Topo or Altra?
It doesn’t have that rectangle shape toebox
It’ll be “shoe of the year”!!!

@@thephlegmmaster I would have known about that issue without running at all in these shoes.
Overplayed issue. Run on swedish trail and asphalt, 150km in so far and not a single rock.

What was the approximate temperature when this video was recorded?
Are they true to size? Version 1 was wasn't. They were too long. By 1/2 size.
This is crazy, several sizes are already sold out for pre-order.
Could these be suitable with someone with slight stability needs ?
How are u guys all pre ordering 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Why do they make the outsoles with small cavities so that stones can stick? version 1 is a nightmare... 😭
Me trying to pause the video to see if they had on development shoes… what’s Thomas rocking?
Hiding your Hoka hats :D
The reviews are more fun when Meg throws some low level shade on the shoes. But she clearly likes these...

Meg on the shoe pass?!
May be as good as Robbie!
What shades are those Thomas?
UVEX, they are 👌
@@Believeintherun Sweet. Thanks!
Imaging they make a shoe with just turbo with no plate and call it hyperspeed
You guys are always first with your reviews, well done guys👏🏽
There have already been a ton of reviews on other channels...
😂😂😂
Thank you 🙌
ASICS done you dirty not sending the prototype colourway

Saw several youtube reviews that say the shoe weighs less then previous version. Which is it?

@@brandonvincent8277 BITR says V2 weighs more, are they weighing it themselves? Either way we don't have a consensus on what should be simple data.

That’s not how that works lol 😂
Yo Asics make them in sizes bigger than 13!
Doesn't sound that excited ehh
Why does every pair of asics give me shin splints? Novablast 2, trinoosa, and the stability ones that I love but ruin my shins. *sigh*
Over training?
Need to work on different muscles?
Running from?
@savethisforlater it's only with asics though. NB, Nike, Adidas, Hoka, saucony, etc and I'm good.
Hopefully you don’t wear those shoes when your pacing Jim walmsley 😮
new outsole, new foam, new shape and new grip. how are those minor changes?its not a dot 5. thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard you say.
Wayyyy too overhyped these shoes 😮
Nah, SB is great and they didn’t make enough so of course the 2 is hyped up.
Huuuuuge!
