Hope it will work. I have Superblast in UK size 8 and it is a bit too roomy. I was thinking to size down this time with the SB 2 although I might stick to size 8 then.
I ordered a size 9 UK from Japan and although they were a little roomy, my concern more than anything was I had some heel rub, my fear was I was moving around in the shoe to much. However over time I think the shoe has started to flex more and I’ve had no issues since. I also have very minor Morton’s in my right foot and I’m always very aware now of making sure I’m in a shoe that allows my toes to splay more. I used to run in snug fitting shoes and my gut feeling is that was partly the cause of the condition. I’m hoping the v2 is similar and will have some toe box room.
@@mateuszdrazczyk9909 Nimbus 26 in us13 (should go half size down to 12,5us) and now us13 in superblast2 (just fine with full thumb width for longer runs)
I bought these shoes and used them for the first time in a race the very next day. I broke them in during the race, and they were bouncy, responsive, and propulsive. They can handle both slow and easy runs. I tried them on a 32km race, and throughout the run, I felt protected. They supported my high arch well during the entire race. Even when I encountered uneven terrain, including unmetalled roads (also known as gravel roads or dirt roads), they felt protective. The bounce protected my legs, calves, and other parts of my legs.
I preordered a pair. I'm likely going to use it for San Francisco Marathon. It seems like a better option then the Metaspeed Sky Paris. If I'm not fully racing a marathon because of hills.
400 miles on my Superblast and still going. Best shoe ever. Great job, Asics, not messing up a great shoe, unlike some other brands (looking at you, Saucony Speed).
Yeah, I’m going to leave it a few months and see what happens. I live in the UK, had to get my previous pair from Japan because they were non-existent in the UK. Will probably be the same for V2.
I think that the thing about this shoe. People mention the price, but it’s genuinely a "do-it-all" shoe. I’m running in a pair of V1’s now and rather than dig out a pair race shoes for the Great North Run I’m considering using the Superblast so I’m comfortable on the day. Also because the race is so busy that a race shoe is kinda wasted. Lol😂
Already sold out in my size 11 everywhere online. Such a bummer. Hope Asics releases more supply soon, as my original Superblasts are getting a bit long in the tooth. Why didn’t they learn from their supply issues with the first version??
Got mine on Monday and 70km in. A little clunky/not as cruisy as the Nimbus at 5min/km and slower, and not as fast/snappy/propulsive as a plated shoe for tempo/+ pace, but sooo much more forgiving. The toe box is reasonably accommodating, but they are not particularly wide in the midfoot. Early days, but I think it's going to be the best shoe I've worn for longer tempo runs, progressive runs, and longer Z2 runs with intervals - doesn't feel like there's much tradeoff between pace and cruisy comfort. I'll choose this every time if I'm in 2 minds about whether to put on a fast shoe or a daily.
Found some Adidas Strung 2 on sale (same price as of the SB2). In terms of shoe width who's wider? Also, what would you recommend between the 2? I'm a heavy slow runner 90kg at around 6:30-7 min/k.
Really skeptical of that new upper. Really like the motionwrap and the race day feel it has. This daily trainer upper looks that it might be super hot especially on a warm summer day, I guess I’ll have to wait and find out myself
I've got about 1000km on my Superblasts, I think it is partly due to the durability of the FFTurbo. Do you think FFTurbo+ will last as long, seeing as it doesn't need "breaking in"?
