    I think it’s strange how much people can like or dislike different shoes so much
    For me the the original superblast was okay but nothing special
    In fact it didnt even make it into my shoe rotation
    I use old racing shoes for workouts and alphafly 1 or prime x strung 1 for long runs
    And for easy runs or recovey runs there’s lots of softer more forgiving shoes
    You can’t get them anymore but for me the best everyday running shoes where endorphin speed 2 it was soft enough and comfortable enough at slow paces but you could pick up the pace and was almost as good as a racer
    and for pure easy runs the invincible run 1 or 2 where the most comfortable soft and bouncy shoes
    The superblast just feels too firm to me at easy paces and there are better shoes at faster paces

    • @tevinabdikurniapratama4276
      @tevinabdikurniapratama4276 9 дней назад +4

      That's the point. If you only have 1 shoes for running. (a lot of people is). Instead of having one shoes for that, one shoes for this. They'll go to superblast. Not particularly designed 1 type of run. The all-arounder shoes always have space for many people's heart.
      Because a lot of people just recreationally runner ( or majority of people). So. I'm not surprise that this shoes sellout quickly.
      That's why maybe a shoe rotationed people will hate this shoes because is hard to place what type of run.
      And "1 shoes people" will love this.

    • @steveh8758
      @steveh8758 9 дней назад

      @@tevinabdikurniapratama4276 maybe but personally I’d go for something like the endorphin speed or something like that, that does feel soft enough for a easy jog and fast enough for workouts and races
      Also there are lots of shoes out there that are literally half the price that do a great job of been all rounders
      I have Novablast 3 and too be honest I don’t think the superblast is actually much better if at all. Superblast is better for speed but nova blast is better at slow and can also do speed

    Loving them so far but not a huge fan of the price and supply issues.
    I went TTS for these but size half down probably would've also worked. Half size down I felt was just a bit too narrow for my liking, would've been worried about running longer distances with them. Think if they did a wide version half size down would've been good

    I've only been running in these shoes for two days, previously I was running in Nike Invincible 3 for half a year, which you added to the comparison in the video. For me as a heavier runner, the Invincible offer great energy return, but have a much less comfortable upper than the superblast 2. After your video about the superblast 1 as a new dailytrainer, I was waiting to try them as an alternative to the invincible, but they were forever out of stock. Fortunately, I managed to buy SB2 on the day of release 😀

    Got mine yesterday evening and ran my first run in them this morning. They immediately felt better than my SB1. It is basically an upgrade in every way.
    Sizing is better and the upper is more structured. The SB1 were a little on the long side. SB2 fits perfectly in my normal size.
    Foam feels amazing! Ever so slightly softer than my broken in SB1s, straight out of the box. The shoe is light and made my first run in it feel effortless.
    The improved grip was also very noticeable. I felt very confident with every strike and had zero problems with stability.
    Overall I feel like it is an upgrade in all the right places. The same amazing shoe, but even better.

      Agreed. It's sick, and people are stupid. I admire David Goggins for many reasons, one of which is that he doesn't care about how he looks; he runs with old, holey shirts, runs in simple Brooks Adrenaline if memory serves correctly, and just doesn't give a damn in general, yet still hammers ultra marathons. Another interesting thing is that the book Born to Run mentioned that studies were done in the 70s after the advent of modern track shoes with cushioning by the likes of Nike, finding that American runners were slower and more injury-prone than runners using the older-style shoes. I'd imagine so many more injuries happen now due to inappropriate shoes (especially plates and max stacks).

      I just weight my own shoe on my scales. Manufactures don't give the weights in all sizes. They usually publish weight in just one size.. around a UK 8/9/10.. in that region. But they are all different between different manufactures. So it's hard to know what to say.. So I just give a few extra words to clarify how light/heavy the shoe is.

    Hi Ben, any ideas on alternatives for the Superblast 2 as the availability is problematic as it is mentioned here. Looking for a long run shoe, with a great comfort and performance for the longer distance even with uptempo daily+ efforts, reasonable durability and a humane price. Preferably this year’s or last year’s model. Would go with Prime X 2 Strung, but the price is terrible, NBs shoes are tragedy in terms of midsole durability, Saucony Endo Speeds have weird foot shape for me… it’s a pickle these days for me.

    • @JustBrowsing777
      @JustBrowsing777 8 дней назад

      @maze1275 Hi, it's a good shoe as a daily trainer with lots of cushioning. I bought that particular one because I needed just that, and that model had the best fit out of the ones I tried. It's extremely comfortable and great shoes. But for speed sessions, it's a bit clumsy and heavy, which is fine if you have other shoes for that purpose in your rotation. But I reckon the Superblast is the better shoe to go for if you only plan on buying/owning one shoe. That's providing it fits your feet well and you're willing to pay that much for a shoe. Hope it helps. Go try some shoes to get a feel for them, and good luck on your running journey! I started running about a year ago 🙂

      don't think they do it on purpose, v1 has had poor availability throughout its lifetime. I would guess they massively underestimated the popularity and especially with such a specific shoe it can be difficult to scale up manufacturing. In "my" industry a new CNC can easily have a lead time of a year and I guess the machines for molding these foams will be even harder to get.

Before buying SB2, I read that apparently you have to buy superblast 1 0.5 size down and superblast 2 in your TTS size.
