I was able to successfully mount my Synology data folder on my ubuntu host server but I have an "x" on the folder. When I click on it it makes me put in my Ubuntu local admin password. If then allows me to continue to access the data inside the folder but requires me to put in my password every time I reboot my server. The authentication window says "authentication is required to run -gvfsd-admin daemon nfs share." Any ideas?
If I mounted my nfs Media folder from my Synology NAS with all the media folders via the Ubuntu route am I good? I ask because I also mounted it as nfs share via Portainer Volumes Media1 but that one says "Unused" right now and when I go to /var/lib/docker/Media1/_data I do not see my Synology media shares there. Am I OK for the next videos? I feel like I am, I just do not want to be off going forward. 🙂 Thanks! Jason
by chance do you have a github, i'm having some difficulties with getting my setup working properly. i'm using a minipc with windows, and i have an external synology nas with media on it
I was stuck and spent literally several hours trying to figure this out. Your videos have saved me from smashing my keyboard 😂
Glad I saved your keyboard! 😄
Another excellent video! I was struggling with this until I saw this Thank you
I'd be interested in a video/guide about what steps you take to secure your NAS
