Though Tiffany Grant's voice sounded more abrasive, her lines come off more natural -especially when she throws out german randomly. I think this is perfectly serviceable, particularly for anyone who's never watched Eva before, but I'm too set on ADV's dub now.
I really like the entire cast for this dub. The only thing that lets it down is the really stiff translation of some important lines, which manages to lose the meaning entirely ("I'm fond of you"). The actor who plays Asuka in this is great, tonally perfect and clearly having fun with the role, but Tiffany Grant is hard to surpass when it comes to english translations; she just breathes the character.
