Pacific Rim and Evangelion are different, you cant say either of them is better. Pacific Rim is a more entertaining movie for mecha fans, Evangelion is a more plot heavy movie, it is deep dark, more psychological, not a lot of people can watch it tho.

They need external power and internal power supply only gives them 5 minutes. Their plan was an estimated guess that they could sprint from their power supply to the Angel in under 5 minutes and take the Angel out. A complete shot in the dark and they had to change course mid-operation.

I have never seen evanagallian before but can some tell me about the massive randomly placed structures in the middle of a neighborhood which the giant robot jumped on for no particular reason.
That is Tokyo, or a futuristic approach on what Tokyo would look like if giant angels were descending there every other week. Those structures are either built as protection against certain disasters that would be caused by a fight between the Eva units and angels.
@@Darryd Tokyo III to be exact , a completely new Tokyo city build with so many defensive & countermeasures system. Tokyo III were designed with it's main objective to intercept any incoming Angels.
If you think about it, This is pretty much the same scene but the theme is a lot more upbeat, like the whole world's fate is NOT in the Pilots' hands, Not complaining tho, Amazing video!
The Angel adjusted his path, so it wasnt going to fall where MAGI predicted it to fall, basically, shinji had to do a last second U-Turn to stop the angel.
