This angel is named Zeruel and it was named after the angel of strength. If this Zeruel is leignimatly the angel of strength then Eva unit one was overpowering an angel that represents strength itself. That’s true power.
First half of the scene is filled with chaos and noise. The voice of Shinji marks the step: "here I am!" Explotions, the combat, loud voices, the frenzy in the launchpad, Shinji screaming, even the music is incidental and on point. It's a life-or-death moment but we never yield. After the EVA runs out of power all these noises disappears. The music stops suddenly. Human voices tones now are confused and worried, Misato is losing her boy, "we're already dead" feeling fills the field. Now we listen Zeruel only; its organic noises rampaging against its enemy. The sound of the triggers pulled by Shinji marks the rhythm just like a scared beating heart. We need a miracle to win... and it happens at last. Hideaki is amazing. He shaped Evangelion, and Evangelion shaped him.
Fucking same. Its because hes flawed, messed up, and human that makes him more relatable than most anime protagonists. He does kick major ass more so than people give him credit for. I mean he was wrecking Zeruel's shit and would have won without Yui had he more battery power left. Keep in mind Zeruel is the strongest Angel in terms of pure power and in terms of no fucks given to NERV defenses. Doesnt excuse his actions/inaction EoE but even then he was past the breaking point with no support system or love to fall back on.

In my opinion, the entire series was building up to this fight. The most notable fights being the sachiel fight(its shinjis first fight), then the shamshel fight (its tone was darker than the first), then the emergence of eva unit 01 from lelie (it was almost foreshadowing this, then finally we reach this fight…everything changes after this fight
I don´t get how people can prefer the scene in Rebuild. The battles were quick but so dirty and epic. The one in the rebuild it´s like directed by Michael Bay

The funniest part of this all is how Zeruel was able to destroy almost everything in one shot, including Unit 1's armor, but it took a comically long amount of time to try and destroy Unit 1's core.
Imagine if all machines were made so you had to scream due to the effort of operating them. How harrowing it would be to get your forklift operators licence

Nah watched evangelion on Netflix first watched all the rebuilds watched it in original dub and there is not a single character that I think is better in the original dub and rebuild than in the Netflix dub

The had to redub the film, sticking to a more literal translated script, and that's the version we got. In the original ADV dub of the series, although the VA was more shaky and uneven, the dialogue was more natural as they were allowed to take more liberties to make it flow better in English. Even the subs on the ADV release, while not perfect, was a good balance between translation and localization. Compared to the Netflix dub/sub in which Khara had more control and demanded that they follow their own translated script/notes.

Quem tem abaixo de 20 nem tem ideia de que canal é esse, somente especializado em animes e devo dizer que apesar dessa dublagem não ter ficado completamente ruim mas a da Animax era muito superior. A Misato ficou com uma voz de mulher mais velha, sendo que ela só tem 29. Similar ao que aconteceu em The Big Bang Theory com a Penny.

Evangelion is such a powerful anime because you connect with the individual characters, and part of the character's identity ingrained in western fans was the original dub

I'd love to know the reason behind not going with the ADV dub. Honestly, I wasn't that attached to the original dub but it's still a classic.
