It’s so easy to forget sometimes that there’s only 3 guys playing all these different roles. Like Pauline, Pops, Herr Lipp and Tubs are all the same person. That’s a huge testament to their acting talent and also the writing.

When actors say they have range, and then you see the guys in the League of Gentlemen....... Just on another level entirely.
The League of Gentlemen are known for their pioneering mix of horror and comedy but in characters like Les McQueen they showed they were capable of deep pathos. Mark Gatiss really makes you care about him. You will want to see how his story plays out in the anniversary specials

Steve Pemberton is a f*cking genius… they’re all brilliant of course but I think that dudes range is crazy!! ‘Justin, Justin my very own Justin’ must be one of the best delivered lines in the entire show!
Steve Pemberton (Herr Lipp, Pauline,Tubs,etc) is fluent in German, so that whole scene made sense if you speak German too
I love that you acknowledge Steve Pemberton’s acting, he is awesome. I saw these guys live in Ipswich a few years ago, Steve came down some steps off of the stage close enough for me to touch him (don’t worry, I didn’t! 😅) All of the League of Gents creators are super talented.

You should watch Inside No.9 after you finish LoG. Hard to find the later season of LoG and the movie is worth a watch too.

Hey Josh, answering your question: Herr Lip´s face effects are made with scotch tape/sticky tape, the same effect used on Edward´s and Tubbs´ noses.

You were wondering about the German section, I can kind of help but it’s been years since I did German at school . Roughly the wife has caught him doing that many times, she said sth like not again . She told the boy to leave, he said i live in Royston vasey and then she said sth like then god help you, or it’s too late. I’m sure someone with much better German can correct me tho
Yeah you kind of don't need to know German to know what they are saying really. Though it helps if you recognize where she says the English towns she's caught him in etc.
