Dude this was so properly explained. I know it takes ages to edit these videos. Thanks for putting in so much efforts for people like us!! Liked and subscribed to your channel :D
I have really just started my guitar journey after I retired. I have always loved this tune and never dreamt I would be able to learn it. But your video just explains everything so well. I am enjoying practicing this song and hearing it come together. Thanks so much!
I really love the way you guys use the media for these lessons. The way you organize the song sections, show the strumming pattern and chords logically, have the fretboard visual. And end with a follow along playthrough. You really use RUclips to maximum effectiveness in a way that very few do. And this song in particular is extra fun to play and not very hard outside of the solos, and you even make that part doable. So thanks for these!
You’re videos are so well put together and instructed that they make me think “oh I can do that” and then I do. Never thought I’d be able to touch this song until years of practice but half way through the main solo now. Great work.
A very talented young man. He makes it look so easy. I'm sure hes put lots of time and effort to get it spot on . His tutorial sounds as good as old mister Clapton..well done 😎
I used to learn this song by tabs so long time ago. I even didn't have internet so we had to bought tab books at local store to learn this beautiful blues. And you know what? Man we played it wrong way :p You are so kind to show us how Eric does it. Especially little E chord link and both solos. Thank you so much for your labor. Huge greetings from Russia!
I love how you are right to the point of everything we need to learn and don't over do the talking...your teaching skills are impeccable. So many other teachers ramble about stuff that just throws me off the actual learning....Right on Dude!!
Holy guacamole! Thank you! I tried playing this song in A minor on fourth fret for a while but I never really got the original sound. I was pretty tired already when I saw this video. I hadn’t learned anything new in a while and I kind of had given up on Layla but I tried once more. And saweet djeesas! This sounds exactly like Layla unplugged! Thank you! I feel so good having learned this! Please make more of these advanced videos.
Really appreciate all your vids. I used to just noodle around when Im holding my guitar but now, because of you I can play actual songs! Thanks a lot man. Would appreciate it even more if you give us a tutorial of James Taylor. Fire & Rain along with Youve Got A Friend. More power to you!
I tried to play this song so many times with tabs and never managed, until I found your video, you break it down very nicely and explain everything so well, and now I am finally able to play it, thanks to you :)
Dude this was so properly explained. I know it takes ages to edit these videos. Thanks for putting in so much efforts for people like us!! Liked and subscribed to your channel
I got to say thank you because I'm like 4 months in my guitar learning and because of your video/videos I learned this in a week😁 so keep up the good work I love it😁
Very good lesson. A lot of work has gone into this. The tab at the bottom while the notes are playing is a top idea as I can visualize the tab and play it in my mind . It helps me learn.
Thank you to you i have learned this song and now i can play it for my it for my guitar sir who is unfortunately paralysed and can't play the guitar anymore,he is the most talented person i know in terms of playing guitar, thank you very much this is his favourite song
This is hands down the best video out there for this song. I never thought I would be able to play this song but here I am to measure 18 of the solo. Thanks dude
Amazing guitar tutorial. Just got one question. How do you play on the 10th and 13th fret on a 3/4 guitar? It's so hard for me to press the strings without muting them. I try bending my hand and thumb to kind of wrap around the guitar but it doesn't help much.
Haven't seen this much dedicated teacher elsewhere. Subscribed right away within a few minutes. Have been studying guitar for the last two years, still struggling a lot. One of my favourite songs from my favourite guitarist. Thanks a lot for the lesson.Mastering this song is my goal now. Please make more songs of Clapton.
Absolutely beautiful! love your teaching style and technique, really informative and i've found alot of authentic videos of yours that really break the song down to those subtle dynamics ALOT of people miss. bottom line, Thanks for doing this man! your videos resonate with me and its great to finally get progress again! :)
once again, here i am learning, plus this song, that david makes it sound so simple to learn. Thank you for the effort you put into these tutorials. Cheers
I am going to watch this video 10 thousand times so I can learn the main solo... ahahah I appreciate it that you took the time to make this video, thank you very much!!!!!
Great lesson. Well explained. If you use your pinkie finger to play the D note on the B string for the Dm chord in the main riff, it frees up your 3rd finger to play the C note on the A string. (Also useful for While My Guitar Gently Weeps)
You are by far the best guitar teacher on RUclips. Thanks for all the work you put into these tutorials. A video about how to break songs down into beats/bars and getting better at catching the rhythm of songs would help a lot 🙏
Hey. Bro!!!!! This is the best guitar tutorial for Layra. This song was my favorite and want to play for a long time. Half way through now. Just need to complete Last solo!!!
Damn. WHERE were you YEARS ago?! lol. but to think of some of the insufferable Instructors I've had, one that made me closet my Guitar for years. I humbly thank you for the re-inspiration. Hoping the younger Generation appreciates how amazing your Tutorials truly are.
I've got a 6 page research paper due tomorrow but I'm watching guitar tutorials. Life is good.
Hahaha the best way to procrastinate
How did it go?
Fyre this was more important
Damn... I got exams today and here I am too 😂

SeerSmashChannel Amen brother. I finally have the time to learn some of these classics.

No doubt this is the best Layla unplugged tutorial on youtube. Many thanks, much appreciated

Advance yeah. Playing since 2 years without a teacher and this is the Dark Souls of music for me...but that song is just too good to give up.
You’re videos are so well put together and instructed that they make me think “oh I can do that” and then I do. Never thought I’d be able to touch this song until years of practice but half way through the main solo now. Great work.
Thank you! So happy to hear you’re taking things further than you ever could! Keep it up :)

Thank you very much Bob! I'm nowhere near the level of the great Clapton, but thanks for the kind words
Been playing for a year now - and this song is my goal to be able to play lol. I absolutely love this song
As a kid, I always called this the "Layla slow"-version, for requesting songs at my dad :P. Great tutorial as always, thanks so much!

I've been trying to play this song for years. You really broke it down and simplified it. Great tutorial!
You do an awesome job teaching guitar. That solo would seem so daunting, but the way you build up from the foundation makes it seem
doable.

Very good, thank you.
