You normally don't need to go anywhere near that hot... Just a straw colour will do to coat the steel, if you have got to blue heating it up or further that's gone too far. Just a bit of info from how I've done it.. I guess as long as you don't use them for anything for strength, then you'd be fine getting passed blue. Everyone has their way at doing it though.
Also, the jump to music at the end was extremely loud like 4 times... No reason to be so loud... Please in future check audio and try to keep constant sound level... Makes a massive difference to the feel of a video and feels way more professional.
Anyway, first video I've come across of yours and was good!

Burning oil into steel is not always a good alternative to paint or powder coat. It isn't suitable for outdoor use. Indoors it works very well, but it isn't durable enough to withstand the weather for more than a couple of months. As a blacksmith everything indoors can get oil, everything outdoors needs paint.
I did a test and left oil treated S-hooks outside and in my shower. The S hook outside was rusted in 3 months, the S-hooks in my shower were pristine after a year.
It's important to note, that unless you use Linseed oil and carbonize it, whatever treatment won't be as durable as my experiment. Hot dipping isn't as durable of a coating as carbonizing. I used to hot dip some products, but noticed that after a couple of months they start to rust, even indoors - the effect was no more durable than giving them raw linseed oil cold. I do my treatment by coating in a thin film of raw linseed oil and put it in the oven at 220-250 degrees Celsius for about an hour. It ensures it's all properly carbonized and protects better. But notably, no matter what, treating with oil is a temporary treatment that will wear and rust will penetrate with time.
Also, do not use motor oil, jesus christ.
