    Sold my 5.7 with 205, 000 miles on it… never had a mechanical breakdown on the motor ever. Not even a water pump. Fully synthetic oil change from day, one every 3000 miles. Took good care of the jeep and like I said I sold it after 10 years was 205,000 miles on it.

      The ugaduga is the official measure of torque, and just saying it provides an extra 10% torque

    I’m caught in VW GTI Land right now, and my jaw dropped at how easy your Charger is to work on. I’m stunned.
    I should have listened to Dad: MOPAR or no car

      Each have their pluses and minuses...I've worked on both, and I'll take, for the most part, a rear wheel drive v8 over a front wheel drive most of the time

      Ehhh no lol. After 2013. It's not Mopar anymore. Chevy ain't chevy and ford ain't ford. Chrysler dodge jeep and RAM got bought out by Fiat and just mad their cars cheaper. GM is practically owned by China. And ford can't build a functional car to save their ass
      For the most reliability it's honda or toyota. Then any other car if you can do the work yourself

    Your the best instructor. This video is a gold mine. Thank you.

    A little more work on the focusing in the camera
    like when you showed the coolant strip.
    Other than that loved the video super informative and definitely will be looking forward to more videos.

      Autofocus doesn't always focus where you want it to, and most of the time its not noticed until editing...after the work is done...

    My challenger is turning 100k, great vid!!!
    question for you....what do you think this sound is that my car makes...it sounds like a old mans back creaking...when breaking. It's not my brakes I get those done on the regular but the creaking remains. Am I missing some lubricant maintenance somewhere??

    • @StyxxxxRiver
      @StyxxxxRiver 4 месяца назад

      Sounds like ball joints or control arms

    On the coolant, just a fill and drain, no flushing needed? When is flush needed for coolant, or is it not required? Thanks

    • @MoonBuiltGarage
      @MoonBuiltGarage  3 месяца назад +2

      I don't believe a "flush" of the coolant is necessary due to the condition of the coolant, but I could be wrong..I am comfortable enough with my decision to just drain and replace, but others may feel differently.

      Nope, just drain and fill. The service interval is set with this in mind. Flushing is only needed in case of contamination.

    What jack point are you using for front? Looks like your lifting on the pinch welds with a cup jack.

    • @MoonBuiltGarage
      @MoonBuiltGarage  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, that's where I'm lifting from. I usually use a hockey puck with a notch cut in it to go on the punch weld...I just couldn't find it 😕

    • @jetbluify
      @jetbluify 7 месяцев назад

      @@MoonBuiltGarage Ah! Didn't think it was possible to lift without notched puck on pinch weld without crushing it.

      I’ll sell you mine. I have a 2019 dodge challenger RT with 100,600 miles. All oil changed done between 3,000-7500 miles and lifters with gaskets were done at 93,000 along with front control arms, sway bar links and shocks and struts on the front and back. All fluids were done when the lifters were put in. Brake pads and rotors were done last week as well.
