So, you should rename your video or admit you know nothing of tennis. I've played it since I was 12 yrs old. I'm 55. Martina was at the absolute zenith of her game, Steffi was just getting going, and Martina most certainly DID NOT "own" her. She played better bit didn't own her. Steffi made multiple unforced errors at key points. Navratilova was just a better player at the time.
In 1987, Steffi Graf lost a grand total of TWO (2) matches. Unfortunately, both of those matches were in Grand Slam finals (Wimbledon and the US Open, respectively). There was, indeed a bit of controversy at the end of 87, as despite Navratilova winning those two major titles, Graf still held the #1 ranking at the end of the year. This controversy is, today largely forgotten, as Graf’s 1988 stands as pro tennis’s greatest year ever. We may never see its like, again.
Martina used that racket to win the 87 Wimbledon and US Open; eventually using it, all the way through the 88 Wimbledon. At the 88 US Open, she debuted a new Yonex, wide body frame, with which she would eventually win Wimbledon in 1990.
SEP 21, 1987 MARTINA NAVRATILOVA BEAT STEFFI GRAF ONCE MORE TO WIN HER FOURTH U.S. OPEN CROWN FRANK DEFORD “At Flushing Meadow, McNeil surprised No. 1 seed Graf-and everybody else-by winning the first set 6-4, though, to be fair, Graf had come down with fever and flu. For the finals the next day Graf still had some fever."
You can clearly see that Steffi was ill with a flu-like condition. She normally never had sweat pearls on her face but in this match she was already sweating in the first game.

@@tennisking3300 No, you weren't watching. The score belies the players. But you can live in whatever delusion you want.

She was often sick when she lost.
