Have had the Biturbo Everest Sport for just over 6 months. Finding it much more driver friendly than the 3.2 Everest Trend previously owned. Big improvement in the Sync3 system, better ride and better economy also. The Sport picked up all the shortfalls in the previous Everest being keyless entry and ignition, leather seats and lights that actually show where your going. Looks great, handles well, loving it so far!
In 2019 I was about to buy a Pajero Sport but got talked into an Everest. I loved the Everest, but thought they were too expensive at the time, but the dealer gave me a price that was essentially only $5k over the Pajero Sport, so I went for it. Now, in March 2022, I have had two Everests. Both Trends; 2-litre Bi-Turbos. The first being a 19.75 replaced by Ford by the second one, a 20.75. The first one blew an engine at 26000km due to a failed oil pump and had the famous rust-in-doors, bonnet and tail gate problem. The car that replaced it had problems with the transfer case. A friend of ours had a 19.25 Trend with the rust problem and eventually Ford replaced it. The replacement car, a 2021.25 also ended up with rust within 3 months of getting it and then the complete AdBlu system failed. They sold it and got a new MUX. A business colleague of mine has an Everest Sport that Ford gave him after the transmission failed in his first. Now, his new one is starting to have transfer case issues. They are a great, good-looking package, with lots of tech for the price (although Ford removed a lot of features in the latest 2021 model, for some reason) and the 2 litre goes like a scalded cat. They are just unreliable and the leather seats, I found in both cars, are shite...horribly flat and unsupportive without much bolstering giving you sore hips after a long trip. Unlike others with similar problems, I cannot fault Ford's service. They supported me very well all the way through the repair and replacement process, so credit where credit is due. Just hoping the new Everest won't have the same unreliability that the current one has. The outcome of the story? I have sold my second Everest (which I absolutely loved) and have found that is actually difficult to find something with similar features for the price to replace it. The new MUX looks the goods but you can't use the 4WD drive system as an AWD in the wet on sealed roads (like the Everest) and feels cheap and nasty inside and is expensive for what you get (an archaic 4WD system and not many features). The Pajero Sport appears to me to be the only worthy replacement at the moment, but it is smaller inside and won't have the same "go" as the Everest had. But I won't be buying another Ford. Unless time shows the new Everest is much more reliable than the current one.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Everest. In my country a lot of Everest owners are having similar problems as well. Unfortunately Ford after sale service in my country isn't that good, they usually just blame it on the customer and refuse to fix. I've been considering the Pajero Sport and the Everest and to me the Everest is still better all around in terms of driving feel and interior space. Have you looked at the new Everest yet? It looks incredible on the outside and Ford also extends the wheelbase by 50mm, the interior also has 2 large LCD displays. Altogether the new Everest looks and feels more modern. However it is still using 2.0 bi-turbo so I doubt any reliability issues are fixed.
It’s a good looking vehicle. Decent room for the third row passengers, and still a bit of boot room, when the third row seats r in use. No wonder this is a popular vehicle. Great vehicle for the price.
After getting my bi turbo Everest Sport in August i finally got to give her a decent run, Melb - Yarrawonga (approx 3 hours) return this week, loaded up with the family and half the house. The thing ate up the road. I’ve never had a more cruiser, comfortable and easier long distance drive. It stuck to the road at a constant high speed and overtakes were incredibly easy. Extremely punchy when required at highway speeds. Now to clean 1000+ bugs splattered on the nice looking front end…

It would be nice if you can demonstrate some additional details in your reviews such as the radar cruise, auto-hold feature etc. What I've found is although some cars have radar cruise, it does not come with a Stop/Start system which is really useful in Traffic. Also, with some cars, the Auto-hold function is turned off every time you switch off the engine and needs to be turned on every time you start the car. The German cars have the ability to remember your previous settings and retain them every time you switch off the engine. These are fairly small things but from experience, they do add a lot of value in day to day driving.

If they sold this in Canada and the United States, they'd sell like crazy as it's truck based and diesel powered. Don't know why Ford doesn't sell them here.
Jason Swift It’s our gay emission laws that keep diesels from being a thing here. I’m sure just the fuel efficiency numbers on diesel cars would sell them like hot cakes especially considering how much driving we do.
What about the windows, I have ford Territory and the window was awful , always break down. I just want to know if the Ford Everest still have the same issued with the window. Thank
Everest is punchier to drive and offers more tech and gear inside. But - Prado is about to be updated with the new 500Nm diesel. I’ll be looking forward to having a drive of it soon!
We don’t get this vehicle in the US. It looks good. The engine (hp) is a bit weak, though the torque is pretty good. How does this vehicle compare to the Grand Cherokee?
Great, honest review Paul. Thanks for posting and good to see I've found you again! Take away the 2020 tech of the Everest, how would you compare its driveability compared to the last series Territory (which I still love).
Ive never thought Ford would build a very economical, decent price, very excellent reliable car like Ford endeavor or Ford everest in east asia. I would choose this car over Ford explorer or expedition more expensive this is the real Build for tough.
This is similar in concept to the first Ford Explorers in the US, which were also heavily based on the Ranger. I kinda wish they still made them like this instead of the car-based approach they use now.
It always shocks me to see "big ranger" since it's literally the smallest truck in Ford's lineup in the states. I do like this vehicle. I wish we got it instead of the egg-shaped Edge. That being said, it needs to be a 5-seater, and it's needs the 3.5 ecoboost with about 350hp. Good review, Paul!
its funny where the Everest bettered in space over the Territory but how the Territory still did things better, both Australian designed and engineered it would of been awesome had they managed to perfectly mix the two Territory had more 3rd row leg room and shoulder room but suffered without the split folding third row and boot space with the third row up, Everest suffers on leg room and shoulder room, however gains split folding and has more rear space with the third row up,

I'll still have full sized alloy spare, active noise cancelling, rear seat AC controls (not just fan speed), 8-way electric driver's seat, not 6... Apparently they needed to hit a price point and though it was easier to "trim" features :o(

Hey Paul. Congratulations on starting youtube channel on your own. Well done. A few things I have been noticing in your reviews which are worth highlighting and it is becoming very apparent with recent reviews. Just finished watching Ford Everest posted recently. Firstly about design and outer profile. Noticed that most channels only focus on the bottom half of the car describing the design and profile. Often upper half explanation takes back seat and miss on explaining pillar A, B and C. Also miss out on explaining complete design profile and aerodynamics. Other point specially about Ford Everest review- Is it 2 Ltr Turbo diesel or Bi turbo. Seems like it was explained as Turbo diesel in the video. Hope you find my comments valuable. Thanks
Is there an option to untick the blue contrast stitching? The Everest Sport is growing on me..Or do I spend the extra $20k and go for the Nissan Patrol Y62 Ti ? :) :) :)
So, of the off road capable SUV's currently available in Australia, which one has the most toe leg and head room in the second row? The Everest is a big car on the outside so I was a bit surprised to see how tight the second row appeared to be. I've been told by a couple of salesman that the LDV D90 is 'best in class' for space in the second row but I'm not sure if a) that is accurate and b) whether that is reason enough to buy one... The Toyota Kluger has heaps of room on the inside but it is only an all wheel drive and doesn't have much of a towing capacity unfortunately.
Purchased the 3.2 Sport last month. Brilliant package and love the styling. Test drove the 2 litre, ok but bit busy. Comfortable and Capable 👍🏽 Only improvement would be 7 speed box.

This is nice. Too bad they don’t sell it here in the US. I don’t like the look if the smaller SUVs here and the big ones are too expensive. What I’d really like though, is a Ranger with the front end of a Bronco.
Great review, love your style and level of detail. I am currently in the market for a 4x4 tow vehicle. I will be towing boats from 1800kg to 2300kg. But as always most driving will be around town and a fair bit of highway stuff. Is the sport the best to go for? I am also looking at a Prado GXL. Which is the best package?
hey mate! i was in same situation pervious year. Prado GXL was good in the category but the tech was outdated (They revamped this year though). Prado engine has DPF issue which can potentially cause EPA fines. But Pardo has a good fuel capacity. After the consideration , I bought a new Ford Everest sports. @@bryan4687 GC is absolutely not above this class by any metric other than advertising. Build quality is worse, capability is about equal, dimensions about equal. And the Everest Titanium was designed with the pure purpose of taking sales from Prado.
Either way, 500nm is now pretty standard. Fortuner, Everest, trailblazer all at that point.
I"m driving an acrylic white Everest sport, had it for just a little over a month, I'm loving it. I'm still in the process of modifying it as you've mentioned in the video it only has 157kW horsepower, I'm changing the exhaust and then I'm going to get it tuned which should see the horsepower increase by around 25-30% to 200kW.
Add a third turbo
In the market for one at the moment, glad I came across this review. It hasn’t t changed my mind, but I at least know what to expect beforehand.
Sync 3 ? i do hope the electrics are going to last for the newer models ? Our Ranger Just out of warranty, infotainment system and its driver assist is falling apart after 100 thou ks . We dont even have a radio any more. Also it occasionally says that different things are not working, pre collision alert etc, etc. I didn`t realize that Thailand had Monday build cars ?
Hi Paul. You mentioned "it has Bi-led headlamps, LED for the low beam and led for the high beam"
Question: is that what 'bi-led' means? I always thought bi-led means both low and high beam in one light/bulb housing.
Please explain. Thanks.
If they sold this in Canada and the United States, they'd sell like crazy as it's truck based and diesel powered. Don't know why Ford doesn't sell them here.
Probably because our retarded emission laws
Jason Swift It’s our gay emission laws that keep diesels from being a thing here. I’m sure just the fuel efficiency numbers on diesel cars would sell them like hot cakes especially considering how much driving we do.
Thanks for the review mate!
No problems. Thanks for watching!
In india, we get panoramic sunroof in Ford Endeavour (Everest), despite having AC vents in the same place...
HAHA
its india ...soo...yeah
But we get only 2 liter engine that produces 167 bhp compared to what they get(210 bhp)
@@adityak1111 yupp bi-turbo coming soon...
@@prakharverma6283 but there is no official announcement. Its only rumours
@@adityak1111 Hmm
What about the windows, I have ford Territory and the window was awful , always break down. I just want to know if the Ford Everest still have the same issued with the window. Thank
Ur reviews are awesome sir, I'm becoming a fan.
It would be nice if they made an Everest Raptor.
Agreed!!
Question ! Prod GXL is probably a couple of grand more. Prado is defacto standard for bushventure. How does the Everest stand against it ?
Everest is punchier to drive and offers more tech and gear inside. But - Prado is about to be updated with the new 500Nm diesel. I’ll be looking forward to having a drive of it soon!
Prado are old. If you want a Prado wait til new generation in 2022.
We don’t get this vehicle in the US. It looks good. The engine (hp) is a bit weak, though the torque is pretty good. How does this vehicle compare to the Grand Cherokee?
Mmmm. Choice of colors available!
How about any color you like as long as it's black !?
Great, honest review Paul. Thanks for posting and good to see I've found you again! Take away the 2020 tech of the Everest, how would you compare its driveability compared to the last series Territory (which I still love).
I have the 2.0L.twin turbo and LOVE it. Fantastic vehicle. So glad I didn't buy the Prado.
Me too. The 2.0 really surprised me just how refined it is. When you put your boot in it sounds like a petrol and has plenty of grunt.
8:30 ford endevour in india has panoramic sun roof with ac vents on top so you are definitely wrong
Been waiting for this review, i couldn't wait!!
I really like this review lol, great job guys, keep up the great work!!
Thanks!
4:13 you absolute legend. have not ever laughed that hard in a car review. for the lulz hahahahha
Nice video Paul. I love the styling of the Sport model!
Do they blow up tires like the Ford Explorers from the 1990’s to early 2000’s in the USA?
its funny where the Everest bettered in space over the Territory but how the Territory still did things better, both Australian designed and engineered it would of been awesome had they managed to perfectly mix the two
Territory had more 3rd row leg room and shoulder room but suffered without the split folding third row and boot space with the third row up, Everest suffers on leg room and shoulder room, however gains split folding and has more rear space with the third row up,
When are manufacturers going to realise that boxy shaped, utilitarian 4x4s are the ones that are going to sell!
Very true - they’re all jumping on to this trend now.
CarExpert I don’t think they are haha. Jimny and the g wagen are the only ones in the market.
Like it a lot, but,,, that 2022 Everest 3.0 V6 Wildtrak X, well, that's the one.
True!
Fully agree, i dont like all these tomato shaped big cars, box is still more elegant
Delivery for my new RWD 2.0 Trend is scheduled December 3... Looking forward to a little softer ride after 3 years in a WildTrak. Fit, finish & feature is excellent, though my missus will miss heated seats. I was fortunate to get one of the last MY2020.75 builds before Ford pulled a bunch of stuff out... I'll still have full sized alloy spare, active noise cancelling, rear seat AC controls (not just fan speed), 8-way electric driver's seat, not 6... Apparently they needed to hit a price point and though it was easier to "trim" features :o(
600 ml je standardna boca u Australiji? U Europi je 500 ml. Možda je u tome problem ako je proizveden po EU mjerilima?
Can't believe Paul didn't answer this question
Just got this best brand new, and we're loving it. I've got the XLT Sport one and petty both WebCam USB port and the automated boot door are not available (only in the top-range Sport). Overall it is a beast.
Should I buy this or wait the 2022?
Does the sport have blind spot monitor and sun roof?
Hi Paul ... love all your reviews. like your pinpointing of the traction of the vehicles. Can you please do a review of the 2020 Ford Everest LTD (Titanium} 4X4. Not the latest one. I saw the sport one, but will love to see him in action.🤣🤣
Thanks
Me liking this car then realized I live in America
Why brother, what's the problem ?
Ford is American brand, right ?
Don't you people use SUV or is thr something els ?
In America, you have so much choice!
Why do we never get the cool cars in America?
@@dexterfandango think about us, i am from India 😅
We do have many brand, but we don't get thr flagship model !
@@TheVallum HAHAHAH, Those Australians always getting the nice things!
I drive a 2020 ford everest titanium 4x2 and it is very capable on anything.
It’s a good thing!
Always loved the Everest, and great review as usual!
Thank you!
I have a 3.2 Titanium plus, very rugged and reliable, spares are cheap and durable, its a keeper.
Ford web site says Everest Sport comes with 3.2L diesel engine. There's no 2.0L Diesel version O.o
3.2 or 2.0
It’s available with both. The 3.2 is $1500 cheaper 😁
I thought this car as huge but when you stood in front its just big that's it. Whats your Hight mate ?
185cm 😁
@@CarExpertAus lol No wonder it was a tight fit in the back seats. Well done for fitting in :-)
Is there an option to untick the blue contrast stitching? The Everest Sport is growing on me..Or do I spend the extra $20k and go for the Nissan Patrol Y62 Ti ? :) :) :)
Go to the right dealer and you can get the Y62 fire $75k only $10k more than the Everest. Better motor, more size, better trim 👌
The Toyota Kluger has heaps of room on the inside but it is only an all wheel drive and doesn't have much of a towing capacity unfortunately.
why pick this over the explorer or the edge?
Hi i wold like to see a video how operate the intrior butens and how to driev!
Thank you for your review about this SUV. I wonder whether in the future can also review the update Ssangyong Rexton And Korando as well.
Thanks! We will try and get our hands on one.
@@CarExpertAus Great :)
You can actually get a Panoramic Sunroof in the Everest Titanium! The vents are still roof mounted too.
One of the best review video
Thanks mate, appreciate it!
I really like your reviews very helpful thanks 😊👏👏👏🙋♀️
Purchased the 3.2 Sport last month. Brilliant package and love the styling. Test drove the 2 litre, ok but bit busy. Comfortable and Capable 👍🏽 Only improvement would be 7 speed box.
the 2 liter is a 10 speed
Is it not a 2.0L Bi-Turbo? Not single like was mentioned
What’s the 0-100 on this? If it’s under 10seconds I’ll buy it
Why such looks combination are not available in India
fantastic but its a shame it doesnt have the split rear hatch of the territory
Great review bud, thanks.. Mines arriving end of August.
I'm putting 2 inch lift, bigger wheels and wider guards oh and front anchor points.
We live staying on the islands in SEQ etc.

Don't waste your money adding too much arb jewellery. I own a stock everest and have taken it off road and it is great. Its as good as a land cruiser. Dont waste your money in arb. Probably At tires and some protection.
The Ford Everest is from the exact same company that launched and produced the Ford FG Falcon.
Paul is so chill! " This is for the lols" haha
😅 thank you!
hi. will you be able to do a detailed review of the 2020 (2021) Toyota Fortuner, please? Would also be great if you can do a comparison review between the Fortuner, Pajero Sport, and the Everest. thanks
Would like to see an Everest with the wheel base of a Ranger
This car would work well in America for rural areas. It’s an suv with the ride height of a truck and the same off-road features! And there could be possible room for an ST or Raptor model!
How would you compare this to the new Prado?
Hope Australian Engineer will redesign Ford Everest 2022 spare tire location will be inside the 3rd row. Just like in Ford Explorer beneath the 3rd row seats
Where do Prado stand in all your SUV reviews ?
8:30 actually you can get a panoramic sunroof in the top spec titanium
This a specific review for the Everest Sport which fits between the Everest Trend and Everest Titanium. The Titanium is about an extra $15,000 so not sure if it is worth the extra.
You’re right; Sumit! Apologies about that.
Are those wheels stock?
Yes :-)
@@CarExpertAus in india this comes with 18 inch wheels and its named endeavor 😌😌
Hi Paul, this is Mohsin, always been a fan of your reviews the way u detail out everything, mate just wanted you to do a comparison review of Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Pajero Sports as I kinda confuse of which one to buy for,
That would be very much appreciated,
Thanks
Hey Mohsin - thanks for the feedback. Check out our recent Pajero Sport review for some more detail on it 😁
Does it have Adblue.
Really like your reviews, keep it up! My only small criticism would be the amount of times we cut to something close up your talking about just to see your hand caress, point or stroke it.. its seems a bit old-school instructional vid! Otherwise, really enjoying the reviews.
This is nice. Too bad they don’t sell it here in the US. I don’t like the look if the smaller SUVs here and the big ones are too expensive. What I’d really like though, is a Ranger with the front end of a Bronco.
How about the skid plate ? Plastic or metal?
Nice car. Would of thought you could integrate car play without a cable. Also do these have the same issues that the rangers do?
The china models can come with a panoramic roof along with nicer soft touch door trims
You’re right! Our Titanium model has the panoramic roof too - sorry about that error!
I like the Everest but I don’t think I could part with the coin for one compared to a Pajero Sport when you compare kit and finish levels.
It runs awesome but i wish the fuel capacity (80L) should be more and there is a growing concern of rust issue in the vehicle.
Great cruise control.. it drives to the set speed and follows at a safe distance behind slower cars unless you take control.
